I am using Firefox Browser 145.0 and CCleaner Free version 7.1.1042.0. Either CCleaner wiped out the 4 rows of saved shortcuts, or, I have a unwanted Checked or unchecked Firefox setting. The home Firefox page is black, with no tiles showing, no way to add tiles as far as I can tell

Is their a way to reload the ones I had yesterday? Are they saved in configuration / about: Thanks for helping me. Dave Thompson

One of the things I like most about Firefox is the home page with 'tiles' for my most used websites. Since the last upgrade some of my tiles have the website logos but most do not. Is there a way I can fix this?

Hi! So I just installed firefox and I got onto annoying issue. I like using shortcuts on my homepage, but I started to get some shortcuts added automatically and they bother me a lot. I tried removing them or deleting from history, but as soon as I click the button, one shortcuts gets removed and immediately gets swityched with another one automatically. So I'm stuck in the infinite loop of removing shortcuts and my manually added ones just get lost in all this mess.

On my home page there used to a dozen or so boxes with the web sites I most frequently use that I could click on. It would open a new tab and go to that site. They had the logo of the site. They aren't there anymore. Can I get them back? If so, how?

I installed Firefox on a fresh Win 11 install, and most of the the favicons are still generic on the Home Page several days later. Facebook, Ebay and Youtube are the only ones that appear consistently, sometimes other will display, but then be gone again the next time the app is launched. All other links just have the generic letter icons.

I tried deleting the 3 favicon files in the Profiles folder, but it did nothing. I've tried manually re-adding the links, still nothing. I removed the "S" from "https;//" and still nothing. The favicons all show up on my other machines which use Firefox on the same user account, so it is not a problem with the websites themselves.

Not sure if its related, but upon installing Firefox on this machine, it made Firefox on my Mac desktop absolutely freak out. I had to make a significant number of changes over the course of hours to fix everything, so many relating to favicons alone that I don't know what actually fixed it.

What else can I do to try and get these working? Why does Firefox apparently struggle with this particular feature across multiple OSes?

hello - since yesterday, the links on the startpage don't show anymore, even though they were perfectly fine the day before yesterday, when I shut down the laptop.

i can't find where I could change anything, since in the settings, the 4 lines are still activated, nothing has changed except they're suddenly not showing anymore.... ?

what can I do???

I did try to search through the articles, didn't see anything that could help me.

I would even save them and open a new profile if there's no way to fix it, if only I could find where those links on the startpage are stored...

I use Firefox and I like Firefox and I appreciate what you do there & at Mozilla. But one thing really irks me!

On the homepage, the icons for the various sites I frequently visit are displayed. They change from time to time, depending on how often I sign into my favorite sites.

But I get the sense this system is being manipulated in a way that doesn't serve the interest of your customers/users. Besides my email account, there is one site I go to more often than any other: the Genealogy website "Myheritage.com." Yes as often as I visit this website, its icon is never added to the display of my frequently used sites.

For some years I frequented the site Ancestry.com. But I stopped using them because Myheritage is better for my purposes (exploring Eastern Europe genealogy). Ancestry was removed from my most frequent list, but Myheritage has never been added.

How do I go about adding a section on the home page like "Genealogy" with various articles and events on it. Or even say, "Hobbies" where I can find latest articles or apps on various hobbies I enjoy?

I have various shortcuts saved on the shortcut page comes up after logging in. Its set to 2 rows.. I use it every day. Used it this morning and working perfectly. Been out and when I came back the page is totally blank. I've tried sytem restore to 5th October but makes no difference. I use Windows 10 and read that Firefox are continuing to support Windows 10 I'm visually impaired and use a desktop PC with a large screen. I'm not PC techically knowledgeable. How do I restore my shortcuts or how do I re create them?

After the update yesterday, all of the pinned icons/links on my home page have been rearranged or replaced with others. I restarted the computer and also closed the browser and opened it. Still messed up, I have several that are the same link and some that are missing.

Any way to get them back in order other than trying to figure out what is not there and resetting it all up again.

It was suggested that the pencil icon was not enabled.

The pencil icon shows that the shortcuts are enabled in the "on" blue position - 2 rows. I also checked the shortcut box in the firefox settings home and it is "on " as well.

Tried rebooting my Dell laptop running windows 11 and still no shortcut appearance on the opening page.

A long time ago I was able to set the max number of rows for shortcuts on the Firefox home page to 5. Sometime fairly recently it has changed to 4. I don't know why nor can I remember which line in about;config I used to change it. I think the line was "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesRows" but when I try to change it, it does nothing. At the time I first changed it, the max it would change to was 5. The max now appears to be 4 if I did it correctly. Your help would be appreciated.

Hello, I'm using Firefox on Linux Mint. All of my homepage shortcuts have disappeared without the option to add them back. I tried toggling the shortcuts option on and off and nothing happens. Nothing also happens when checking and unchecking the sponsored shortcuts setting.

The favicons on my homepage are not appearing when I launch Firefox, and I can't find any way to restore them. Turning the favicons on/off in the settings doesn't help, it just moves the location of the search bar. I've included some images to better illustrate the problem.

Is there any way we can restore the favicons?
