My Firefox has just started crashing frequently. 2012 MacBook Pro, Mojave 10.14.6

Here is the latest submitted crash. I have followed all the steps in the Help document. Systam is up to date, so is Firefox Crash still happens in "Troubleshoot" mode.

Someone else asked the same question a while back but the answer doesn't work for me.

The previous answer: 1. Make sure you have "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" checked in your browser. To check that, Open Menu->Options->Privacy & Security->Forms & Passwords 2. If the above check box is checked, then whenever you enter username & password in any website Firefox will ask you to save username & password 3. Click on Don't Save. So Firefox will save the user name in form data. 4. When next time you open that website and click on user name it will show you the list of entries(If you used multiple use names on same site else will show only one user name) available for that filed.

I get no list of user names.

I am being prompted to update Firefox on my Mac but when downloaded, it says that it is broken and should be put in the trash. I don't know how to fix the problem and the articles are not clear to me.

There was a minor Windows update on my work Windows 11 Ent laptop which I did and it restarted after which FireFox doesn't launch.

I am sure my sys-admin did not restrict this.

Hello, I am wanting to disable time out on Firefox because it keeps timing out before I can fulling download an ebook. When I enter about:config no page opens for me to be able to make the changes. Would appreciate some help with this please. [email removed from public] Thanks

I just updated the browser. Just prior to doing that, I used used this website https://www.carpetmdinfo.com/ without any problems. Now, as click on the different tabs of this website (Home, About Us, Our Cleaning Process, etc.), nothing happens. The same website works without problems with Safari.

Does anyone else experience similar problems?

I looked at reporting the problem as a bug, but I am sorry, it is too complicated for me. If someone could replicate the problem and report it, if in fact the same happens to others, I'd appreciate it.

This has been going on for some time. One site (https://www.chicagotribune.com/) displays for a single second, then clears to all white. I've tried disabling extensions and the Troubleshoot Mode, without any difference.

I am using MacOS 10.14.6 and Firefox 99.0.1. (Yes, I know there is a newer FF version, but the last time I tried to update all my bookmarks vanished.)

Apple's built in spell checker on the Mac is unparalleled. Not only does it integrate with the native dictionary, it also automatically detects and switches languages as you type. Right-clicking on an unfamiliar word brings up the "look up" option which fins the word in the dictionary. It's furthermore smart enough to detect misspelled words which are correct words in another language. I don't know how apple achieved this, it's remarkable.

Anyway, Firefox displaces this functionality on the mac with their own dictionary, which although good, is not as good as the native spell checking and dictionary.

Is there a way to enable the native dictionary for Firefox on the Mac?

Is there a way for the new window animation in Firefox for Mac to be disabled?

Safari does not do this, but firefox has a... ~100ms animation for new windows that's extremely frustrating for those of us who do not use tabs (Apple's Exposé/Mission Control obsoletes them).

I haven't found a configuration in about:config, although I've been able to disable a few others.

I've started getting this error message on certain websites (always the same ones):

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to www.manek.org.uk.

   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

The same websites still work fine on Firefox mobile, so it's nothing inherent in the sites themselves.

I have only noticed this in the last few days. I had just updated Firefox to version 109 – but it's not specific to one version of Firefox either, as I tried on one of my Macs which hadn't updated yet and is still on version 107, and the issue was replicated exactly the same.

I have tried clearing the cache, restarting Firefox, etc.

Can anyone help me resolve this? Some of these are websites I use quite a lot for my work, and it's frustrating to have to do anything just on my phone.

When I try to access Amazon on Firefox the entire password box is already full and will not delete, very scary, I cannot now enter Amazon unless I dump Firefox as a browser and choose Safari or Chrome

Using online recommendations I was able to force the general theme to white, however individual segments of the FF UI still retain black (see the images). I want to whiten them too. I saw a heap of color related settings in about:config. I set one of them, layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override, to 1 but that had no effect on the appearance of the said elements.

My Mac iOS updated and erased all my firefox bookmarks. I tried to log in and it created a new account instead of logging in to my firefox account. i need help recovering my saved bookmarks

Hello, some years ago I found how to prevent FF to ask for the master password too often. Obviously, this setting involved the about:config editing. Now, I'd like to reduce this time because I'm requested for the master password only at FF launching and I cannot find the options I changed. I looked for options with the word "expire", but it doesn't seem to affect the situation. What was the option I changed? Or what is it now (in case latest FF versions have different options)? Thanks

I've got plenty of bookmarks organized in folders and sub-folders (never could wrap my head around using tags). Normally, hovering on top of a folder or sub-folder just opens it. However for some unknown reason, some folders just don't open on hovering. By contrast, opening the "Manage bookmarks" pane shows all bookmarks are there and functional. The issue only appears in the menus, and I'm not sure when it appeared exactly.

Already tried: Renaming faulty folders: no effect Moving bookmarks into a newly created folder: no effect Moving faulty folders into an already-working folder: works, except if the folder is the one containing the root menu.

How to solve this strange issue?

I made the mistake of clicking update when the message said that I had not updated Firefox in a while. After the update, all saved login/passwords were gone. I never had a Firefox account so I couldn't sync. So this time I created one and have been going through and putting in my logins and passwords and selecting Save whenever I am given the option. But, when I go into preferences/privacy to view the saved logins, it is blank and says I don't have any saved logins....What is going on?

Back when I used Chrome, there used to be an option when you could right-click a word and get an option in the context menu to "look up". In Firefox this doesn't seem to be the case. Is there a way to enable this? I've also included screenshots of the feature working in Chrome.

Each attempt to log in to my bank account, using Firefox browser straight up, results in an access denied refusal. If I go to Duckduckgo.com and search for my bank, I can access the bank account. I wonder if you have other complaints/comments to that effect, too. It is an aggravation and my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU), did not have a solution but suggested I contact Firefox direct.
