Why did Mozilla change the "Clear Recent History" dialogue window so that it NO LONGER has the "hotspot" that the cursor automatically goes to to make it quicker and easier to "Clear All History" after SETTING the choices to "Everything" and choose all of the options? The cursor USED TO be able to be set to go to the "OK" button automatically, now it does not. Why and why not? AND the dialogue window has been ENLARGED and SET in a CENTERED LOCATION onscreen. Why? Is it POSSIBLE to correct this oversight and allow for the cursor to go to the "OK" button automatically again? It seems that Windows 10 has presented additional challenges in maintaining a pleasant experience for MOST services/apps, and I hate that MS does that at every "update".

If there is NO way to correct/re-establish these functions to Firefox, Thank You for your time and efforts to keep Mozilla users/friends safe and happy, and stay safe and well,

I would like to block some sites (entire domains) from injecting JWPlayer iframes while I'm trying to read the site. (The Hill, https://thehill.com, is particularly annoying with this.) However, I need to see content that some other sites embed in JWPlayer, so I can't use the nuclear option of blocking the cdn for jwplayer in my hosts file.

Are there any settings or add-ons available that allow by-domain blocking of JWPlayer? (I don't care if it's a "whitelist" or "blacklist" approach, so long as I can manually determine which sites play and which don't.)

When I start up firefox I usually select restore previous session to get back all my tabs, but sometimes I click on the wrong button and accidentally close out firefox. When I open firefox back up and try to restore the previous session, it restores to the session where I misclicked and only brings up the homepage. Is there a way to restore to the session before that with all my tabs, without having to go into browser history and bringing them up one by one manually?

Some of the answers to similar questions involve going to "%appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles\sessionstore-backups", but all of the files in that folder are either from several months ago or from after I messed up and lost my session.

After the most recent update, currently on 92.0, the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons are invisible. They are still there and I can get the tool-tip if I hover over them with the mouse, but visually they are completely gone.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Systems: MacMini (2018) running Mojave 10.14.6 Windows 10 Pro v20H2, build 19042.1165, experience pack 120.2212.3530.0

Ever since FF v89 when I go into FF Settings in either system none of the options I have selected display an 'X' in that option's checkbox. In previous versions when I clicked in an option's checkbox an 'X' would appear and disappear when clicked again.

No more.

I've tried changing the theme to Dark, Light, System . . . no change to this issue in either my Mac or pc: I cannot see an 'X' in any option's checkbox in FF Settings.

Please see attached screenshots. They are with "Dark" theme, but its the same no matter what theme I choose.

How to get my Settings choices to show that I have checked off this or that option?

Solution??

Thanks!

Even when I am writing this, I am unable to answer the question "Which topic best describes your question?" because its drop down menu is not readable and full of symbols. I reinstalled the Firefox but the problems persisted.

Furthermore, I also reset the all the fonts menu in the "about:config" and changed "layout.css.font-visibility.level" to 1. Sadly, there was no luck.

I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding solution of this problem.

When I use control-F to search in a page, a ribbon appears at the bottom of the page with a search bar and associated controls. Somewhere on that bar, there should be an "X" to dismiss the search. It's not there anymore. (See screenshot.) The only way I've found to dismiss the search is to put the cursor in the search bar and press the ESC key. That's a bother. This must be a new bug, right?

I remember seeing somewhere that -moz-box-ordinal-group does not keep assigned values in userChrome if the value is changed after being set the first time. This certainly seems to be the case -

With the following I had temporarily set the value to '1' but then set it back to '2' - it no longer works.

#clearDownloadsButton {
 -moz-box-ordinal-group: 2 !important;
}

Am I missing something?

In the attached image, the code is indented with 4 spaces, but it displays as if it's 2 spaces because the spaces are thinner than the other characters. In the second image, I've highlighted a single space, which is half the width of the character above it. I also downloaded the latest nightly and this still happens with it.

Github's current `font-family` rule: `ui-monospace,SFMono-Regular,SF Mono,Menlo,Consolas,Liberation Mono,monospace`

In devtools, firefox underlines `Liberation Mono` as the active font-family, but I uninstalled that from my system and it switched to `monospace` (Noto Sans Mono) with the same issue. If I change it to remove the `Consolas,Liberation Mono,` it gets fixed, but when `Liberation Mono` is installed+highlighted and I only remove `Consolas,` it doesn't work til I remove `Liberation Mono,` as well. Note that both `Consolas` and `Liberation Mono` resolve to "Noto Sans Mono" "Regular" in fc-match, which is my default monospace font.

It seems the folks there at Firefox central enjoy wrecking people's experience by frequently releasing new browsers that breaks what already in place. What the hell is wrong with you guys...?? Are you secretly employed by Microsoft and/or Google....?? Seriously, this is no way to run a browser company. It is, however, a great way to ruin one. Give us a break, and stop breaking our browsers. You ruin our experience, and you do it on a semi regular basis. It's all well and fine to release new stuff, with new features, but for the love of God if it's gonna break what we already have, at the very least offer us a way to keep what we have, and have it supported even in a minimal way, and branch off the new option. I get your fears, you fear that not enough people will opt for the new one like that, and you're probably right. That however, should tell you something.

We loyally support your project. That should be worth something. Thanks.

I read that Firefox will using the Snap version by default on Ubuntu 21.10 and beyond. Will the non-Snap version still be available in lets say Ubuntu 22.04 and beyond? The reason I ask is because I use Firejail to sandbox Firefox and Firejail doesn't work with Snaps and yes I know that Snaps and Flatpacks both sandbox apps but I prefer Firejail because of the Private Home profile (nothing is saved in this profile settings, bookmarks, add-ons etc) its way more secure than the sandbox offered by a Snap.

Recently I have been seeing, what I believe is character encoding errors on many web sites.

As you can see from the attached, it appears as a series of 'ddddddddddd' but if I copy and paste that into Word or a text editor it appears correctly. Kinda random, some sites, some areas.

My Firefox automatically updates, so I do not know what version this started.

Apparently I created created a Mozilla Support using my personal email address as some point in time (probably a long time ago). To clarify, it's not the email attached to this account. I had to create this as a temp account due to the issues with my primary account.

Best I can piece it together, I then later created an account for "Firefox Sync" under a different email address, then changed my Firefox Sync account email to my previous email address. Here's the chronology:

2015? Created Mozilla Support account with personal_email@outlook.com 2016? Created Firefox Sync account with work_email@mywork.com 2020? Firefox Sync, Mozilla Support all merge into "Firefox Account" 2021: Before leaving my employer, I switch my "Firefox Account" email from work_email@mywork.com => personal_email@outlook.com. Firefox Account doesn't complain, all goes well and personal email works fine as my primary Firefox Account identity. 2021: I attempt to log into Mozilla Support using my newly merged "Firefox Account" and receive the following red toast error messages: Error 1: "The email used with this Firefox Account is already linked to another profile" Error 2: "This account is not active. Please contact an administrator if you believe this is an error"

Hopefully that all makes sense, any ideas who to fix this? Assuming it's impossible to log in with my old/original Mozilla Support account, so I appear to be at an impasse.
