After updating to firefox 3.6.8 on my macbook pro (OS X 10.4.11) Firefox fails to recognize subsequent mouse clicks. You can access the page initially, but then it seems to lose focus and become unresponsive to mouse clicks until you do something to break the cycle (clicking on desktop, minimizing and resizing window, etc). I reinstalled Adobe Flash update using full installer, since others have suggested that as a possible cause, but no joy. The browser window still does not recognize mouseclicks after an initially successful page load. You can tab to the next window (for example, if you want to enter something in search) but you cannot CLICK to enter the search window, nor can you click on links on the page, etc. It is totally unresponsive.

Why does Firefox constantly go into "Work offline" mode on the "File" tab? I have NEVER told it to do that, and every time I uncheck it, pretty soon it's in that mode again, w/ out my action. Very frustrating!

I have no idea how to remove the links that are underneath the main toolbar (where the back and forward buttons are, refresh, etc.). I know they got there by either Apple default, or by me accidentally dragging something there. I have tried dragging them away, and they don't go anywhere. I tried dragging to the trash, etc.

I can't turn the webmynd sidebar off. I don't like it at all and would like to disable it. Thanks

Firefox updated to 3.6 about 5 times onto my computer. Why is that? I open Firefox, and it upgrades to the new 3.6 and then about 3 days later, I open Firefox and it updates to 3.6 again.

Before it is suggested, I have fully updated the browser, and updating flash more times than I can count. In addition, this has been going on through many firefox updates, so it is not limited to just the recent update.

I run Firefox on OSX Tiger, and for about a year now firefox has about a 50% chance of randomly closing whenever I view a website that has streaming video content. Some examples are ESPN, Hulu, MLB.tv and YouTube.

It is NOT an official crash though. No crash reports are registered, no error messages are given, Firefox simply closes completely with not so much as a "terminal error" pop-up. I usually have to watch content from sites that use steaming content on Safari just because Firefox is so unstable on my system when loading ANY video content.

This issue is NOT limited to flash, as Firefox will do the same thing with non-flash video with pretty much the same regularity.

PLEASE don't just tell me to update again, I've done that countless times for each and every update of Firefox in the last year. It has NEVER worked. Although I'm 95% sure that flash is installed fine, because I never have any problems with it on Safari.

First I have to say that I find Firefox very well conceived. I am a big fan and I think I will still be using it. However.....

It is amazing to see how many un-answered or un-solved posts on "How do I delete visited websites from the url-bar" or "History will not clear in address bar" can be found here. I am not so much annoyed by this flaw in Firefox as I am WORRIED by whom and where the undeletable datas from the History are stored? Where on my computer can I have access to them? Are they maybe stored online as well? Do Firefox have access to them? In this case there might be a slight breach in our Privacy Rights..........

I may be a little paranoiac here but there is an undeniable observation: Firefox won't let us access to all of the datas saved by the History. If someone could be able to tell me where on my hardw drive (or elsewhere) the visited websites are stored, that would prevent me from thinking that a serious conspiracy is being undertaken within Firefix's staff.

I want to organize my bookmarks by sorting (A-Z). I can do this by choosing an icon from the "organize bookmarks" page, but my list reverts to the order in which the bookmarks were made. I see that 3 other users have complained about this glitch. Is there a fix in the new Firefox 3.6.7?

I have cookies enabled, I'm not using private browsing. My back button stopped working on the last Firefox update. As well, if I enter my username in sites I visit on a regular basic, ie) Facebook or my work email. It doesn't auto complete my username anymore.

I have erased and re- uploaded and installed firefox on several occasions now but it does not rectify. I'm on OS 10.4.11 and firefox version it the latest with all flash updates installed.. Sometimes I can go back, most of the time I cannot.. Please help.

When I download Firefox using the 3 step guide for my Mac, the icon is shown as an external drive and not the usual Firefox icon. I drag it into the Apps folder as suggested, but when I try to follow the next steps to place in the dock it will not do it. I try clicking on the icon to open firefox but nothing works. When loading a page or link the page says it's 'done' loading but the loading bar is still not complete and the page can not be clicked on. I cannot reload the page as I can't click on any of the buttons and so I have to close the window completely and re do it this happens many times before I get it to load completely and work properly.
