Firefox has worked fine until this morning. Now it crashes instantly on startup, even in safe mode and even after uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh copy. I've captured many crash reports, including ID=6c53dcc4-7ca3-4877-a074-9ed522151003

My only workaround so far is to start Firefox as administrator. No idea what to try next...

Every time I try to open Firefox, I get the Crash Reporter dialog box (see images). I have followed many troubleshooting steps i.e. uninstall/reinstall. Additionally, this happens in Firefox Safe mode too. The crash id is: bp-af83bfe9-7ad3-4fe1-9766-20d502151004. Any help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Firefox repeatedly crashes on startup. I get an immediate Crash Reported message. It doesn't start in Safe Mode if I hold down the SHIFT key. I've tried a new, clean download and install but it still doesn't start. I'm submitting this in IE.

A couple weeks ago Firefox started crashing on startup. No major changes on this computer. It's an older Dell running Vista with 3 GB ram. I have completely deleted and reloaded Firefox. It will not start in safe mode. I've run the sfc scan and no issues were found. I ran Norton and also found no issues.

The problem appears every time I try to start Firefox. i get a crash report before any windows open, and after trying to restart firefox, the problem persists and i get another crash report. i have tried installing it again, restarting the computer and nothing changes. I've submited a couple of reports, and the crash reports have been different every time. Every time I try to load Firefox it crashes. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox but I still get the same problem. I am running Windows 7 on a Desktop computer. Firefox has been working fine on this system until today. Suddenly it won't load - it crashes when I try to start it. I try to start it in safe mode and it still crashes. I have been trying to find some sort of crash id, but I cannot find one.

I have not been able to open firefox this morning, I get an immediate Crash Report.

Something changed overnight. Worked great until this morning. Firefox is working on my wife's computer this morning.

Have Norton installed.

Have not been able to even open Firefox this morning. In the crash report window, I hit "Restart Firefox" and I get another crash report.

I have re-started the computer 5 times, uninstalled and re-installed once, AND I have disabled freecorder 5, removed the tool bar, and none of it works! Won't even open in Safe Mode!

Firefox crash report appears when i try to open firefox and unable to open firefox. I have been through the help pages and uninstalled and reinstalled as instructed but still no joy. I have uninstalled any program recently added that may have cause the crash but still no luck. i am now following the recommendation to ask for help! Firefox is crashing upon opening. I also tried to open it in safe mode, same result. It won't open at all. Mozilla Crash Reporter pops right up saying "We're Sorry..." I've downloaded a fresh copy, and tried installing it over the original (not terribly out of date, maybe v. 39 or so? on Windows 7) but still crashes and doesn't open.

Firefox keeps crashing every time I try to open it. It just goes straight to crash report. This is my latest Crash ID: bp-1c92db03-24b5-46ec-b0b7-4899e2150924. It won't open in safe mode. The profile manager won't open. They both just go straight to crash report. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I've tried scanning for viruses using Norton, Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Firefox 41 keeps on crashing upon start-up.

I suspect it is due to the Skype add-on, Skype Browser Helper, as before I disabled that add-on on Internet Explorer 9, I could not use the Internet Explorer. However I do not know how to disable that in Forefire when I can't open & access Firefox.

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I keep getting a crash report every time I click on firefox. The actual browser won't even pop up just a message saying "Mozilla Crash report" "We're sorry we will try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts" but it never restarts! I've checked for spyware/malware/viruses and have quarantined whatever was affecting my computer and still nothing. Firefox crashes on startup. Crash still occurs when starting in Safe Mode.

I can not add the info requested in the "Automatically Add" step since this is a firefox add-on and firefox won't open!

On March 23 my copy of Firefox crashed. Since then it crashes every time it opens. I have read many suggestions for uninstalling, reinstalling, safe-mode, scanning for malware and other methods. None have changed the behavior. Even after multiple restarts, uninstalls, etc, every start goes immediately to the crash reporter. No pause or delay. I can start in safe mode (shift key), which does show in the crash report - but the crash reporter pops up just as fast.

All other browsers work properly - only Firefox fails to start.
