Hi, first time writing here so I don't know what to do or expect. I recently received a warning by Firefox that as of March 14, 2025 Firefox will end support for Windows 8 (8.1 and below too) and that the last version compatible with Windows 8 is Firefox 115ESR (up to which? Before in Settings Firefox wanted to update from 115.0.3 to 115.0.3ESR now it says 115.1ESR - is this still ok for Windows 8? Are all 115 versions ok or not? Please help because I'm not a computer person, at all, with far too many gaps). Also, what happens after March 14, 2025? Will I be able to keep using Firefox 115ESR version even if I won't be getting any more updates or not? Also, I have extensions (4 ad blockers+Ghostery+VideoDownload helper) which keep updating and the warning said that extensions may not work properly anymore - so I wonder if you know if these above mentioned will in fact be affected or not, because I don't know whether to update them after March 14, 2025 or not because I'm not sure how to go back to a previous version should they not work. Too, I would like to say that you suggest switching to a newer Windows ver. (10 or above) but not everyone really wants to for one reason or another. Personally I find myself fine with Win 8 so far and don't like Win 10 while Win 11 may be too much for my old computer and I cannot afford to buy another. Also I would not attempt to upgrade to Win 10 without help (considering that others more expert had difficulties making it work or reverting back to Win 8) help that I do not have, at all - that's why I'm here now, and I don't really understand how this works either, so... Anyhow, reading on that warning page that after March 14, 2025 you would reconsider your position regarding support for Win 8.1, 8 and below (and knowing also that Chrome and Edge have ended their support - effectively leaving users stranded or forcing them to upgrade to a Windows version unwillingly) I would like to plead with you NOT to follow their example and help us, your supporters, keep using Firefox (which you say is for the people) - like I said many of us have good reasons for keeping on using Win 8.1 or below, so won't you please, PLEASE help us keep Firefox as our browser so that we too may keep using Internet? I know technology goes forward and staying behind makes all more difficult but not all can afford the same things and since I have found that there are a few of us yet I am asking to PLEASE not abandon us as others have done (leaving us to manage the best we can) but consider our plight (I know it might be a challenge for the engineers and developers but surely you can find a solution at least to allow us to keep using Firefox). I am encountering an issue with the Ultimate Addon Image Gallery when viewed in the Mozilla browser. On the user's first visit to the page, the image gallery fails to load promptly, often taking a long time to display. During this delay, a black screen appears instead of the intended images, and the images do not retain their original sizes.

I need to see my extensions in the browser bar!!!! Why did you remove this feature. Super annoying. If I click where the extensions should be I get taken to (see screenshot) other screenshot are my extensions that I have to go into Firefox/settings/Manage Firefox themes in Extensions & Themes. It does absolutely no good if I cant access my extensions such as Video Downloader

I have windows 10 at moment, but I know I will have to update to winows 11 soon, but I am worried n case I cannot get my Mozilla back again,.

Do I start all over again, or when I update will my laptop still recognise my Mozilla account.

To be honest, I cannot remember my Mozilla password...eeek !! thanfully, my Mozilla did.

I only want Mozilla, I do not use anythng else.

I use Firefox Developer, on many sites, for no apparent reason, the error "Error establishing a secure connection" started popping up (error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR. Even on YouTube, where everything was ok before, it's all crap now. HELP PLEASE

Reloading existing tabs or entering full URLs works. Toggling "Work Offline" on and off does not fix the problem and the only workaround is restarting Firefox.

This is triggered by laptop doing sleep/wake transitions so I strongly suspect this is related to Firefox online/offline detection.

Dear folks , Every time I click on Firefox for web search , Fragilepottery.com comes up , I simply cannot find a way to delete Fragilepottery , should I uninstall Firefox and install Firefox again ?

When we are getting dates and time in history like Chrome? Random months and in those months, no days, no dates makes Firefox outdated.

Is Firefox not growing or everything needs to be highlighted? I have never highlighted anything to chrome yet it has done things that are worth it.

I often receive a 403 error when using Firefox Every time, before this happens, I get the unsafe website warning and then the 403 error when I continue anyway

I am using the latest version at the time of writing These errors only occur on my desktop PC I have tried to replicate this issue on both my phone (Android) and another laptop(Windows 11) but all the websites work normally on there.

I have tried the following, none of which have any effect:

• Clearing cookies
• using Troubleshoot mode
• Restarting
• Changing Useragent
• Using "Forget about this site"

The following do fix the issue

• Using a VPN
• Using Google Chrome
• Running Firefox in another profile

Going through the privacy and security tab and reseting all the settings sometimes works but only temporarily

Last night, I installed Firefox on my PC; after that, I installed the extensions I needed and logged in to YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp & other places too. Then I exited the browser, SHUT DOWN my computer, & went to sleep. Today, in the morning, when I turn my pc on & open firefox, it shows all extensions & website logins are gone, like I never logged in.

I may have found the reason for this problem; I use an Microsoft Build app called "PC MANAGER.". In the app, I click on deep clean, select everything, & it does remove all the saved logins and extensions logins from Firefox. But in Google Chrome, it doesn't remove anything. To be noted that, when I use the deep clean feature, it also cleans Chrome, the same as Firefox, yet the problems facing Firefox cannot be seen in Chrome.

I want to install latest version of Firefox due to come into effect on 14th January but my Mac OS X won't allow it to happen probably because it is out of date and unsupported I would be grateul for help on this please ( I have reached the limit of OS X on my current desktop) Charles

I have looked on the web and continue to find all sorts of references on how to configure your browser to open the tabs I had open last time I closed the browser. I have the "Open previous windows and tabs" checked in the General settings....and it doesn't work! How is that? Any special thing I need to do to get it to work?

Why most extensions (addons) are not updated for last 2 years that are under "Recommended extensions"?

I checked many, not all, are updated since 2022 and 2023. Chrome updates them and allows them to be usable with newer versions of Chrome and other browsers that support Chrome extensions.

And same addons on Chrome extension store are updated but not on Firefox addon store.

Is Firefox not focusing on security and updates anymore?

hello, i am unable to open tradingview.com website in the browser. i have also installed desktop app but when i open the app it asks for authentication. i cannot find any solution on the internet even in the you tube. After last update Firefox will not open my Weebly website editor.

It keeps telling me that Firefox will not allow the page to be displayed if another site has embedded it. It advises me to open the link in a new window.

This does not work - I get the same error message. I need to be able to edit my website! Can anyone help, please?

i'm on windows. Suddenly, PDF files that I open have black pages. I checked that the default setting is to open pdf files in Firefox, as always. refreshing doesnt work. Any ideas what is wrong?
