PLEASE help me find a way around this 'so called' improvement of auto downloading any attachment or file to my Downloads folder without any choice from me. I have checked the 'always ask' in General settings - this functionality DOES NOT WORK - IT IS A waste of time. When prompt asks what you want to do, it auto downloads IN THE BACKGROUND even if you say open and do NOT check save option. This is a MAJOR frustration, makes extra work for me to have to remember to go back to Downloads to delete all these files that just pile up, where I separately saved-off the file as usual to my other, separate intended directory. We should have the right to make that decision on whether or not we want to save it to our computers and take up space. PLEASE REVERSE THAT FUNCTIONALITY TO WHAT IS WAS BEFORE. THANK YOU>

I have always counted on the Notifications in Messenger to tell me when someone: posts a reply to any of my posts, mention my name, tag me ETC.

I am not getting new Notifications in Messenger currently.

I KNOW there were replies to some of my own posts on my own facebook, but I have not received any Notifications in Messenger of these new posts.

I have searched and searched and keep getting help with things to do things that are NOT there, like a profile picture in the upper left...there IS no profile upper left!

This feature has seemly been fading as time goes on, used to get lots of Notifications in Messenger some time ago, and then it seems less and less.

I have received emails asking why I did no reply?

I would like to receive these Notifications in Messenger fully or at least have some control.

I am reading messenger on a disk top in Win 10 in Firefox 99.

So even on a unprotected machine, some webpages VERY slow to load but not all. My internet provider, Virginmedia, is also my email provider and sometimes this email homepage times out. Had the same problem with win 10 and did think, wrongly, that installing win 11 would cure this. It did not. Any ideas on this. A good friend is a computer tech so you can get technical. In `task manger` anti virus etc has been stopped.

I'm using Firefox version 99.0. Windows 10, version 21H1, OS Build 19043.1586 I am on the web page for Yahoo Mail. When I need to print an email 1. If I print using the system print dialog: The heading of the email (Headline,From, To, and Date) prints. The rest of that page does not print. The text of the second page prints.

When i am loading my proxy into the multi container app i get a message that reads "please enter valid url link" do i need to enter an actual link or just the proxy numbers and port? I reached out to my proxy provider and they do not provide an actual link to the proxies.

Logged into https://www.expedia.com/ the home page tries to open but a second or two later I see a blank, white screen. I "Turned Enhanced protect off" Expedia page still blank I open GOOGLE and Expedia works perfectly

I have always used Gmail to email links, but it has stopped working. In Settings/General/Applications, the 'mailto" gives only the options "always ask", "Firefox (default)" and "use other". Previously the option to select Gmail was there. In fact, the list of applications only has 6 items instead of the numerous ones that were there previously.

I travel for work and often stay at IHG properties (Holiday Inn, etc.). I have Firefox as my default browser; version 99.0. I cannot login to their wifi using Firefox; I have to copy the address and paste it into Google Chrome and after confirming my information I am able to browse normally until the next day; It must reset at some point.

When downloading files from within Firefox, the option "Always ask you where to save files" seems to have stopped working recently. (Since version 98 or 99.) Sometimes it appears the selected files don't download at all, and other times it looks like they get downloaded to the Downloads folder. Still others, especially .pdf files, get downloaded to some unknown location, and then get opened in another application. I experienced no problems up until just the last week or two.

Good day! I trust you all are well. I am using a Kensington Expert Mouse (wired, K64325), and KensingtonWorks application for settings. Although I use the slowest scrolling speed, the scrolling is still very fast i.e. one click is a full screen. In other applications the settings are working well. How can I slow down the scrolling? I've been noticing lately that Firefox takes a while to start loading pages after it requests a restart or recovers from a crash.

I've followed all the advice in the forums including disabling session restore, but the problem persists.

It seems to be doing a lot of disk activity when it restarts either after requesting a restart or if it crashes and I start it again.

Anything I can do to address this issue?

Trying to create a new account with CRA for tax purposes, after 20 questions got a message that I need to adjust my setting regarding Java Script Function. Don't have a clue what that means

Under Privacy and Security I have Firefox set to 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' with no exceptions listed.

When I close and reopen Firefox, the cookies are correctly deleted, but the cache is not. I have to manually go into this setting to delete them. This also happens if I go to the menu bar setting of 'history/clear recent history'.

I want to keep my history of where I've been, but clear clear cookies and the cache every time close.

This doesn't seem like an unreasonable request for a browser that bills itself as being privacy oriented, but I don't see how to do this. Doing banking, I have to manually go into Privacy each time to get this done to clear the site.

From looking at previous answers to this question it seems the current way Firefox is designed this is "not a bug, but a feature".

When using Google Meet, you are given the option to share your screen — either the entire screen, or a specific Firefox window.

I've noticed, however, that no matter what Firefox window is used, if you access an extension that creates a pop-up dialog, such as the Container selection button from Conex, the uBlock origin settings popup for each webpage, or a password manager pop-up such as Bitwarden, those popups will appear on the shared window, even if you decide to do this from another Firefox window altogether.

This is a major security concern for me, as I've had circumstances where the password entry window for Bitwarden will appear on any window, even if I open the extension pop-up from a window not being shared to Google Meet. I'm not sure where to submit this issue, so I'm starting from the Mozilla support page and going from there. Would appreciate anyone's help on getting this issue resolved. Thank you.
