Everything is gone, I have had to reinstall windows 4 times in the last week with a new PC and now all my sync data is gone...Chrome remembers everything fine and Mozilla did remember everything until this install and now its not syncing anything.

If this stuff is gone so am I.

Have tried logging in with my google account, tried logging in with Moz account, tried sync button over and over tried restarting, tried uninstalling and reinstalling and manually deleting all the folders STILL NO SYNC DATA AT ALL.......

I use Firefox for work. Recently, I refreshed my desktop and now my favorites do not sync with the fresh Firefox installation. I've logged out, uninstalled/reinstalled, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My firefox deleted all my passwords and bookmarks last night. I manually inputed everything from scratch and now it has all deleted again. I pressed sync no multiple times and nothing is popping up. I am extremely annoyed. If this isn't resolved I must switch to a new browser.

Hi all, Starting at the weekend or end of last week I think, when I send tabs to another device when that device is switched off then when I open Firefox on the other device, the sent tabs are loaded in private browsing windows, not the main window with my saved tabs in. Sometimes all sent tabs arrive in one private browsing window, sometimes in one private browsing window for each tab. As I can't drag private tabs into the main window this is really annoying! How can I stop this happening please? Cheers :)

Cannot get FireFox browser on my Windows 11 computer to sync with my Android mobile phone or the other way around. They both can see each other but they won't sync.

i have 4 accounts on firefox and i cannot remember which account i have been used through years now i cannot sync my old data however i have tried the 4 emails and accounts i used and non of them is working

how can you help me

My desktop history is no longer synching with my phone. I have the proper desktop device synced.

I have sync turned on.

I haven’t checked, but I’ll venture to guess my bookmarks and open tabs aren’t syncing either.

Hi! I have a lot of tabs synced in the mozilla account on a device that I have not connected for a while (forgot it at a place far away). Recently I needed to open some of the tabs and while the device was shown in the account the tabs were not accessible. Isn't that one of the major points of using the sync, to be able to see things between the devices??? My reaction - WTF? It's like the perfect lie - hey look we have your device here.... but it is actually just the name. I am so frustrated about this.... why don't you even talk about this? Why is there no warning that my data is going away??? Why is this decision to delete the synced tabs (not the device but only its tabs) from the account happening without any notice, at a time randomly decided by someone? How is that making sense? Why can't the user be informed and make a decision? I think that's one of the reasons why you lose and lose and lose market share, because you don't care anymore about your users, you think all are idiots and you can make decisions for them and restrict their abilities to manage their experience. I know it is free software but it's getting worse until it will become absolutely irrelevant, please stop smoking whatever you're smoking and make more sense with your decisions to add/remove features and alter functionality. Just one more example of another senseless decision - the time options when I want to clear the history. Just 1/2/4h, since 12am and everything.... I am trying but there's no logic in choosing these intervals and restricting the user to only those.... Another one.... the extensions... it's like a dumb game of hide-and-seek to find their options and manage them or to put their icon on the toolbar or somewhere handy and visible so it can be used as it is supposed to be used.... does not make any sense! Ah yeah and the very very old complaint: WHY did you remove the status bar? Lots of info can be added there and it was VERY useful. This was one of the big "WTF is happening with Firefox?" moments.... only downhill from there. I will probably give up on Firefox if it doesn't come back to actually making sense. Not all users are idiots, give them back the power to use your (still good) software in the way they want, stop taking away features and options. And don't forget the power users, take their options away and they will go away.

Why isn't the customization layout being maintained in the sync?

I use Firefox on one computer, and when I opened another computer, installed Firefox, and logged into my profile,

the bookmarks appeared (but without icons).

The add-ons also appeared, but they were all hidden in the add-ons list.

I have to rearrange them and pin each add-on individually to the browser's top bar to be able to browse and access other icons like (Settings, Library, and the Home button).

This is a waste of time and effort and very annoying. The customization layout should also be synced.

I recently switched to Linux on both my laptop and desktop computers, and I have started having an issue where after closing Firefox, the process does not end fully, leading to a Firefox crash notice after a minute or two.

This seems to only happen when I have sync turned on. It always says "syncing..." and never finishes, and logging out of my account or turning sync off fixes this problem. However, I'd really like to be able to use sync across my two systems.

My laptop is running Pop OS, and my desktop is running CachyOS. Making a new account fixed this error for a few days, and now it is happening again.

I am trying to synchronise my web browser on my phone to my laptop, but when I try to do so using the QR code I get an error saying I need to use a Mozilla app to do it rather than my phone camera app (see attached)

I can’t find anywhere in my Firefox browser settings this app!

I have two separate Firefox accounts, with separate emails to log in and their own sets of bookmarks, passwords, etc. I want to merge all the data from both of those into a single profile of a single account under just one of the emails.

I'm pretty sure I've done this before, by: 1. Logging into account A and syncing. 2. Logging out of account A without deleting data. 3. Logging into account B and syncing. With the result that account B now contains all its original data plus all the data from account A.

But when I just tried to do this process now, at the point of logging in to account B I got the error "Account limit reached for this profile. This profile was previously synced to a different account. To keep your data organised and secure, each Firefox profile can only be synchronised to one account. To sign in using [account B], create a new profile."

I don't want to have separate profiles with the data from accounts A and B, I want it all merged into the same profile. How can I achieve this?

I use Firefox app in macos, android and ipados. The bookmarks across them are not synching automatically. I need to press sync manuelly to do. All apps are updated, all settings look fine. Please help me synch bookmarks across platforms. Thanks a lot.

When I'm on my phone and signed into my Firefox I want to be able to send tabs to my desktop. I'll click the three dots on my Samsung 20fe, click share, and click send to device. My p.c. is listed and when i click on it, a box pop's up and says "tab sent. I don't know where it's going, but it's not making it to my desk top. I've tried logging out and logging back in. on both devises

bold text all my passwords seem to have disappered on my desktop, I checked my mobie app and they were there. there was a message to sync this morning on sign in.
