My session crashed and got a message to say that Firefox had been updated...now on 158. However, none of my (many) tabs and pinned tabs opened. - 'Restore previous session' is greyed out - Session restore in Settings is configured that Firefox is my default browser, and 'Open previous tabs and windows' box is ticked. The last time Firefox updated, I spent hours going through History to find tabs and since some were older than 6 months, took me hours! Is this my only option...again! If it is, I may have to switch to a different browser. Thanks.

How do I recover the normal additional toolbar in firefox that shows options for maps, images, videos etc. This toolbar is no longer shown on firefox - perhaps it's because firefox has recently been updated and no longer gives that facility?

I have deselected Save and autofill usernames and passwords in Settings-> Passwords and Autofill, but FF continues to offer saved pswd POPUP on a login page. I use Proton Pass extension and FF is writing over it, making it unusable.

All videos on any site will load properly however they will not play. Can skip around and see frame by frame but the video will not play

I am back again with the same issue that I presented on the forum post three months ago. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1594903?utm_campaign=questions-reply The difference is now it is happening on Firefox v157.0.1;everything else is identical. Qubes os R4.3.2 with Firefox 157.0.1 in a Fedora 44 xfce VM. To recap I open one window for Proxmox Datacenter Manager and as soon as I click to sign in Firefox completely disappears. I can open this in Chromium browser and Firefox ESR v.140.17.0 esr perfectly fine. Please consult the original post for all I did to troubleshoot this. I am working with the esr version now but would like to help put this issue to bed. Community members stepped up last time to help me so I am here to do my small part for others. Updated Firefox browser for desktop on Mac to 158.0 on 10/15/26

On 10/14/26 using previous Firefox version 157.0 on Amazon.com Prime Video section, pages would load properly and videos could be played properly.

10/15/26 using updated version on Amazon.com Prime Video section, page would initially load properly only to later freeze. Videos could not be played. And freezing could not be corrected unless closing the tab on the browser.

10/15/26 using Safari browser on Amazon.com Prime video section, pages loaded properly and videos played properly.

Clearing cache and site data on updated version of Firefox did not have any effect. Pages continued to freeze and videos unplayable when starting over and navigating to the relevant pages.

Steps to reproduce:

go to amazon.com login to account go to prime video page

expected results video selection appears and user can select and play videos

actual result video selection appear but freezes after a second or two,. videos cannot be played

Repro rate 5/5

Environment Variables Firefox 158.0 Mac OS GoldenGate 27.0.1

Other information Other amazon pages like whole foods and home page and Subscribe & save not affected Just Prime Video page affected

What the living hell is this? This is prevalent on every PC I've installed FF. Just starting a clean browser with a single tab use 19GB of RAM within 1 second... No wonder why browsing been excruciatingly slow since the previous update.

Yes, I use add-ons like 90% of the users, but that should not warrant a serious and consistent memory leak.

I use Firefox on Windows to manage Meta Business Suite for my business, Goff Housing Solutions. Facebook, Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager all open normally in Firefox.

The problem occurs when I open the protected Meta Business Portfolio Settings. Meta requires my existing passkey for accounts.meta.com. After I click Continue, Firefox invokes Windows Security, but the only authentication method presented is:

“Security key — Insert your security key into the USB port.”

I have never owned or configured a physical USB security key.

I confirmed that the correct accounts.meta.com passkeys are stored in Apple Passwords on my iPhone. The iPhone can access Meta Business Suite and the protected Business Portfolio Settings normally.

As a control test, I opened the same Meta/Facebook account and the same Goff Housing Solutions Business Portfolio on this same Windows computer using Google Chrome. Chrome opens the protected Business Portfolio Settings successfully.

Therefore, my Meta account, Business Portfolio, permissions, 2FA and existing passkey appear to be working. The problem seems specific to Firefox/Windows passkey handling: Firefox/Windows is treating the authentication request as requiring a physical USB security key rather than offering the existing passkey on my nearby iPhone (for example via QR code/phone authentication).

How can I make Firefox on Windows use my existing accounts.meta.com passkey from my iPhone instead of requesting a physical USB security key?

I do not want to delete/recreate my Meta passkeys, disable 2FA, reset my Meta account, or create a new Business Portfolio because all of those are currently working.

My laptop recently broke down and I'm wondering how to recover my bookmarks, passwords, etc. on the new one I plan on getting. I have a mozilla account and I tried logging in on my phone but I cannot see anything from the old device, even though it is the same account. Does it mean it will be the same on the new laptop? Would really love to get everything restored. Hope someone can help.

Any time I enter private mode and do a basic search it pops up saying my activity is suspicious and I have to do a captcha. This only happens on Firefox on Windows, and only in private mode. Android is fine and doesn't do this. Firefox is up to date, no VPN, privacy is on standard. It still happens when extensions are disabled. I saw an older post on here from a few months ago saying this was fixed in an update, but it's back.

Apparently I am not capable of dealing with all of the security elements of Firefox and LibreWolf. I primarily use Linux Mint, but have a Windows PC, Apple iPhone and Apple iPad. the whole two-step process and passwords have gotten to be to much to deal with. I do not have an authenticator app and do not want to have one. I am frustrated to no end!!!

How do I completely remove Firefox and LibreWolf and completely start over fresh?

As much as I hate ads on YouTube I don't want Firefox to block the ads because if they find out you are blocking ads they will block you from Google and YouTube. I have Google pages and other things on their sites that have been there for years. Plus, I feel like I'm stealing a service by not lets the ads run that pays their bills and the content creators on YouTube. Please tell me where in Firefox I can turn the ads back on.

I have used Mozilla products since Netscape Navigator came out in 1995 I think it was. I went to a local internet provider and brought home a 3.5in Diskette and it loaded Netscape Navigator with my info all filled in for email, Usenet, Webpage publishing and a few Bookmarks to get started. I still use SeaMonkey for my email because it still has email addresses from the 1990's. I have Thunderbird for email on my phone. Anyway, thank you for all your work over the years. Hi, I recently got the VPN feature on my (Android) mobile browser. But I've never gotten it on my desktop, even though I live in one of the first areas to get it. Is there a way to use the VPN on my mobile for the desktop? Thanks!
