I try to sync FF between a laptop and a desktop. Everytime I login and approve via email code I get the question to sync my mobile and the account icon gets a yellow triangle.

How do I sync between a laptop and a desktop properly?

I followed 5x the instructions that came with "please sign in to reconnect " but it just offers mobile sync and throws the browser out of the account again..

I have what i am sure is a common scenario, a work pc (mac) and home pc (linux), and I want to have a work profile and home profile that are independently synced across those PCs.

It's no problem to setup sync for the work profile but while setting up sync for the home profile it seems firefox doesn't grok that the home profile already exists and treats it like a new mozilla account.

In debugging this issue (and the "Primary account email required for sign-in" issue, which prevented me from signing in at all) i've come across numerous articles that imply this basic home<->home work<->work sync across 2 devices does not work with firefox. Is this the case? this is a basic (IMO mandatory) requirement for a browser in 2024 and even the difficulty of setting this up is super jarring coming from Chrome.

What I have:

-black theme -limited address bar, most of my items absent -NO items in bookmarks bar -NO extensions

What I want (what was there before) -ALL of the above (full items I put in address bar, including ghostery, bitwarden and all other -ALL extensions -my chosen theme (a light one)

What I did:

last nite: 2 oct, I hit the restore button in help menu, troubleshoot item. IT WORKED!

What happened next today, 3oct, I go to "america cares. org" site, and all of a sudden the "what I have" Firefox (as above) has taken over. -Hitting the restore in the help menu did NOT fix this time.

What's next:

-- do I try to restore a previous dev build version? Just follow the Moz instructions?

I did, last night, add a stable FF (in addtion to dev build, not replacing, in its own separate folder). Since the dev build was working again after refresh last nite, I removed the stable using Revo. Do I try that (again)?

I often use the Sync function to bring open tabs over from my smartphone to my desktop computer. I have noticed over the past month or so, this functionality has become increasingly unreliable and sometimes does not function at all. At the moment I have no synced tabs showing on my desktop. I have signed out and back in to Mozilla on both my smartphone and desktop multiple times, checked the sync settings, and nothing seems to resolve this. There have been a couple Firefox updates on both the desktop and mobile side, none of which have changed this behavior.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? What other trouble shooting steps can I perform? Any help is much appreciated.

I have tried to regaing access to my main account for days now and I can not get past the "Enter authentication code to continue to ⁨Firefox Sync⁩"

So where is the authentication app"

I've tried to Uninstall Firefox Multiple times - I have Clear out the Registry and located every possible file andfolder on my system but it appears Firefox has some anchor files and or lines in the registry that I am unable to remove and all that happens when I attempt to create a new account or use my primary account or some old accounts using old email addresses is it is looking for a 6 Digit Code from an Authenticator App I don;t seem to have or know how to get to - I want this resolved and not told to do pointless instructions from Mozilla support that lead, EVERYTIME to the same issue I am trying to resolve.

I recently bought a new computer and synced my Firefox profile. Bookmarks and other items have synced, but only two of my add-ons (extensions) are syncing from the old computer. I'd love to be able to sync them all especially because one of the add-ons is no longer available and I use it frequently. Is there a different way to bring the extensions form the old computer to the new one?

Settings are set to Open Previous Windows and History upon restart. NO crash(last crash report was 2022). NO update. Opened Firefox today with no tabs, no history, no option to restore. Bookmarks are intact, settings it seems. I am not sure what happened.

After searching and trying to follow several articles - still nothing helped. Looking at Profile - and the 3 choices were from today. Is there ANY WAY to restore previous to today?

Recently I have upgrade my OS from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04, but while I logged in my firefox account to recover my bookmarks & settings, I can't find them. How to recover my bookmarks?

Don't know how, but I deleted Firefox on my desktop. Re-downloaded it on my computer and signed into my acct. But how do I get my NUMEROUS web bookmarks and folders w/ web bookmarks back? I still have everything on my phone app, but if try to sync I think my phone will just get what my computer now has which is nothing.

The verification mode that accompanies the payment page keeps asking me to match images. I do that if the version of the matching image is exactly the same as the one given. However, if the version is different--eyeballs, nose, mouth--then I don't match it. What am I supposed to do to get through this verification mode and make my payment in order to complete my order.

Somehow I lost all my Firefox bookmarks and passwords when computer was rebooted with a Windows 10 restore point. I am having difficulty installing an old firefox profile into the new Firefox browser. The Firefox Trouble Shooting suggestions are very confusing and hard to follow with lack of step by step detail. Help!

I opened up firefox to see that all my passwords disappeared, I've tried syncing, and following this article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update), but still nothing. I can see in my firefox profile file that there are logins.json-4.corrupt files, but I don't know what to do from here. Please can someone help? (Also please be explain step by step simply)
