Firefox for MacOS will not accept my new Primary Password - the exact same password that Firefox on my iPhone & iPad did accept! Firefox for MacOS keeps telling me the password is incorrect. I am using MacOS Ventura 13.5.2 & Firefox 117.0.1 (64-bit).

I have just started using Firefox and ticked that every internet tab is Firefox but every time I click new tab, it states "search with google or enter address" I cannot get into about:config to then get to browser.newtabpage.pinned How do I get rid of this Google message?

When Firefox is launched to maximized, the Windows Taskbar does not display when the Taskbar is set to Hide. Firefox takes over the entire screen. When I use two monitors and Firefox is on the second monitor it the toolbar is visible.

How can I stop this from occurring?

NEED MULTIPLE ASSISTANCE. BACKGROUND My PC crashed due to not leaving enough memory, by mistake while trying to reformat my external hardrive which a friend neglected to explain or some other factor

I put a SSD hardrive within the PC along with RAM upgrade originally, successfully installing WIndows on the new drive with no issues running windows. However, the SSD is only large enough to run windows and a few other core programs, therefore all other memory mostly must run on the exrernal drive.

Despite the the format, can the external drive be used in a windows format instead of explorer. That was my friends indication. This exrenal drive has been used soley with windows explorer to navigate (I don not know if this is typical as the only navigation means? just wondering if thats normal...your programers. MAIN ISSUE

I use mozilla firefox and have using Mozilla VPN fairly constintantly for some time. I also use Relay for months aslo (I bielive has small charge now being offred to combine the two?)

I may also be paying for another program via Mozilla/firefox but it simply could have been included. STICKING POINT

As a long time user of these companies, I just want to make sure I am not be charged for both MOZILLA VPN as well as RELAY, seperatly or any other programs on my account charged at what is now a discounted. (Also I wanted to make you aware i was recently a victum of scamming and net stalking by an old associate who goes by on FACEBOOK as TINA GRACE or FREEBORN roughly 45 female. I do have an open investigation with her and a codefendent with organizations that handle cyber crimes. As some of my emails have been compromised, since changed, please share any unusual activities especially any new financial purposes listed beyond what I want to be able to use again after paying several months without access. VPN in Particular.

When I start FF I get a Windows popup requiring an admin username and pw to run Firefox Updater. I'm in a corporate environment and users don't have admin rights (which is standard for any company doing reasonable security). I checked the properties on firefox.exe and updater.exe and neither requires admin or is set to run in compatibility mode. Chrome and Edge update without an admin requirement.

When logged in to the Shopify Website (admin page) using Firefox browser, attempt to click any link on the page automatically makes the page disappear and re-loops to my Login Page. I've worked with Shopify's Tech team and their investigation suggested...1st-remove cookies and cache on Firefox (did not work), 2nd-they tested their site and came back with no problems, everything works, 3rd-Try using Google Chrome browser to see if I would experience same problem of re-looping to my Login Page, everything works...no-re-looping to my Login Page and every link on the page works. On Shopify's Tech team recommendation as well as my desire to remain with Firefox browser, I need to get this problem of "page disappearing/re-looping to Login Page" on Shopify website fixed. When i input my email address into contact forms or payment forms, I always get a pop up box saying 'enter email address' even though I have entered the same email adress I have uysed for the last 20 years !

Keep getting this on a number of websites. Most of them I have used for years. Can't give the websites as there are too many but some are pitchsidemanager.com, hattrick.org, skysports.com and sportinglife.com . Just four of at least 14 give the Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site message. I use No Proxy and have my anti-virus turned off when I get the message. I have tried various other proxy settings but the same thing happens. The thing is that I have to keep refreshing the page until it does actually connect and that can take a good few minutes. Sometimes I have to restart the browser. Why is this happening since the last few updates?

On OS X you can define custom text replacements, which I use frequently to save myself typing similar things over and over (my address, email addresses, and some shorthand I'm used to from IRC).

It works fine in another window but not in any firefox windows.

I have run into an annoyance where I am trying to click on a link in my email to open a new page. Clicking on the link makes a bar show up telling me that Firefox has prevented a popup from being opened (see attached image). I am given the option of managing my preferences / Firefox settings, where I can either go through multiple steps to permanently allow all pop-ups from that website until I restore my original settings, or uncheck a box to permanently allow all pop-ups from all sites until I check that box again. This is annoying because I have no interest in either allowing or disallowing all pop-ups from all websites, or all pop-ups from this specific website, every time I want to open a single pop-up from a specific site. I would rather that the warning bar which tells me that Firefox has blocked a pop-up also display a button allowing me to allow ONLY THIS SPECIFIC POP-UP IN THIS SPECIFIC CASE.

Is this a setting that exists in Firefox? Alternatively, is there a version of Firefox which does have a setting which would allow this? Or is this simply not a functionality that exists for this browser?

I'm working on a translation management software called Plunet.

There are text boxes within Plunet where the spell checker does work, and others in which the spell checker is not even an option. It doesn't recognize misspelled words by underlining them in red, and when I right-click on words, the only option available is "Link". (See screenshot.) Any ideas?

is it possible to remove pocket from my firefox completely i dont want to see it ever but it keeps popping up now and then i dont use , dont want it and sick of seening it pop up on my screen now and then ? i dont want to hide it ... i want it gone never to see it again that all,

Recently FireFox has stopped saving changes to my saved logins/passwords. I am using a master password. When I exit FF (I have it set to resume with the same windows and tabs open) and then restart, all the saved passwords have reverted to some time in the past where they remain frozen. If I try to login to a website, FF will ask for my master password, then fill in the OLD password. I can update it (replace the auto-filled string with the correct one) -- for example, login to a site using the correct (NEW) password, and then choose "UPDATE" in the pop-up -- and those will persist until I exit. But after exiting and restarting, all the passwords have reverted to the old values. This also applies to adding and removing saved passwords, or editing them manually in the "about:logins" page. For example, I keep deleting the password for a no-longer-in-use account and it disappears until I restart Firefox, then it comes back.

This makes me think that something has changed the ownership or permissions on the file where these encrypted passwords are saved locally and so Firefox silently skips the step to write them out on exit (or update them incrementally as I change them). I do not use a FF/Mozilla account to save them in the cloud, I just keep them on the local machine, which is Mac OS X Big Sur (11.6.8).

I did find somewhere online (on mozilla.org, I *think*) that the file is "logins.json" at the top level of my active profile. But that file has not been modified since 01/15/2023 (over 8 months ago), and removing it does not seem to have had an impact on the problem, so I am guessing that wherever I found that info (that logins.json is where they are stored) was probably some out-of-date post from a past version of Firefox.

I am hoping someone can tell me which file is not being updated so I can inspect its ownership/permissions and then either fix it or delete the file. I am guessing that I can export the list to a csv file, exit Firefox, delete the storage file, then restart Firefox and import the saved csv file in order to fix it -- but I need to know which file it is.

Or, can someone tell me where to look for an error log that might contain an explanation of something going wrong while trying to update my profile on exit? NOTE: the rest of the profile seems to be OK, my windows and tabs are restored correctly on restart, they are NOT frozen in time.

I'm trying to change some of my old passwords and I want to use the 'generate password' feature in Firefox. However, this is only available on sign up pages and NOT within the about:logins page within Firefox. Is there a way where I could generate passwords from within the about:logins page? Or at least anywhere in Firefox that doesn't involve finding a sign up page to generate a password?

On my work laptop, I disabled "Recommended by Pocket" to avoid distractions.

On my personal laptop, that setting is already enabled. But I never see any stories recommended by pocket when I open a new tab. What can I do about this?

I use 50+ Add-Ons on Firefox. I would like see all the Add-Ons I gave permission to work in Private Mode, all in one page. Is there a Settings page that shows all Add-On permissions to shown in one place?

So far I've been clicking on each Add-On, one by one. It becomes very tedious to manage them when you have no other choice.

The display shows some icons on the last tabs I opened but it seems only some basic website layout is loaded but all the details are gone. Like text, button borders, even the exit, fullscreen and minimize buttons. I have seen that this has been an issue for quite some time before so I am looking if there is a fix or a workaround. I have and Nvidia graphics card and drivers if that means anything. And my swap file is 20 GB and my RAM is 16 so the space shouldn't be a problem. It gets fixed when I turn off Firefox but not when I refresh tabs.

The crazy thing is that when I take a screenshot inside firefox (with firefox integrated screenshot option, like when I press right click and then take screenshot. I can see the text so it seems like it is a display problem but this only happens with firefox and not other apps.

Appreciate all the help. I will ask of ubuntu formums next if I don't find a solution here.

For over a year some webpages show up blank in my Firefox browser. They all work fine in Inkognito/private windows.

I have tried emptying cache etc. Running Ventura 13.6.

One page recently stopped working and show: Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).

www.pinterest.com is completely white.

Facebook.com shows up fine but does not work properly.

Any instructions on exactly what to do?
