Firefox has worked fine on my WinX systems for years. Yesterday it downloaded a new version (103.0 64-bit) that totally destroyed the experience!

Everything I see now is GIANT SIZED compared to the rest of my desktop and to the old Firefox. I've looked for any relevant setting and I've tried the "Refresh" button with no help.

I want to go back to the previous version!

When I go to websites there are unusual characters(light font) that are displayed. That shouldn't be there. How do I get rid of them?

I have Firefox 103.0.2 and have enabled the use of style sheets in about:config. I have a CSS style sheet userChrome.css that is giving me color at the top heading and in the tabs, except for the active tab (is white)

The whole top is solid color (same as Windows color, which is ok by me. However, it would also be nice if there were a dividing line or separation between the menu on top and the "tabs" below. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!! Vern

I am using ff latest ver 103.0.1 on Windows-10-Enterprise-22H2-19045.1865-x64. When I go to drive.google.com/ it redirects me immediately to their support site displaying page : https://support.google.com/drive/answer/6283888?visit_id=##################-##########&p=unsupported_browser&rd=1

hash is a single decimal digit above.

On the support page, there is a button labeled "Update your browser". On clicking that ff opens another tab showing website : https://updatemybrowser.org/

This website says my ff version is 45. I wonder where did they get this number from .... !

So I installed a user agent editor extension ( https://mybrowseraddon.com/custom-useragent-string.html ).

Now updatemybrowser.org says I am using latest ff. But Google Drive still redirects me to their support site.

Same behaviour seen in ff safe mode when all extensions are disabled.

What do I do to access the Google Drive page?

Or maybe I did something wrong but I cannot figure it out.

Basically, I get no change whatsoever after creating the userChrome.css file and placing it in the appropriate "chrome" folder in my profile folder...

Please help me figure this out.

i really hate when forcing a new features without clear or easy way to disable it ..started the the download icon new annoying behave. now i have 2 more problems....

1.how can i disable this one ( Windows' "Make text bigger" accessibility setting now affects all the UI and content pages, rather than only applying to system font sizes) it was ok before update i want to remove this new one i don't like the UI auto resize..

2.after updating to 103 my bookmarks toolbar stopped working.. now its it's empty and i cannot add any new bookmark by select and drag the only thing i can do to show or hide this blank bookmark toolbar how to fix it ?

After this latest Firefox install, my zoom percentages are wonky. They were set at 100% before but now I have to adjust them to around 70% for the same zoom effect, but that doesn't fix how much taller the tab space is and bookmark space relative to the previous version.

Hello! This is probably one of those intrusive facebook things I won't be able to stop, but when I open messenger in Firefox, it prompts me every! single! time! to download messenger for windows, which I very much don't want to do. It does it via a box over my messages that I have to physically click away. I already have pop-up windows disabled for every site. I went to permissions-- notifications but it wouldn't let me add messenger. Is there anything I can do?

FF upgraded itself and turned off the lighted keyboard on my tower computer. I can still use the keyboard, but it is not backlit and I want that feature back. Windows help files are non-existant. I have unpluged the keyboard and reconnected it and I did a cold reboot of the computer-no joy. Disabling the keyboard and trying to reinstall it by plugging it in again might work, but doing that is marked "advanced" by windows, so I am afraid to do it without advice. I am running windows 10 and use a Logitech keyboard. I am not a computer techi, so I need advice in baby-talk. VO1TV>

Firefox updated to 103.0 (64-bit) tonight and now zoom is at 110%. I have gone in and put it back to 100% but it's not changing. When I go back and look, it's right back to 110%.

How can I fix this?

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. I opened Firefox this morning and suddenly my home screen was 4 or 5 times larger then when I shut down the night before. The zoom settings in the menu only affect the body of the home screen. I can not find how to reduce the size of the fonts being used in the ribbon.

My web pages have increased in size on their own. I tried shrinking the font size a bit but it is not the font but the pages (borders, etc)....how do I get it back to normal and why did it do this?

Hi, I am trying to understand why my exceptions (blocked web sites) keep deleting and or when I delete cookies the exception are also removed? I apply several web sites to be always blocked, but every time I go back to add another or check. They have been removed. Also if I tick the delete cookies when closed. That also deletes the exceptions. Why would it do this?

Why on earth would I continue to re-enter the same several exceptions every time I open Firefox?

Am I missing something else in the settings? And yes I always click on save changes.

I've enabled 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' to delete the cookies and site data when I close Firefox, but I would like to add some exceptions (mostly mail site). Every time I add the exception through Manage Exceptions... button and then I close Firefox, when I restart Firefox, the exception is gone. Is this expected? I don't think so. If so, it's not clear in the UI, as the button is just next to the mentioned checkbox.

After upgrading to Firefox version 103.0 on Windows 10 I am no longer able to Login to https://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login . After entering my User ID and Password I stay on the Login screen with the gear spinning for several minutes then receive the error screen shown in the attached image. Clicking on Try Again" on the error screen produces the same error. Please correct ASAP.

Note that the Login from https://auth.synchronybank.com/account/login completes successfully using the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers.

None of the menu buttons work at the top of yahoo mail in firefox when an e-mail is open, I am able to use these in Microsoft Edge. Until the last update of firefox they worked so something broke in the latest release 103.0.1 is my guess. I restarted without extensions and still broken.

everytime I open firefox, it automatically switches tabs like these which require authentication to log in. even though their password is saved, I am still required to click in sign-in button.

Its really annoying that these kind of tabs get opened automatically, and then I have to switch back. Is there a way to disable this autoswitch or better, let the authentication happen automatically since the password is already stored ?
