There is no indication of progress while a webpage is downloading. I'm looking for something like the rotating hour glass, or a rotating circle of dots. Only when the process is done do we get the page's icon on the tab. As it is, I never know if my request to open a webpage is working or if the computer has locked up. It must have changed with the latest update because, although I can't remember exactly how Firefox previously indicated loading in progress, I instantly noticed the LACK of it as soon as I booted up the newest version.

Thank you.

Any ideas?

My old PC died, luckily, I had a new (secondhand) one ready to go.

I am using a pre-quantum version of Firefox.

Where can I get legacy versions of extensions that I need?

Yes, they've all been updated and maintained, but, there are several whose functions are severaly depreciated - including one where I would now have to actually PAY MONEY to do what I used to be able to do with ease on the legacy version.

Urgently seeking legacy versions that all worked fine before my old PC hit the dust last week.

I asked this previously on Twitter and after the fixes suggested didn't work (at least not permanently), support on Twitter sent me here. (Would have been nice for you to determine the appropriate forum and topic rather than me having to do it, by the way, "AT").

I am still getting a dragging slow Firefox using what seems like an inordinate amount of memory (though I could be wrong, check the images). My first message to support included the first image with the comment: "Yes, I've already refreshed Firefox. Yes, I've cleared my cache. Yes, I've removed all of my extensions/add-ons, though I need them back now." I then followed the instructions to try "disabling Firefox Hardware Acceleration and deleting content-prefs.sqlite".

Deleting sqlite and disabling FHA seemed to work for a while but a) is there a script I can run to auto-delete the content-prefs.sqlite daily so I can depend on your browser. And more pressing, b)second image memory usage.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Viewing a national newspaper site today, Firefox popped up an odd message Continue to installation of Flash player. It then loads (tries) https://performintenselyquickapplication.icu and an ID string. I think I can run Flash already on my browser so why do I have to do this?

The URL worries me, it may be genuine but would like confirmation it is. As mentioned I can already see/use Flash so why the message?

Search for https://performintenselyquickapplication.icu returns nothing other than an Alexa position. Thanks in advance. McP/

Hello. I am having the same issue as another user, but they flagged their question as solved so I'm making a new one just in case.

I can't login properly to YouTube, only in Firefox, even after clearing cache and cookies and disabling add-ons/running safe mode. I can login to my Google account, view my playlists and recommended videos (although the main page with recommendations only shows 5 lines of videos and when scrolling further is not loading). I can't make any edits, for example add videos to the "Watch Later" playlist, that require a login. When I click login, Google shows the 405 error "The request method GET is inappropriate for the URL /youtubei/v1/browse/edit_playlist. That’s all we know." or with other URL, depending on the action taken.

What can I do? Thank you.

Dear community,

I would like to bring up a topic that is DRIVING ME CRAZY. I am developer and frequently access my own services on unsecured http servers for testing. Spin up a new docker container, test it, tear it down. No SSL required, no time to mess with encryption.

But if you type in https just a single time for your http server, you are f*#&ed. Sorry for the wording, but this is how it is. You think "OH NO, WHAT DID I DO? NOT AGAIN!!!" Because it is just impossible to access the service with http in the future, Firefox has it locked to SSL (Domain and Port). But of course there is no SSL so it will NEVER work.

Latest example: JetBrains TeamCity. They have a simple Docker container I want to access with Firefox. I spin it up, connect with Firefox with http and it immediately tells me "Secure Connection Failed". WHAT? WHY? I typed http. Why secure? Why can't I simply connect? Using curl on CLI just gives me a beautiful HTML response.

I understand that for the majority of users SSL is a good thing. But shouldn't there at least be an OPTION to disable all this enforced SSL usage? My beloved Firefox is my everyday productivity killer. It makes me sad.

I cannot work out what is blocking the video content.

Good day!

Today I have opened Mozilla Firefox as usual and for some reason, everything was gone, by everything I mean EVERYTHING, no logins, no passwords saved, no bookmarks (I had probably around a thousand of them) no search history, nothing, I was trying to restore my previous session (with more than 100 tabs open... yeah I know) and nothing happened. For some reason the starting page was Yahoo instead of my normal Google search page... but I don't think it was that typical virus that replace everything with Yahoo and makes it impossible to change it back, because I was actually able to change the starting page back to google without any problems and my Malwarebytes didn't detect anything, so I am absolutely baffled as to what happened. I was trying the sync service but it doesn't work at all, nothing is restored. It's almost like someone broke into my account synced with everything and then erased it all from the server... is it even possible? Or could something overwrote or replace the Mozilla Firefox files on my computer? Where should I look for my original files, settings, saves, etc. on my computer, maybe something has been saved? Maybe I can find something? Please help, it is really painful to lose thousands of websites that I had saved and organized in many different bookmarks and folders.

Kind regards, Simon
