When I loaded firefox 3.1 all of my inbox emails from 120508 through 072310 disappeared

Firefox would't install updates since 3.6.4 - another copy running

Firefox wouldn't intstall updates "another copy running on computer". This makes opening Firefox after update almost impossible, because the error notice immediately pop… (tuilleadh eolais)

I need to install Firefox 3.6.7, and when I did that, I saved the file, then nothing came up.

I want to install the lastest version of Firefox - 3.6.7. When I went to download it, a popup came up, saying if I wanted to save the file - I clicked on "Save File". But… (tuilleadh eolais)

Firefox uploader does not run. It starts to run, but just stops. Windows 7 says it is an "incompatible program", but it is not since the previous update works fine.

Bookmarks do not load in tool bar and all their locations have changes to a range of bbc news pages

Tried re-installing firefox but it didn't help the problem.

I think the problem has been caused by the Perfect Optimizer software I've used to clean up my laptop; pretty crap really, haven't noticed any advantages, only further problems!

Is it possible that the software has made changes to the registry and caused firefox to go a bit nutty?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out.
