After update to 89.0 (or even after 88.0) tabs are constantly crashing. OS: Windows 10 pro (19043.1023), last update KB5003214. Firefox completely re-installed 2 times, last time with full refresh. No addons/extensions are in use, only default H264 plugin. Strict tracking protection with always "do not track" is set, but previously no troubles at all for years. Nvidia graphics driver last (462.59 studio) installed with EVGA GTX 1060. Hardware acceleration is disabled. Still multiple tab crashes. last crashes reason: "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ" last crashes (submitted): bp-3b613b8c-4f74-460c-831b-541840210607 bp-7f8192e7-5720-4a53-99ec-8c7700210607 bp-fbe9f7bd-056f-429e-ad17-3dcc70210607 bp-ab56335a-970b-4b08-9b36-75d380210607 bp-8d21fb16-9911-4b84-af38-72d810210607 bp-0ac67369-165e-48ae-86ab-654e90210607 bp-81c77d11-e34b-40b5-83b2-37b850210607 bp-48ca4fc2-ccdf-4665-be60-bee740210607 bp-c8764a0c-285e-4c9e-ac7a-6ca910210607 Thank You for Your kind help. Hi guys. I have Windows PC machine running for several years now. No new program updates or installs recently, no restarts. And then yesterday, suddenly Firefox started to crash all youtube tabs. Not even videos itself, but also www.youtube.com crashes. Any idea how could i find out, what the hell is going on? Microsoft edge is working fine with youtube. I have tried troubleshoot mode, same. Windows 10.

What can possibly cause this? Thank you.

I am accessing this web page by non-firefox program. Firefox is totally broken somehow.

When I open firefox and connect to the internet, everything is fine. But if I step away for a few minutes, my connection is lost, and I have to log into whatever site I was on, again, usually email, buts sometimes others. I seem to have to be continuously using the site for it to stay on.

hi all

Pretty straight forward (I hope):

Currently using Firefox 31.0 on windows 7 64 bit home premium.

Just realised that I've got about 20 sets of pending crash reports (.dmp and .extra) located here:

...AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\pending

Date-range is Feb to Aug 2014, so presumably applies to approx firefox versions 29-31.

Is there a way to force / request submission of these reports?

I have no particular desire to delete them - they don't take up much HD space.

However, there's no point in keeping them if I can't trigger a submission process.

Also, I would like to contribute to bug-resolution by proving the reports.

Btw, I think they are probably mostly Flash related.

This is not just a whinge. The Flash plugin seems to fall over quite frequently (for me anyway) - certainly appears the only one I can rely on to misbehave! I checked the top plugin crash submissions too for the last 28 days on mozilla's crash-stats (filtering on FF 31 and windows)... and... the top 3 entries, which account for 55% of all plugin crashes, appear all to be flash related lol (gJ adobe) ;)

Anyway, if anyone can tell me how to submit these pending reports, I'd be grateful.

Regards,

Gary

PS I noticed, when providing FF's troubleshooting info for this post, that I got a crash report submission (automatically) about 15 mins ago... and one pair of files has disappeared from my Pending folder.

Do I just have to be patient then? I use FF a lot, so don't really understand what circumstances trigger the report submission (i.e. it's not a question of just having FF open / active).

Thanks again for any assistance rendered.

Hi, all of a sudden my FF crashed and won't open. I keep getting the crash reporter. I uninstalled and downloaded a new copy - same problem. It won't even create a troubleshooter file.

I have Panda antivirus software (free) and that just stopped working too. FF fix, or is this maybe a virus?

I submitted a crash report: bp-28bfafdf-37b2-4a4c-b56d-19c690201216 I cannot start Firefox. It crashes with 30 seconds of attempting to open it. It crashes in safe mode, too. I refreshed Firefox. I have installed the latest Firefox (12/16/2020). I have uninstalled Flash Player. I have rebooted. I have no startup.*.cache file in my profiles directory. I have only startup_shaders. I do have two Firefox\Profiles\*.default-* directories. One was created years ago and the other was created on 10th December.
