Hello Mozilla Firefox Team,

I would like to request that Firefox include the Somali language for website translation.

I choose Firefox because I have been told it is more secure, but currently, it does not support Somali. This makes it difficult for me to read news and websites in my native language.

Adding Somali support would provide a better user experience for Somali speakers and improve access to online information. It would also encourage me and others to continue using Firefox as our preferred browser.

Is there a way to save the settings in the widget (see image)? It's very annoying that you have to constantly select it again, especially if you are on a long script. I put it on: Translate from Italian to English, and then it does remember for maybe one or two times, and then it falls back to English to Dutch. The tool itself is useful, but very annoying that it doesn't remember the settings. If it is somehow possible, please let me know how, cause I can't find it anywhere, or I just don't know how to do it. If it isn't possible, maybe it's an idea to add it to the widget?

Firefox’s built-in translation feature actively gets in the user’s way.

When translation is actually needed, it often does not offer the translation function at all.

Google sometimes links to Reddit pages that have been automatically translated into Korean by AI.

That specific page appears in Korean, but when you go back to the Reddit homepage, it appears in English.

However, Firefox’s built-in translator still recognizes the site as a Korean website.

Even though all the page content is in English, the translator incorrectly offers the option “Korean → English” instead of the correct direction.

There needs to be a shortcut or option that always translates “English → Korean” when the user wants it.

Firefox should not decide when to translate or which language to translate. That choice should belong to the user.

Additionally, a dedicated keyboard shortcut for translation is needed.

I used the built-in translator for a while, but the inconvenience became so significant that I gave up and reinstalled a translation add-on.

Is this the right place to post this suggestion?

translate wont work , i have 2 pc win 10 pro , same IP in china , on 1 pc is workking , but on the other one it wont , i did new install , refresh , disabled add-ons exc , my language set to english and i need to translate chinese intoo english please help thanks

I would really love Armenian language support for Firefox, including web page translation.

Hello, I really love the translate functionality. In some pages I see very specific terms which are very specific, can I modify the local dictionary after I download it, add the terms somehow and then share it with my peers using the same website?

The offline package download speed is too slow and sometimes fails. I hope it can be provided separately, like interface language packs, just as Debian has separate interface language packs.

Hello.

Everytime i search something online (e.g. in reddit) firefox translates the post in german. Even though i have translate english cleary turned off.

Do i need to change my browser or am i missing something?

During choosing online Translate Language Beta Version An option then from language mostly langauges available but from English to PUNJABI that is no longer made available online, offline or to say translate page/webpage not available in bilingual version from any language to Punjabi or usually to say from english to online, offline punjabi version not there even in firefox setting checked all options but still not found there anymore.!?

I do not live in Estonia, I don't know estonian, I don't have estonian set as a language anywhere in firefox or any other settings, I don't have any estonian language packs downloaded, the only time I was involved with it was when I accidentally clicked on 'estonian' instead of 'english' when trying to translate a page (once, I clicked on it accidentally once as far as I remember, one single time and no more. Only one time this happened. Once), and it somehow just can not cease asking me to translate pages to estonian, anything that isn't in english, somehow it tolerates that. Actually how does this happen and how do I fix it
