Maybe settings?

I started getting a different login screen for yahoo and so I was on the lookout for the https:// that would ensure I'm at a real website. I noticed that I don't get any https:// on anything in my FF esr 140. Even if I enter it with the address, it disappears as soon as I click to open the website. I tried out Edge and the https:// is there. Is there some reason this is being removed in FF, as it is something reassuring and doesn't take up much space.

DRM nags are back ! I am very suspicious of this ! Stopping FF DRM nags yields NO search results -- but used to. Zero searchable information in the Mozilla databases. What a search for DRM nags does yield is LOADS of outrage (see attached) against FF. I am getting a VERY, VERY suspicious. Before FF tries to monetize more functions -- FIX THE LEGACY ISSUES !!! One thing after another, all week, month and year. 'Upgrades' of the browser induce panic and fear these days. "What will break next ?". You people need to look at shrinking market share and growing outrage and have a Come-to-Jesus moment ! Pawning off 'support' on volunteers is about as cynical as I have ever seen. No useful answers for weeks to many things I have posted since migrating machines to Win 10/FF 15x.

Never have, never will" – regarding the sale of your personal data to replace it with a less definitive pledge" to "protect your personal information." Would it surprise you to know that a few weeks later, Mozilla announced that AI would be its top priority in 2025? I note that this was listed above privacy." Where the Hell is the AI Plague going to get a broken browser ? Look at those damn search results ! Gazillions of posts by fed-up users and vastly shrinking market share.

i am having pop-up messages that there are viruses on my computer causing security & privacy issues, your timely help required as my work using my computer is lingering on.

I'm using a HTML file as a hypertext that catalogues a hard drive or folder. I want the file names to be clickable--to open the file, but but the file:/// href is blocked. What is the work around. All of this is local

Several days ago a trio of "warnings" all labeled Mozilla Firefox popped up on my monitor. They included "Critical Error! Remove viruses now", "Warning! Virus Detected Clean Your Device" (with the choice of Renew Now {? renew what?} or Update Windows), "Warning! Your system is damaged by virus attack via d9BvqdcBn2sc73dc4btg.korvapod.co.in Remove the virus now", "Trojan Detected! (choose Remove virus now or Quick Scan), and variations on all of the above. I ran a malware scan from another provider and their advice was that this was an attempted hack so under no circumstances should I click on anything. They definitely said it wasn't from Mozilla Firefox. BUT they also couldn't find any traces anywhere in my computer. So for the past 5 days, I've been functioning with a partial screen, maybe 3/5 of full screen, because those darned "warnings" cannot be physically moved off the screen. How can I get rid of this mess? Thanks.

Since the latest Firefox upgrade I get about 30 pop up ads from you scaring me about security. I have run a diagnostic and am confident I do not have any issues. I will soon leave you all together despite the hassle of chaging

The goal is to avoid Google. Copilot advise me to under Security, to uncheck the box "Block dangerous and deceptive content". Is that advisable - should I comply?

I have several pop up ads stating viruses and trojan horses have been found. These are all trojan horses that they want to infect my system with. They are coming from Mozilla Firefox and I have no idea how to delete the pop up ads from my screen and computer. I do know they are false as I have McAfee and Malwarebytes and they both show that I do not have any viruses. I know if I ask them to fix this they will infect my computer. I need to know how to delete them thanks
