Instead of syncing my current settings, sync just overwrote them with an old, outdated copy from another device, completely ruining my addons, bookmarks and various other settings. I managed to restore the bookmarks, but is there really no proper way to undo this or prevent such thing from happening in the first place? Is there no way to control if I want to sync my setting TO the server or FROM the server? How such a vital decision is even made then and why wouldn't there be a way for a user to control that? This is so disappointing :(

Hello, when I first switched from google chrome to Firefox I could not figure out how to create one browser with two profiles like I had with chrome. So I went to about:profiles and created two separate browsers not realizing you all had an option to create two profiles under one browser. I finally figured out how to have to profiles under one browser by going here https://www.tech2geek.net/how-to-use-the-new-updated-profile-manager-in-firefox-2025/#google_vignette but I can not figure out how to sync the google chrome profile that I had previously to this new profile under the same browser. How do I sync this? I hit sync and nothing changed. I am signed in and I can not figure out how to get the browser profile to sync with this new profile under one browser. I really hate how Firefox named both of these Profiles because it is extremely hard to explain this situation.

It's seems my acount lost everything after i reset the password , now i don't have my booksmarks anymore and i don't have all my saved password it apper as new acount

I logged out of my Firefox account, then reformatted my PC.

After reinstalling Windows 11, I installed Firefox on the PC computer.

When I signed in to Firefox, I expected to see my saved tabs just like I had seen them before. There is no sign of any of my previous tabs.

All my previous Shortcuts and Bookmarks are all fine.

How do I restore the previous tabs?

Firefox won't sync anything since a while back, maybe since two months back, I am unable to force sync. Clearing cashe, uninstalling the app, relogging both phone and pc, neither of these syncs bookmarks across the devices. I am able to send tabs in-between the devices. Biggest issue is I can't save bookmarks on one device and expect them to be available on my other device Nokia 7.2

As in subject ... None of my bookmarks (for instance) in my previous browser on an other computer will show up. I have tried to manually sync but nothing happens ...

after reinstalling the OS, Firefox stopped synchronizing most of the data. Bookmarks were not transferred, and passwords and extensions were transferred less than half

non my my bookmarks and passwords are on my firefox and i reformatted my pc, i have never had a issue like this ever, and yes im signed into the same email i have always used and didnt do anything different

I have multiple devices all using Firefox with the same account. On one of the devices I swapped the motherboard and since all payment methods in firefox disappeared. Syncing is active across all devices. On all other devices the payment methods are still available.

On the device with the new motherboard, I tried to disable payment methods sync and re-enable it but the payment methods list is still empty. How can I restore all the payment methods on this device? Why they are not syncing?

I have switched from chrome to firefox on my windows 11 laptop. I want to do the same on my pc but after signing into the Mozilla account, the bookmarks do not come in. History, and other things seem to work fine. I tried manually synchronizing in the settings over and over again but nothing works.

I have no idea what to do other than going back to chrome where things just worked and I didn't have to spend hours looking at forums for solutions that do not work...

I use firefox on 3 devices, ios, windows, and mac. I want extensions to sync across windows and mac (I know ios doesn't do that). When I first got firefox on my mac, all my windows addons synced over when I signed in but now addons that I add on my windows does not go over to my mac no matter what. I already turned addon sync on and off several times on both devices and manually hit sync multiple times on both devices as well. help?

I think I did everything on the old computer, and created a recovery key. on the new computer I signed in but, the only email confirmation I received was for the old computer. Signing in from the new windows 11 computer led to being signed with windows 10 as shown under my account.

I rarely used the Mozilla.org site. Use Firefox for about the last 20yrs, love you guys. Logged onto my Win10 laptop, 22Aug2025, about 7pm GMT+1, clicked on Firefox icon, got a little update window, it flashed, disappeared, did not seem to fully update, the screen came on for about 5sec, a flash. Then error messages each time I tried to go onto Firefox. First time this ever happened. When I reinstall I had to spend hours trying to get SYNC to retrieve my passwords, and bookmarks. Also a first, never had this problem previously. Now my history is gone as well as all the sites saved to my Firefox Home Page. What is going on? Also, these messages, I cannot find them in my ACCT. They just do not show up. If anyone answered me, I cannot find the replies. Were you hacked?

TLDR I changed the main drive, a full clean installiation. And when I sign in in the browser it doesnt sync anything. Back when I had to change the former main drive the sync function worked perfectly. So I dont know why is just not works anymore.
