Hi all,

My Firefox version is 102.0.1.

I upgraded my desktop from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to 22.04 LTS.

I removed Firefox from snapd and installed as a deb package.

I noticed these events happening on my system:

1. No voices on getVoices():

  https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SpeechSynthesis/getVoices

2. On my system,

$ spd-say -O OUTPUT MODULES espeak-ng-mbrola espeak-ng

$ spd-say -L NAME LANGUAGE VARIANT

spd-say -L outputs an empty table, even though spd-say "Hello world" works.

The second module espeak-ng has voices installed. Running spd-say -o espeak-ng -L produces a long table.

Iam not sure if this is a Firefox issue or an Ubuntu issue.

Best Regards, Configentia

When joining a meeting using browser, the microphone/camera permission modal is inaccessible when using only keyboard or screenreader (VoiceOver). When tabbing through the browser toolbar, it just skips the permission modal. If can't access the modal to allow/block then user cannot join the meeting.

I have a client certificate from CLoudflare, on Android and Linux it always works (with Chrome). But I mostly use Linux with Firefox, and there it works sometimes and sometimes not :/

I have already deleted all data (cookies etc.), and used the private browser, has brought nothing.

The weird thing is that it works after a while. e.g. I start firefox in the morning and want to go to the corresponding page and it doesn't work, but when I do something else and try it again later it works, and when I do something else again (in firefox or other programs, it doesn't matter) it doesn't work again.

And it doesn't matter if I use the private browser or not.

I have also already replaced the certificate and I have tried a legacy pkcs12 certificate, all has done nothing

(All certificates were in pkcs12 format)

Does anyone have any idea what this can be?

When I attempt to download a large file, for example this one, Firefox often:

  1. consumes my entire available Internet bandwidth, leaving other applications and devices unable to connect to the Internet, or even to other devices on my LAN.
  2. hangs, i.e. the download doesn't show any progress in the Firefox UI

When I attempt to cancel the download, Firefox does not react. Even if I close Firefox, the download continues to absorb the entire available network capacity. The PC (runniong Windows 10 21H2) can not be shut down normally; I can only stop the process by pressing and holding the PC's power button to effect a hard shutdown. When I restart the PC and restart Firefox, Firefox automatically attempts to resume the failed download, with the same results described above. How can I prevent Firefox from hogging all available network capacity for downloads? How can I terminate hung downloads in a more elegant manner? How can I prevent Firefox from attempting to resume failed downloads the next time I start it? I am currently using Firefox 103.0.2. AFAIK, this is also the latest version at this time.

Go to about:config on the address bar, click "Accept the risk and Continue", type "HUD" and you have these: devtools.hud.loglimit devtools.hud.loglimit.console

What are the numbers associated with them mean? is that how MANY logs (as in, how many "individual rectangles" each representing a log), or is that how MANY BYTES they can take up before deleting the older logs in the devtool's console.

Hello,

When I open my application in Firefox, form elements dissapear, I see onlu blank page, but I have found that at the end of the <div> which displays form elements, I found the attribute <div *my_form_goes_here* style="visibility: hidden !important;"</div> at DOM. I wonder why this is happening and is it the fault of Mozilla or a bug on the frontend side of my application. But at the other browsers this problem do not appear. I tried to open the form in safe mode, incognito, no add-ons, tried to create a new Firefox account, tried without logging in, but none of these options gave the expected result - the tab disappears after I refresh the page. I am asking for help.

Every time I launch Firefox a message appears on the top right corner asking to update with the following text: "Update available Download the latest version of Firefox"

I have never followed this message for I've suspected fake, but it keeps appearing, and every time more and more often along the day (at the beginning it was only once per launch). This keeps occurring in spite of updating to the latest Firefox update (103.0.2) through the "About Firefox" top left menu on my Mac.

Please advise how to get rid of this annoying message. Is this a potential hack or virus attack?

Every so often, Firefox fails to display a video. In this example, Firefox briefly displays what appears to be the first frame, then displays the message "The Media Could Not Be Played". I've tried with Troubleshoot Mode, and clearing history (cache, cookies, site settings, offline website data). How can I find out what's blocking? The example is a Twitter post on Wed 08/17/2022. I hope it is still there. https://twitter.com/i/status/1551522653705576449

When I enter YouTube and I try to see comments written to me, it says "'content filtering' has hidden the discussions on this channel". When I try to click on the button to cancel the filtering, it tells me that it cannot be canceled because the filtering is from the network administrator. "Content filtering Enabled by the network administrator to help filter videos that may contain adult content only." It blocks me from any discussion even if it doesn't contain adult content. I switch browsers, open Chrome, and there is no content filtering by the network administrator, but it does show me the discussion that Firefox blocked. Which means the ISP doesn't block me and neither does any other manager except the Firefox browser. I don't have another network administrator, I surf on a private network at home. You need to report the problem to Firefox and they will take care of it.

Thanks.

In the last year I have had more and more problems with Firefox. It runs when I don't have the browser activated, it slows things down and now it wont even start at all.

The constant updates always interrupt me when I am working on my computer as well.

So bottom line; what do I need to do in order to use the Firefox browser before I dump the program altogether.
