Hello,

My horizontal scroll bar is missing and disabled. Ive tried using overflow-x:scroll, overflow-x: auto, all of it. The scroll bar appears but is disabled. It works in Chrome and IE

What's up. Why would you disable the scroll bars? This makes NO sense.

I recently started running Malwarebytes and it has been telling me that there's a Firefox process that keeps trying to access a supposedly malicious site. The IP address is 109 163 230 92. It's not that a website is trying to access my computer; it's that my computer keeps trying to access the site. Malwarebytes has blocked this, but it keeps trying different ports in the 60000 range. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Or does anyone know what this is about or what is causing this? I have a number of plugins installed and I'll provide troubleshooting info. I tried looking up the WhoIs but couldn't make much sense of it. Thanks in advance for help with this.

Since I installed the latest version of Firefox, every time I attempt to view a Quicktime formatted video, I'm told to download Quicktime. I have a Mac and already have Quicktime. When I go to manage my Firefox add-ons, the Quicktime plugin is no longer there, nor can I find it to download.

Why?

Hi,

It started last night, corrected itself the next morning, and by afternoon it was permanent.

It shows up on the Google Search engine as Google espanol.

I have decided I want Google out anyway. I am fed up with them.

So, how do I replace Google Search with Bing Search?

In English please.

Thanks for the help. I might could do it myself but I don't read Spanish. Help.

I can access the same site from other computers using FireFox in the same local network. But on this PC FireFox claims that the certificate issuer is untrusted (sec_error_untrusted_issuer) and does NOT give me the option to decide myself. Frankly I'm freaking out by this incredible decision to take control away from the user. A warning is nice and appreciated, but I should ALWAYS have the right to take the risk. Actually I knew what I was doing and I was in a hurry and it was important to get access. I HATE Firefox for this :-(.

I short ... I want to see the warning but I want to be able to access anyway.

I already deleted cert8.db while restarting FF ... didn't solve the problem. I believe my mail operator is INDEED sending the wrong certificate, but I don't care. I want access. Man in the middle ... OK, I usually don't use the webmailer, but I want to be able, damnit.

I live in a remote and rural location. Dial-up internet is the only option. Broadband is not available.

The large Version 44.0 update file download will not remain on-line because of rural dial-up limitations.

I've tried a good quality Download Manager software. But the Firefox Update Version 44.0 webpage will not allow the RESUME command needed for a large file download using dial-up internet.

I cannot upgrade to Broadband. I cannot download the Version 44.0 file---it produces a corrupted file--or webpage refuses RESUME command.

A creative workaround from an open-minded Firefox savvy individual is requested.

Thank you in advance :)

I have read and tried several suggestions on how to change my search engine to google and it will not change to google. I have deleted anything yahoo from my computer, I did the troubleshoot suggestions, I used malawarebytes, and microsoft essentials. Additionally, I deleted the spigot/youtube downloader and toolbar, that includes the add-ons, ms config, the registry, and in my programs. Does anyone know, outside what has already been mentioned what I can do to change the yahoo search engine to google. I would like to add, I still have the same issue in safe mode.

This problem has been so frustrating it actually got me to finally upgrade from 3.6 to 12.0. Sadly (for me), the problem still existed after upgrade.

When I put it any zipcode or any search criteria for searching on the main page (Find a home) of REALTOR.COM and press the Orange SEARCH button, only the banner displays, not the search results. The url that shows up on the mostly empty page is bogus and seems incomplete (http://www.realtor.com/search/SearchRoute.aspx?). The url that shows up on a working environment after a search is http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/01740 (e.g.).

I just upgraded to Firefox 12.0. I have a second monitor connected to my MacBook Pro. With Firefox 11 and all previous versions, I had it set up that Firefox would automatically open on the second monitor when I open the program. With Firefox 12, it absolutely will not do this any longer. It's extremely annoying and makes me want to switch to Safari or Chrome, both of which do correctly open on the 2nd monitor.

Here's what I tried:

-Resizing the window and moving it to the second display, then quitting the program and reopening it.

-Moving the window to the second display and maximizing it, then quitting the program and reopening it.

-Uninstalling Firefox and deleting ALL files (including those in the Library Application Support and Preferences folders), then reinstalling version 12.0

-Uninstalling Firefox and deleting ALL files (including those in the Library Application Support and Preferences folders), then reinstalling version 13.0b

-Uninstalling Firefox and deleting ALL files (including those in the Library Application Support and Preferences folders), then running disk utility to repair permissions and disk, THEN reinstalling version 12.0.

What will correct the problem (though not a solution):

-Uninstalling Firefox and deleting ALL files (including those in the Library Application Support and Preferences folders), then reverting back to reinstalling version 11 and turning off the automatic updates.

The first time I try to access Gmail in the morning, and also when that site has not be accessed recently (a few hours), it can take up to two minutes for Gmail to load. This started several months ago, perhaps around the time that Gmail changed its privacy policy and I opted out of allowing them to store mail in order to more effectively target ads on the site. I'm using the encrypted site.

What gives? Anyone else having the same problem? I doubt its the antivirus software, as I had the same problem with Norton before switching to Avast. Of course, I've not modified Avast since loading it. However, modifications suggested by Norton didn't fix the problem either. Thanks much, BAB

I found 2 similar questions from 10 mo. ago on forum, ea. w/ 25-30 additional people experiencing the prob. 2 weeks ago i asked about 2 problems, have been unable to repair them. Now focussing on this one only. Session restore does not function after quitting, and Restore previous session, recently closed tabs, recently closed windows all grey. I've tried everything short of uninstall/reinstall FF. Was suggested to create new profile w/o corrupted files, but I've no idea what's corrupted. I'm no geek, but can usually follow instructions. however, my concentration is impaired, so I'm really afraid of making things worse.
