Private browsing
When I press Private icon.the page changes but I do not see the "private icon" on the screen. Why is this and am I actually on a new private tab?

I tried resetting firefox, same problem. Changed my home page, same problem. Download version 34.0.5, no difference. My home page has always opened in a matter of seconds, what's up?
I can.t receive downloads of statements on websites when on mozilla
I am trying to download statements on different websites and it says "application not found" . Do I need to get a program?
Bookmarks are gone, cannot sync.

Had to go back and re-install windows 8.1, in the process Firefox updated, now I have lost all bookmarks. I'm heartbroken and destroyed. Please someone help me get these back. It contains years of research. I tried going to about:support; however when I click on Bookmarkbackups folder, it's giving me a file which I don't know how/what to use to open it.

I used Firefox for years until an update and then the scroll button on my laptop stopped working on Firefox only and I had to use the up and down arrows or the bar at the side and it got very frustrating. I switched to Google Chrome instead but I have recently switched back, having forgotten about the scrolling problem. Basically, the little button that sits between the left and right "mouse" buttons whose sole job is to scroll the page up and down and side to side seems to have no function when Firefox is open, nor can I swipe up and down at the side of the pad to move up and down either. How do I make Firefox respond to it?

regarding to crashes, it rarely crash
but jamming, every time i open my laptop and go straight to firefox to open my facebook, the minute facebook start to show up firefox JAM and stay jammed for at least 2 minutes ... Its really getting to my nerves because sometimes i really need to do something very fast ... but i can't and i have to wait till firefox unjam

why doesn't windows list contain list of windows?

I have Windows 7 64bit as an OS. and running Firefox 34.0.5 Java is Ver. 7 Update 71. If I can't get this resolved, I will have to go back to using Internet Explorer.
Window menu no longer lists my Firefox windows. Just offers minimize or zoom.

After upgrading to Firefox 34.0.5, every time I view a page that requires Flash, the plugin crashes. This includes Youtube videos, Tumblr audio posts, and various news websites that include video. As I was testing different websites to see if I could discover a pattern, I found that flash files hosted on Deviantart were the only things I could get to work. Anyone know how to fix this problem? It's very frustrating having to open a different browser just to watch a video.

Hello, I'm a Mac User and I recently have a technical issue. I can't pinpoint when it started, but I'm going to guess when Firefox updated to the most recent one (34.0.5).
The problem is: Whenever I type and go back in the middle of the sentence to add some words and if it has the letter n or m (or others that I havent tested), it deletes all subsequent words that I wrote. This happened in Facebook and Microsoft Word, to my knowledge so far.
It might not be firefox problem but OsX software issue as it happened outside of Firefox, but if you could help me find the cause, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Every few minutes when I'm on one of the tabs in Firefox, the screen goes completely black for several seconds, then comes back up. This happens too often to just try and ignore it, it's really often.
Also, since I installed Firefox, none of my desktop applications, or the desktop itself, display correctly. They have that "cartoon-y" look that happens when you're in safemode, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. It makes navigating around almost impossible, since you can't see the 'X' boxes to get out of an app, or much of anything else.
Any suggestions?
