I would like Firefox to remember exceptions and store specific cookies that I need for the Microsoft authenticator, and other two-stage logins. Whatever setting I choose (untick delete cookiex and sitedata, assign websites to manage exceptions etc) upon closing Firefox everything is deleted, always. This means I can't use any authenticator to remember me when I want it to do so.

I used a third party cookie extension (Cookie AutoDelete) to whitelist some sites and it worked perfectly fine until an apparent recent update by Firefox. I am on Firefox 101.0.1 on Mac.

Any ideas?

Despite have used Firefox for many years, I am still not completely clear on why there are two separate areas for cookie settings, and how everything works together. In Cookies and Site Data: I check Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed. In Manage Exceptions, the listed domains I choose will not be deleted, but all other domains will. Correct? In History: I uncheck Always use private browsing mode, and I check Clear History when Firefox closes. In the Clear Recent History box, I uncheck Cookies and Site Settings. Question: Will be above choices in both areas get me where I want to be, which is retaining cookies for chosen protected sites, while deleting cookies for all others whenever Firefox is closed? If this is where a lot of people want to be, why are these choices presented in such a complicated way? If relevant, under Enhanced Tracking Protection I choose Custom, and leave all the boxes checked. The sites I choose to use seem to perform well with this option. Is this Security & Privacy area in Settings in need of reworking for ease and clarity?

After updating to version 112 from 111.0.1 Firefox keeps forgetting logins and cookie settings on all websites. After closing and reopening the browser I have to sign in again and the websites will ask for cookie permissions.

I tried reverting to 111.0.1 and creating a new profile and it did not have the same issue. I also tried disabling all extensions in version 112, but that did not help.

In "Privacy & Security" settings I enabled in "History" section to remember all history. But when I load, for example, https://conan.io site I see a notification about cookies with button to allow them, everytime I load site I see this message, and I forced to click and click "Accept All Cookies" button.

How can I enable to store all cookies in Firefox to avoid this annoyable message?

Thank you.

I was having trouble switching and logging out of Twitter so I thought I could just clear site cookies to make it work, but I weirdly discovered "about:preferences -> Manage Data -> Remove Selected / Remove All Shown" has no effect. i.e. after clearing, when I open up manage data again, they are still there. I did not try "Clear Data" above it because I was afraid of clearing out all my logins.

I reinstalled my computer several weeks ago and current profile was directly copied from my last machine, so this might be a possible cause? Could someone be so kind to help me get remove cookies and hopefully twitter back to work? Thank you in advance.

I use Pinterest quite a bit and somehow a great deal of pins have disappeared.

This happened once before when I was using Chrome, and I was able to go digging into my cached files and find the cached versions of the thumbnails of my Pins, so I could somewhat recreate them based on that.

I'm not sure how to go about that with Firefox. Would any information (specifically images) be stored from a previous version of a webpage?

Thank you!

First, check "DeIete cookies and sitedata when Firefox is closed" from Privacy & Security in the settings.

After that, register the Google domain as an exception with "Manage Exceptions".

When I restart Firefox after logging in to Google once, the Google registration information disappears even though I registered the exception, and I have to log in again.

However, there are some sites where my login information will not disappear if I register as an exception.

How can I prevent my Google login information from disappearing even if I restart with the above settings?

Thank you.

I've enabled 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' to delete the cookies and site data when I close Firefox, but I would like to add some exceptions (mostly mail site). Every time I add the exception through Manage Exceptions... button and then I close Firefox, when I restart Firefox, the exception is gone. Is this expected? I don't think so. If so, it's not clear in the UI, as the button is just next to the mentioned checkbox.

Hi, developer question here:

How can I one-click delete all data in all stores for a website? DevTools give me the "Storage" tab, but I have to go through every single store (cookies, local, session, etc) and delete every data entry one-by-one. Chrome eg has a very usefull "celar all data" button in their DevTools.

Thanks!

I manage a website that uses https for logging in or other sensitive data but uses http for non-sensitive data. Beginning with Firefox 96, users who login using https can navigate to any https page on the site using their logged in credentials, but do not have their login credentials when they navigate to http pages. It appears the cookies generated on https pages are not accessible from http pages using the latest version.

Is this a bug in Firefox 96 or a feature?

Bug or not, I understand the obvious advice would be to use https for the entire site. But our site uses a 3rd party app that does not work using https. The second obvious advice would be to get rid of or fix the app so we can use https for the entire site, which will have to happen at some point. But for the meantime, is there a setting in Firefox that will allow users to login to a mixed https/http site using Firefox 96 or are users going to have to use another browser?

Even though I have removed the cookies for Facebook, the Manage Cookies screen shows a HUGE storage space. FF v99.0 on Mac

from preferences page: Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 17,179,869,184 GB of disk space.

almost all are Facebook storage. I'm feeling a little reluctant to delete all site data. If I clear all cookies and site data will that fix the issue? will the issue re-occur?

I am unable to use the' how to enable cookies on Firefox, . i have tried to find the tools on firefix without success. When I click onthe bar on the top right hand side of the screen it opens but there is no 'OPTIONS' section shown.

Another problem is when I try to add grammartically to my firfefox browser it does not add it.
I have been using an earlier version of Firefox without having any of these problems. When I try to sign into my virgin media which I keep in my bookmarks it says that cookies are not enabled in my browser. Something is rather strange with this browser and I await your comments.
