Sirs,

I have Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon in Swedish language/locale. I set up two users with Firefox 146. Then, I upgraded Firefox to 147.0, and set up a third user on the same machine.

For the two original users, the Firefox is in all-Swedish locale. Perfect. But, for my newly created user, some is in English. Examples in English; Onboarding, Search in Privacy, and New Tab/Shortcuts. Web pages is no problem. The problem is in Firefox proper.

Strangely, New Tab is in Swedish (Ny flik), if I do not use the shortcuts, i.e. chose Empty new page in Settings. How to fix? Minor annoyance, but I would like everything in Swedish, as in v. 146. Is it a bug that will be fixed by Mozilla, or do I have to do anything to fix it myself, or is it un-fixable? Or, is it maybe anything in Linux? I understand it is some changes between 146 and 147 regarding a couple of rather important things. Thanks. >>> System:

I just started getting a message saying Facebook was breached back in 2023. Never got any message prior to this week. Situation is: I moved to a new city and can no longer see ANY of my passwords saved on Firefox. It's basically saying I have to change them ALL! Even if I tried, it's required to know the previous password to change the password on many, if not ALL the account passwords. The message says I was breached, but I wasn't. FIX IT PLEASE!!!

Hello... I'm just a novice user so I am not really sure here. This is my problem, I tried to view my gmail account and I got the pic in post. I have discovered Major problem with Firefox which affects the use of my btinternet.com email account . Since the recent update I am no longer able to add the contact name to a new email which I wish to compose automatically from my contacts (I am required to type it in full. I can still do it, with the shortcut of typing in the first 3 letters, when using other browsers such as Google or Edge or the Outlook muti mail account service but generally prefer Firefox. If this situation prevails I will ditch Firefox as speed of communication and addressing is of the essence to me. Are Firefox aware and are they correcting things?

Could any settings have been altered by the update - which contribute to my problem?

"Magically" started working again for unknown reasons.

Up until this morning I could enter calculations in the search bar or the address bar and get an answer without hitting "Enter". Why has this stopped working?

FF 146.0.1 LM 21.3, Bitwarden, Ublock Origin and Dark Reader extensions active.

Edit: browser.urlbar.suggest.calculator is set to TRUE.

I find a website I like, I add to bookmarks, chose a location, add some tags and save.

Next I look for bookmark to verify it saved and it is not in folder it was saved into.

I open Bookmarks and search for this newly created bookmark and it is not in the correct location, it is in another folder, or past the folder in a tree that is not seen under the drop-down up under address bar, only through searching via Bookmarks. After I searched and I had found it, I chose open in folder, saw its position and dragged it to the folder and position I wanted it to be, then close the search, use the drop down folders in bookmark bar and not there. ??

Go back to Bookmark search, find it and it is shown to be where I last dragged it, but it is not there unless I search for it.

So not sure what is going on with bookmarks, but after saving they are not saved where I directed them to save and I am losing my bookmarks to some void in my bookmark manager.

I rebooted my laptop to find that Firefox removed all of my data. I looked up for ways to fix this and then arrived at the conclusion that I could create a profile and set the folder to one of the profiles that weren't listed on Firefox. It seemed to save my history correctly and my saved downloads, but they all said that they were moved or missing. I checked the passwords and instead of the long list of passwords that I normally have, there were only a couple, and the passwords were also sometimes outdated. I cannot recover some of these passwords. I've tried checking the passwords in the other profiles that were listed in the profiles and nothing shows up. None of the cookies were saved either

In `about:config` I set `mousewheel.with_control.action: 3` quite a while ago, and today, after an update it stopped working. Current version: `146.0.1 (aarch64)`. Any idea why?

When using BT Mail i am unable to input email address from drop down box which appears when typing intial first letters.

I can do this when using Edge.

I have updated my browser to latest version. Have also contacted Bt and have been advised that the issue is your browser. My wife has a chromebook and has no issue with the above problem.

Please advise.

I use FF 146.0.1 64-bit on MacOs Sonoma.

I experience this weird FF behaviour. I usually keep FF open all the time. After a while, days, maybe weeks, some UI elements start flashing when I hover the mouse above them. As an example, I use the whatsapp web UI. When this happens, I cannot click anymore on the emoji icon (on the right side of the message) to add an emoji icon to a message because that icon is flashing like crazy when I hover the mouse above it, and when I click the mouse I cannot hit it. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it. What I usually do is I restart the browser and then it gets its brains back.

I am just curious if any of you experienced this. It starts to become annoying.

Firefox 146.0.1 (aarch64) macOS 26.2 (25C56) on M2 Pro

Hello.

I'm dealing with a strange issue that began with Firefox 146.0 and continues with 146.0.1. I previously blocked categories I do not care about such as Parenting, Cooking, and others. When doing so, for some reason some of my followed topics including Sports, NFL and NHL no longer appear along with the rest of the topics I've followed. (Please notice only followed sports-related topics disappeared...)

Checking the settings for Firefox Home shows no blocked topics (even those I have explicitly blocked), and checking what I can think to think via about:config shows me nothing I can edit to get my desired topics back.

So, I'm not sure what to edit to get my missing topics back. If they were blocked because of some bug, i cannot see blocked topics in the Firefox Home settings, so I cannot unblock them if that's what would need to be done. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to resolve it or are you aware of some BugZilla or GitHub issue I can watch for this one?

Any help will be certainly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

W11 Main screen, I have all 4 rows turned on.

This happened some time ago and then stopped doing it, I don't know why.

All of a sudden Firefox is back to filling open (and unused) shortcut positions, with old links pulled from the history file. This is clutter. It just started happening. I can manually clear the old links with a millions delete clicks and the empty shortcut position remain free for that session. when I get out of the main screen and return, the unused positions have refilled with old links from history again.

How to I stop this?

I can't get my original profile 1 to show the original background color. This suggests I don't really have my original profile, I do prefer a white background rather than the iky red/maroon color.

I'm trying to fill out a magazine subscription form that uses reCAPTCHA but the reCAPTCHA does not show in the form using Firefox but does in Chrome. I've seen similar issues and tried to solve it by clearing the catch and disabling extensions but nothing helps.

Just downloaded "Hide Google AI Overviews" which is grayed out. in addition, Browsing Safety by Safety is asking for permissions. My question is simple, do I allow the Browsing Safety Etc. permissions and that will allow the Hide Google Etc to run. In addition do I compromise my security by giving Google those permissions?

i HAVE SET FIREFOX AS MY DEFAULT BROWSER, BUT WHEN I TRY TO OPEN IT MICROSOFT BING POPS UP. THIS INFURIATES ME AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO STOP IT. IN THE CONTROL PANEL IT WILL ALSO NOT ALLOW ME TO REMOVE MICROSOFT EDGE.

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.
