Updates can't work as Drive C is full and I can't find out how to change default drive?

My drive "C" if full and I don't know what the programs and files are to be able to uninstall unused programs. Those that I was able to uninstall I did sol but what is left, I am not sure what is what. This has affected the security downloads and consequently I am currently without security protection. The version of Firefox I am running currently is 40.0.2 as the update could not work for lack of room. I am at a loss as to how to correct all this and get my computer working correctly/up to date? Is there some way to move programs to other drives? Is this something that I will be able to fix with help or should I take to someone who knows what they are doing?

Why does scroll bar for up and down scrolling disappear?

Can't control up and down scrolling on pages or open window because the scroll bar or bars (located at right side on prior computers) disappears in using my new iMac Yose… (tuilleadh eolais)
