Only when using my Firefox in windows on my PC. After I am connected to my Gmail for a short period of time, it stops working and then I see a banner at the top that reads that it is disconnected. It will not reconnect until I close Firefox and then reopen it. I have checked everything including a uninstall and then reinstalling Firefox. Can someone help me?

When I read content on a web page, I like to use the up and down arrows and PgUp PgDn to go through it. I hate having to reach over for the mouse and line everything up to go to the next screen. Since the last update, it seems I can't do that. When I hit the down arrow, or the PgDn key, it skips randomly down the page. This is especially true if I am reading an article with pictures in it. I think this might have something to do with my clicking yes to an inquiry from Firefox that just appeared on the page while I was browsing. It asked whether I wanted to be able to block text with keyboard commands. I'd like to change it back to whatever it was before, but can't figure out how to do that. Bill

When receiving the following messages when accessing a specific URL.

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to xyz. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

Then clicking on the Advanced... button at the bottom of the popup window.

And then clicking on the Accept the Risk and Continue button.

My question is does Firefox make any changes to Internet Options or anywhere else, including within Firefox to change configurations of any type when the Accept the Risk and Continue button is clicked on?

Thank you!

Hello Team,

I have seen this process: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Data_Collection#Requesting_Approval

I am helping to manage Firefox (policies.json) for the large organisation/company. We do currently have policy with DisableTelemetry=true and would like to enable it but: - would like to have access to it - would like to execute some Data Science activities on that telemetry

Is that possible ?

Seems that tools like Looker, GAD or Measurement Dashboard of Firefox Public Data Report are showing only global statistics while we are interested in looking at "our" statistics only (around 100K endpoints).

Thanks, Michal

Firefox menus (like downloads, extension popups or the 3 bars at the top right corner of the window) are very small in height (the width is normal), which makes them basically unusable. It's apparently happening when FF is on a monitor that is "zoomed in" (Settings > System > Display > Scale and layout > Change the size of apps, ... @ 125%). The monitor is 1920 x 1080 for 15". I'm on Windows 10 using Firefox Nightly (96.0a1) but it does the same thing with Firefox (94.0.2). Probably irrelevant but I'm using a colorways theme on both versions. When moving the window to another monitor, the menus appear in their normal sizes. Deactivating hardware acceleration did not help. Any kind of help is appreciated.

Another beginner question: How could I let the developer tools show me all javascript accessible functions of the textarea I'm right now writing in?

I could bet that was possible before updated some days ago. (I wasn't doing anything programming and developer tools for some months, so I seem to have forgotten a lot.)

I know I could iterate over the object by self written javascript, but isn't that overview available directly in the developers tools?

Following approach to show video stream via Media Source Extensions (MSE) works well in Chrome, Edge, Opera but not in FireFox:

Media Source API

mediaSource = new MediaSource() sourceBuffer = mediaSource.addSourceBuffer(myCodec) sourceBuffer.mode = "sequence" sourceBuffer.addEventListener('updateend', function () { UpdateEndHandler(self); }, false) sourceBuffer.addEventListener('updatestart', function () { UpdateStartHandler(self); }, false)

and in the events UpdateStartHandler and UpdateEndHandler is processed the value of - sourceBuffer.buffered.end(0)

The problem is that FireFox often returns the same values for UpdateStartHandler and for UpdateEndHandler event which si not correct because into sourceBuffer.appendBuffer were appended real video data. Chrome, Edge, Opera returns two different values.

Please help.

Hello,

I downloaded firefox app on my android phone and noticed that the browser or pages are brown in color. I am not computer savvy so I don't exactly know how it arrived that way. But I love it and I would like to have it on my laptop.

I have vision problems and I am photo sensitive. I eyes hurt bad, so much that tears run down my face and my nose run while trying to use the computer. Is this brown screen available for laptop. If so how would I access it.

Thank you,

Hi I keep getting these error messages in Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. It seemed to work ok after that, until I logged back in to Firefox a few minutes later and started getting this error again. I like Firefox but getting all these errors is really frustrating. I do not have these errors with other browsers. Any ideas? If not I will have to go to another browser.

Running ROCK SOLID Windows 7 SP 1 64 bit. Last week updated 64 bit FF from 88xx to 94.0.2. EVERYTHING was working fine with FF 88 except for videos on CNN.

After update when I right click in FF the small Context Menu freezes. Subsequent right clicks launches the same Menu. See attached image. When I mess around with scrolling they go away.

Also, when I'm going back and forth between a FF web page and a file in another app to cut and paste text or images, half of one or the other screens hang.

I'm an old geek and I did ALL of the recommendations including a complete clean uninstall and clean reinstall of FF 94.0.2... I've spent hours trying to solve the problem...

I'm having NO PROBLEMS with Chrome or Opera or any other SW on this PC.

BTW, DON'T EVEN SUGGEST GOING TO Windows 10 or 11. I have 10 but I use 7 on this PC for a lot of reasons.

Like I said, problems began after 94.0.2 update.

Regards,

Chas.

Hello,

When there is a form to fill out in Firefox, whenever I fill it out and press "refresh", the things that I wrote still stay there. However, I don't want it to do that, I want it to refresh the forms as if I am visiting the page from new. How can I make it so that Firefox does this? It is weird because it used to do this but now no longer does.

This is a feature implementation suggestion for Firefox Daylight.

I am convinced that it would be a great advance to have an automatic activated/deactivated function that achieves a "dark mode" during the visit of any web page.

It would be a function similar to that already available to some other large Search Engines, such as Opera...

In this way, Firefox would also join the trend for the defense of visual health when using the Internet.

A mi juicio, demasiado diferente.

A nod to any other intelligent human being: this very Firefox page for writing messages, is in stark and blinding white. And it is not that white and bright is a bad thing, it is that we are talking about screens loaded with luminosity that exhaust our eyesight. "Black on white" to describe the ability to read a text on physical paper (a book) is one thing. "Black on white" to capture the reading of the image projected by an electronic screen is quite another thing. In my opinion, too different.

It is for this reason that I ask that Firefox engineers be informed about this request.
