i am using windows vista, my antivirus is bitdefender. I have to reinstall firefox every 3-4 days (if im lucky) because it stops working, tried most things suggested. Any ideas????

As you can see in the cropped screenshot, a search engine titled "Default" keeps getting added by itself, and no matter which search engine is selected, searching anything will result in a Yahoo search page appearing.

I have tried removing the "default" search and also uninstalling Firefox and installing it again. Those didn't do anything.

Firefox crashes upon startup in both 32 and 64 bit versions. Also crashes in Safe Mode. These are clean installs in Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

When trying to access both the Mozilla Website and Plugin in updater via add ons , I get a certificate warning and the page says 404 Not Found when I add an exception.

Firefox will not run in safe mode or at all. It always crashes on startup. Only options are to restart or quit. Removed and installed newest version, also removed the Mozilla folder for a clean install.

I was given a link on Firefox to update to pocket. I did this and now my McAfee Safe Key account is gone with all my saved passwords. I want to go back to my old Firefox with Safe Key . What can i do?

After a very brief power outage while using Firefox, links that I visit no longer change color. I have the Visited addon installed and it was working fine. I have "Remember my browsing and download history" checked. Nothing has changed as a result of the power outage except this. I uninstalled and reinstalled visited, but no joy. Some sites such as this one and Google use the FF default color for visited links, but most sites ignore my settings. Any suggestions?

Was working on my Browser before update, now it has been disabled.

I use it a lot!  What do I do?  The statement it makes is :-    "Cannot verify whether this program can be used of Firefox."
Was working on Version 42,  now not working on Version 43.0.1????

I regulary get the message Mozilla not responding at the top left of my screen when Firefox runs really slow, the message appears just to the right of the menu bar, it happens a lot when I am using BT Yahoo but also at other times too.

How can I cure this Please?

Since upgrading to 43.0.1, there is a small window popping up every time I type in the Search Bar, just like how there used to be several versions ago (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1035637 for the previous issue). I have all search suggestions turned off, and I have browser.search.showOneOffButtons set to False in about:config. How do I make this new drop-down window go away?

1] keep getting script errors trying to shop on Amazon [compatibility with my shopping extensions?] I can stop the script, but once somehow it opened multiple Amazon windows with script error messages and whole computer froze badly. Had to shut down.' 2] Pages like weather Channel, Yahoo Mail were at first blank except the background, now they load but slower than before. 3] with several or more tabs open in private windows, I start playing YouTube videos. They seem to play fine for a good while, Pausing and searching the videos, and then Firefox disappears and crashes. Thanks for any help [ I just downloaded a bunch more extensions to try later, but the vast majority of all my extensions are disabled ]

I want my new tab to open to the page (site) I want. Not a page of icons. First we lost the ability to use "about,com" to do this. Now 43.0.1 has broken the "New Tab Override" extension.

I see I am not the only one that wants this. Please fix.

Mozilla FireFox says the Vancouver Sun website (vancouversun.com) is not secure and will not allow me to sign in. I have toggled the permissions icon to allow but still no help. I now have to use Microsoft Edge to read my paper but I prefer to stay on one site. Overall I really like Mozilla FireFox and the many very good features. Correct this problem and I will donate.
