Dear Community,

Since more than a month, when firefox was updated, all my bookmarks seem to be gone,which includes a lot of valuable research made over the past few years.

I have tried all suggestions that google give me to restore my bookmarks, but as far as I understand, there are no newer ones since 2019 (nor older ones than 2018) on my computer? That's what I find in a folder called 'bookmarkbackups' with json-files. Separately I also searched for 'json' and '.jsonlz4' and found nothing after 2019. Also I searched for .html, but nothing seemed to contain bookmark directly.

When I go to manage bookmarks > 'import/export' icon in the upper bar, it suggests two options, for 'nov 13 2025', or today's date), of which none provide me with any bookmarks.

Can I somehow still recover my research?

Do I really need to backup manually?

Or need I start saving all URLs in a word-document for my new research project?...

Firefox seems to update regularly, I currently have version 145.01. (I work on a Mac 2021, with Ventura 13.7.8)

I highly appreciate any advice on this matter.

I have lots of bookmarks saved and when I start typing the name of one I'd like it to appear first not after a lot of suggestions that I may or may not find useful.

Why is this not a simple option?

When I play a downloaded video that is in English, my downloaded file plays back in a foreign language, not English. What am I doing to cause this and how can I have the English version only in playback everytime? Thank you so much, being a pensioner I am eager awaiting the ability to donate to you excellent work as often as I like.

When I turn on my Mac and click the Firefox browser icon, it will not load. It hangs. I get a "not responding" message and have to "force quit," again and again until FINALLY it loads, after five or more failed attempts. This does not happen with Firefox on my laptop, only my Mac. Both Firefox and my Mac are up to date. Why is this happening? Please help. It happens every day when I try to load the browser. I am about to give up and move to Safari. Relatedly, anyone know if it's possible to export all my bookmarks from Firefox to Safari?

I have a new computer and I want to sync my Firefox account but the Sign In button next to Sync and save data options are missing from the browsers in both devices.

How do I fix this issue?

Hi! Was just wondering if there was something preventing me from opening these kinds of pop-ups. Recently, I've been browsing old websites and noticed that links that are supposed to be pop-ups don't pop-up at all. Then, I tried to do the same on my website, and it still didn't work. I've pretty much done every solution I could find under the Sun, but none so far have worked whatsoever. Is this a new feature or is Firefox just being weird again?

Please help ;_; it's been stressing me out real bad for the past few hours!

Recently google's advanced search page changed from how it's been displayed for years -- seemingly only on firefox. And I hate the change. It still displays as always on DuckDuckGo and Safari. Firefox is my preferred browser, but I use goodle advanced search myriad times every day and this is changed version is such a PITA that it's approaching being a dealbreaker for me. Sure, I'd like to know wth happened and why, but really I just want google advanced search to return to my preferred display. (It does not just look different, it performs differently, in little ways that matter a lot to me over the multiple times I use it. Be glad to elucidate if it matters.) First attached image is what I'm now getting on ff. Second attached image is what I used to get on ff, and still get on DDG and Safari, and would like back on ff. Please help.

I am using Firefox on my MacOS Tahoe. There is a persistent annoying issue where whenever I close (physically fold) my laptop screen and reopen it, Firefox will be frozen. It will be frozen in the sense that I am unable to interact with any tabs or anything until I manually quit Firefox and reopen it (which automatically reopens all my tabs), making it usable again. This doesn't happen every time I close and reopen my Mac, but it definitely happens the majority of the time and makes the browser hard to use.

I've attached a screenshot of what a new window looks like when Firefox is frozen. It looks just like a Firefox window when unfocused.

Notes:

• It doesn't entirely freeze Firefox. In fact, I can "switch" to a different tab by clicking on the tab and then shutting and reopening my laptop again. The new tab will show on reopening but Firefox will still be frozen. This process can be repeated.
• I can pretty consistently replicate the bug by shutting my laptop, waiting 10 seconds, and reopening it. This will almost always result in the freeze.
• The bug still happens if I'm not focused on the Firefox window but on a different app.
• The bug doesn't seem to happen if I just lock my screen but don't shut it closed.

Things I've tried that haven't fixed it:

• Updating my OS.
• Restarting my laptop.
• Disabling hardware acceleration.
• Disabling themes and extensions.
• Deleting and reinstalling Firefox, including deleting the user data in the "Library/Application Support" folder.

Let me know if there's any more information I can provide or fixes I can try. Also let me know if I should go ahead and file a Firefox bug report for this. Thank you.

I am in a situation where I am a student at the university of Gothenburg. At the university the students have their own spaces at a cyberspace cloud storage facility. The place is called Canvas. In Canvas the students subject are lined up and information about each subject is also stored and other features about the students education. The place is only about university information and education. Yesterday, I tried to log in to my account into Canvas at the university of gothenburg, at Handelshögskolan on my computer. It was not a success. I tried to use the regular webbrowser for Apple, Safari, but it was not a problem there and I was able to login. I was also able to login to my account on my cellphone, which is logged in via an application downloaded from Appstore.

I do not wish to use Safari because it is not purposeful in the usage in the direction via education that i am looking to achieve.

How can you help me solve this please?

TODAY'S (NEW-ish) ISSUE: - Multiple times per day I Click the Yellow button Top Left Bar to shrink and put App in dock to open again later. When I re-Large FireFox shows EMPTY FireFox Bar like I "Quit". Each time need to go to History and RE-OPEN ALL TABS??????

1. 2 within THIS text box just now, I highlighted the words: "Today's Issue" and clicked BOLD - instead it added a 2nd set of parenthesis???? WTF?

Browser is open all day. Always multiple tabs open/signed in, Paid & non-paid Apps, Email boxes, Wix, etc, many website tabs up, I do a lot of "research" - to pay my $rent and/or live my life using this "tool". Is my typical behavior. IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING WORK - I need to fix re-load Firefox again and again. . . Interrupted, distracted, observe, deal with so many Tech failures every day from ALL brands, I am struggling to keep my "life" functioning.

I recently lost all my data on my computer and after logging into my account, I couldn't retrieve my firefox data. I searched everywhere on my browser and couldn't find nothing to fix this.

I keep getting this message when I try to sign in on Firefox. Chrome let's me sign on but i much prefer Firefox. Any suggestion? {
