Is there a way to keep the look of Firefox 4 while keeping the improvements of Firefox 8?

I'm still running Firefox 4 and I know I need to update to 8 however I'm just not feeling the new look. Is there a way to keep the old look (like tabs on the bottom and the individual menus on top) when updating? Or will I just have to adapt to the new look? Thanks!

Why don't any new features appear when I upgraded from 3.6.15 to 4.0?

I upgraded from 3.6.15 to 4.0, but the appearance of Firefox didn't change at all. There is no Awesome Bar, Firefox Button, or Bookmark Button. The only change was 2 of… (tuilleadh eolais)

Upon downloading & installing Firefox 4, I didn't get the one button Firefox menu button (and I really wanted it). Why not?

Help - when I open Firefox 4 it opens lots of tabs I haven't used recently, not the ones I saved!

Organize bookmarks is missing after upgrade to ver 4.0. Where is it?

Opening a link using "open link in new window" does not work. I can only use "open in new tab" option. Is this normal with the Firefox 4?

Sinced upgrade to 4.0 the hyperlinks on my own website are no longer underlined. They're fine in FF 3 and all other browsers tried.

The underlines appeared correctly in FF3 but since the upgrade to 4.0 they don't so visitors can't see what's clickable. The website still looks fine on my old XP machine… (tuilleadh eolais)

Lost bookmarks after intalling F4

well, here the symptoms

- Installed Firefox 4.......lost my bookmarks Note: I do have a backup on html but its from some time ago then....

- Tried to instal the 3.6 version ... nothing

- Restored the Windows to one before the installation = Nothing

- I look up for information in the forums JSON file, profile and others, but some ones are a bit confusing for me....

- Did the backup option in the bookmarks window but some how the backup its from the point where i had no bookmarks

- Changed the profiles to look for something but didnt work

and then im still here, i did a backup of the 2 profile folders, i do notice that one have a bigger places.sqlite file and that but i do not know what to do very well

AND i havent cleaned my temps and all that in cause i lost something important to restore my bookmarks

Why can't I see the default reload/stop button, at the end of the toolbar, whatever I do?
