I recently downloaded firefox and had all my chrome data imported to firefox , I proceeded to sign up for an account but accidentally keyed in the wrong email address and had that email registered . I went to log the device out and created another account with the correct email address and afterwards went to check if the email address I entered wrongly was valid , turns out it IS someone else email and was active . I was wondering after they verify the email , will they have access to that account and all the bookmark , history and saved password ? .

I tried 1. a normal update of flash 2. Uninstall from system uninstall program then fresh install 3. Uninstall with adobe uninstall tool and manually delete all flash files reboot, verify all flash files/content are removed, run cc cleaner, reboot again. Downloaded fresh newest version 24.0.0.186 install and try to open flash content...

firefox still says vulnerable, and download newer version, there is none, it is the newest version, please make this stop, it has been plaguing my system for months now where I am ignoring the red vulnerable and bypassing safety checks by habit now, this will make me more vulnerable.

I'm not having success when trying to sync. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, as well as logging out/in to my account, but I have not had any luck.

In my searches I found a recommendation to check "about:sync-log" and found a long list of error files.

What steps can I take to troubleshoot? Is there a way to post the error txt file for someone to analyze?

Thanks for your help.

Extracted (show source, copy, paste) email as HTML contains fully explicit URIs for img src= tags. Loading this HTML into Firefox has 'Show Page Source' with correct URIs, but Firefox display doesn't show images. In Firefox 'copy image location' shows "data:image/gif;base64; ..." instead of the fully explicit URI from the HTML source, but no images are displayed. Fully explicit URI correctly loads (manually) into Firefox and displays correctly. Edge loads source HTML file and displays images without any problem.

Note that no CSS or Javascript is being used, just basic HTML.

The permanent options also include Content/colors.../"Override the colors specified by the page with my selection above:" is stuck on "ALWAYS" no matter what other selection(s) I make. Once FF is closed, it will boot back to ALWAYS.

FF is permanently fixed as the default browser. I can't change it or deselect it. The "show my windows & tabs from last time" is permanently deselected.

These are the only errors I have noticed and they are like a virus attack. How do I take back control?

uploading of screen shots is not working.

Selecting a new URL by any method Firefox seem to hang for a long time, in order to complete the load I click on the 'x' at the end of the address bar then click on the curved arrow(reload) to actually load the new page. My system is clean(have active anti virus, etc). Other browsers (Edge, IE) behaviour is correct. It appears like if there was a dns resolution problem except for the fact that a page reload will correct the problem until the next url. Since I am running WinPatrol WAR & Malwarebytes Anti-Malware I have also disabled them looking for effect, however Firefox behaviour did not change. If this was an occasional occurance I would not be looking for assistance, however it is persistent and I want to use Firefox.

I just want to be able to email you a question. while I was filling this section out, I tried to check history for the websites that had been blocked when I tried to access them. I could not get back to this section and...without my requesting it, the last week of history was erased. I admit to being very frustrated. All the websites I was attempting to access were ones I had used previously using Firefox. I read the explanations , to me and apparently to others, the explanations are not satisfactory. The method suggested for getting around the block...click the "i" and then you will be given an option to disregard or overrule the Block? ... I was not given this option . It did not appear in this process. I liked using Mozilla. But this new enforced security for sites that have never caused an issue or have never evidenced a problem with security makes it impossible to use Firefox.

Is there anyway I can simply go back to the previous version?

I am having trouble discerning the edge of a menu (these are the firefox menus, not a websites menus). The menus have white background and no border, most web-pages have a white background. Therefore it is difficult, to see where the edge of the menu is. This leads to a high cognitive load, when trying to find a menu item, as I first have to workout what is the menu and what is not.

Is there a way to configure menus to have a small border (preferably single pixel black)?

I have attached some images, to show what I mean, it is the context menu (the one you get when you right click on a web-page, that has not overridden it). I have also attack an image of the main menu, the one you get to through the burger icon ☰, as it is exactly what I want (and as far as I can see, the only one that has a nice border).

You can see from the thumb-nails that the main menu is easy to see where it is, but the context menu, is lost somewhere in the image (it is hard to tell what the image is of).

Look if you check my history here you will see solved....that; it appears is incorrect.

1. I am just seeking to keep the file save location to the location I choose, until I choose to change it. NOT a random rotation of previous sessions, save directories. NOT having to watch for this continuously and stop using the browser out of plain frustration. NOT a complex change of settings in the (registry or ini file) deep inner workings, that does little.

2. Why is it necessary to have this feature as implemented, with the changing directories based off of previous locations?

In coming here again I found that search queries from visits to sites were being offered as an auto-fill option.

Therefore, I have to ask why would 'Japanese Mythology' be a relevant selection in filling a text box in a troubleshooting forum?

And why would you implement such a feature if it has no logical connection other than a 'fillable' text box.

I am trying to upload audio files (MP3) to my web site. Every time FireFox updates, it will not allow uploading, it just stays in an endless uploading loop. I have to use Task Manager to escape the loop.

I am using Net Solutions website builder tool. FireFox has worked well up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I used IE and it works flawlessly.  ???

Web site: www.floridacrossroads.com

Tried two computers - Win10 and Win7.

I refreshed FireFox browsers on both computers last week and got it to work, but that is a PIA, and I would rather switch permanently now to Chrome or IE if this is going to continue to be an issue with FireFox.

Thank you, John Champlain

Opening FF directly results in a display of the Google startup page according to a default profile. This is as expected and OK. However, FF opens always with the same (wrong) "localhost:8080/sabnzbd" opening page if I open it by clicking on an URL in say Thunderbird mail or another program. It is then each time misdirected away from the URL I want.

I noticed this new anomaly after upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04LTS from the previous LTS version. The FF version is 50.1.0. I have only two profiles in FF. Each one results in Google on opening FF. Should I have only one, and what should it contain? Please help me with simple complete directions -- I am not much of an expert coder.

BTW, I use sabnzbd.
