Guys, tell me how to change the background of the firefox reader, the white background loads the eyes heavily, tried to use the Dark reader extension, but nothing has changed for me

Is there any way to remove the close-window-button or the whole tab part. I want to avoid the user close the browser. I know there is Kiosk mode, but kiosk mode seems cannot keep back button

icons/ buttons for ublocker and privacy badger disappeared from upper right browser bar. extensions still installed but no access from running browser and no >> so where did they go and how do i restore them. reboot dosn't work, reinstall dosn't work, removed firefox and reinstalled extensions worked only until reboot of firefox. was trying to harden firefox just before the came up missing.

I've seen the archived suggestions do disable quick find. They were to uncheck 'search for text while typing'. I went to do that and it was already unchecked. How can I disable this? It's a problem when doing math homework.

When I use the download option to "Open with", in many cases a .zip file to be opened in file explorer, it does not open the file and shows this error that the file has been "moved or missing".

Hi i would like to know how i can change the font size of my Firefox Menu.

i already change the size of the layout whit "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" but it didn´t change the font size of the tabs or the menu. i did some research and found the userCrome.css technique to change some fonts sizes. i already change the font size of the address bar, PopMenu and tabs. But when it comes to the Main Menu, and bookmarks the font still in the same size. i also try changing the fonts size on preferences but nothing has been working.

i guess there must be a simple command line to add in the userCrome.css file to fix this but i can find it.

if some of you can help me i will appreciate very much.

When I'm browsing articles or news stories or what-have-you on the web, I would like to be able to read the information I came from without all the distracting stuff on the sides and top (or worse, the kind of pop-ups that can't be blocked, because they are JS-generated in the same page). Article mode is great for this, but can I have it automatically enable to help prevent me from distracting myself?

Hi, I have an important question. When I open firefox on my desktop the first website that comes up is not the normal Firefox homepage, its the very irritating <Startxxl> website, and I don't need this add-on. But I really don't know how to remove it.

I would like to use the amazon.com (and wikipedia.com) search engine and keyword. But since I have installed a non-English version of Firefox (or maybe because the default language of my OS is non-English), I get defaulted to amazon for a different country (and the Wikipedia for that language).

How do I get the US / international version as default?

Got to be kidding. The Firefox tutorial is the pits. The worst I seen yet. Is there a developers Firefox manual to be had, because the browser educational platform is the just the worst I seen in years?

The Firefox Container Add-on loads all Firefox Container tabs when starting Firefox. This really slows down everything. I always get the "A web page is slowing down your browser. What would you like to do." yellow bar and the whole page is not working. How can I prevent all these Firefox Container tabs from loading at startup?

The sidebar that is brought up by clicking on the sidebar button normally shows whatever you choose on its dropdown menu (Bookmarks, History, or synced tabs). And it used to be, if you choose Bookmarks on that menu, it shows bookmarks the next time you open it. But since a few weeks, it is always showing History when clicked, even though I only ever use it for Bookmarks. Is there any way to stop this behaviour?

I have DarkReader installed and enabled on all pages and it works on every website I visit, yet it does nothing for support.mozilla.org.

I followed the instructions to "Reset download actions for all file types" from here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files#w_reset-download-actions-for-all-file-types. I accidentally renamed the profile folder instead of the json file.

unsurprisingly, i now get the "firefox profile cannot be loaded" message and cannot open firefox.

I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox to no success.

In an attempt to correct this error (that is, to change the renamed folder back to its original name), i tried to follow these instructions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data#w_finding-your-profile-without-opening-firefox

Under "how do i find my profile?" it reads "Click the Finder icon in the dock. On the menu bar, click the Go menu, hold down the option or alt key and select Library. A window will open containing your Library folder." Well, using the Go tab, there is no Library folder. but I managed to find the folder anyways. but when i do find the folder Library > Application Support, there is no Firefox folder in there!

Please advise how it is that I can find this folder and rename it

Just after the most recent FF update I noticed , from time-to-time, that when I print FF is using the FF printer mode instead of the default Adobe Acrobat printer mode. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens. My options screen still shows Adobe as the default printer mode. So, I don't understand why this is happening. I look forward to anyone's comments. how do I keep my search preferences from changing every time I open Firefox? I prefer to use google as my main search engine and I have set it to this in my preferences thru the option menu. However every time I quit and then reopen Firefox my search engine reverts to yahoo? Why Yahoo? and why does this happen and how do I stop it?
