Web pages are loading painfully slowly, 11-34 seconds, some never load before timing out. Other browser (Edge) is loading pages quickly. Internet connection reasonably fast (35.7 Mbps). I tried the following:

  - Safe Mode, no change.
  - Refreshed Firefox, no change.
  - Disabled Antivirus and Firewall, no change.
  - Disabled Network Proxy, no change.
  - Content Process Limit set at 8.
  - Firefox is using 550 MB of memory (out of 10.2 GB)

There are instances when Firefox does load pages quickly, but they are increasingly infrequent and not predictable.

For some time now - two or three weeks - I experience R_END_OF_FILE_ERROR on many websites. It is only under Firefox. And not on all sites. One example is coronavirus.bg. I can't open it under Firefox. I use Firefox v.75 on Windows 7. I tried:

  • checking TLS settings - screenshot attached. Seems fine.
  • clearing the cache; didn't help.
  • turning network.dns.disableIPv6 to 'true'; didn't help.
  • turning network.dns.disablePrefetch to 'true'; didn't help.
  • restarting Firefox with add-ons disabled; didn't help.
  • scanning for malware; Malwarebytes didn't find any.

I am also attaching my browser test results from ssllabs.com.

I honestly don't know what to do and what is the issue. Please advise.

Description of the problem is as follows: 1) I start a presentation on Google Meet 2) I choose to present one of my open windows (*not* entire screen) 3) window is being presented, just fine, 4) If I *minimize* the window being presented, the tab crashes. 5) the problem does not occur if I present the entire screen, rather it has to do with the window being presented becoming minimized.

Win10/drivers/Firefox all up to date - problem persists even in Firefox's Safe Mode.

Overnight it seems that Firefox is no longer reading my old saved logins and passwords. I have checked to see that the logins.json and key4.db files are present, but the new Lockwise page shows nothing. When I look at the about:protections page, it shows that I still have 400+ logins and passwords protected. I tried to make a new profile and import backup data and Firefox still does not see the saved logins and passwords in the new profile. Any ideas on what is causing this behavior? I have so many accounts, and would like to get this functionality working again.

Recently Firefox has become nearly unusable. Opening links are *_sluggish_*... They eventually complete but it's annoying - I've switched back to brave for now. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1175357 seems to be the exact same issue however nothing in the thread resolved my problem.

I'd like to stay with Firefox but it's not worth it at this time. :(

Any thoughts/help are much appreciated.

Recently I've begun getting a few emails a week from Firefox. When I follow the link to unsubscribe, I'm prompted to log into my account. When I log in, I'm prompted to confirm my account via a verification link sent via email. However, that email to my iCloud account never arrives. I've tried repeatedly to have it resent without success. I've had a case escalated via Apple support up to their engineering department, and they say the email isn't getting filtered by them but in fact never reaches their servers, so there's nothing they can do. So now I'm stuck on this mailing list because I can't access my account. Blocking me from leaving the list seems illegal per the CAN-SPAM act. Even being able to log in here seems short-lived, since it appears that tomorrow (16 March) my Mozilla support account will be merged into that same Firefox account that I can't access. Unbelievable, really.

The irony isn't lost on me: I can't stop getting email from Firefox because I'm not getting the verification email from Firefox. I see the dark humor, but this is a problem that needs to be resolved. I don't know where else to turn for help, so hoping someone here can provide some guidance. The real ask here is not to just get off the mailing list (I could set up a filter to automatically delete it, though I shouldn't have to do that) but instead to be able to receive the email to verify my account or, barring that, get help changing the email address on the existing account to one that can actually receive the email, e.g. my Gmail account.

My logins.json file is still there and I can open it in Notepad but everything is encrypted!!! Also, it says I don’t have a Master Password anymore, but I never cleared it! And when I go to change it I get a “unable to change” error!!! I also can’t save any new logins, no logins can be saved now!! I’ve searched google for hours and tried everything but nothing works!! And no, I don’t have the “logins.json.corrupted” file everyone mentions on other threads for this issue, my file is still logins.json!

Please help me!!!!!!

Hi. I use Firefox from many years. Today I was trying to inspect a my web page which looks strange in my Firefox for Android but I just can't. In my desktop I have Firefox 73.0.1 and in my Android phone I have Firefox 68.5.0. If I try to connect I get a message which tells to update Firefox from 68.5 to 71.0 (minimum supported version) but I can't find this version anywhere. I have installed Firefox Nightly for Developer in my phone but now the problem is that the version is too recent... What should I do?

   } // form present
   else
       alert("nominalIndex.js:update: cannot find form");

} // function update ```

When I put alerts into nameOnKeyDown and update I see that nameOnKeyDown is called but update is never called.

You can see the above code in action at https://www.jamescobban.net/FamilyTree/nominalIndex.php?name=allenby,%20a&treename=&lang=en

This code has worked for over 10 years, and still is working today on Chrome, but the timer never pops on Firefox 73.0 on Ubuntu Linux 19.10.

I tried downloading an older version of firefox and got the same results. Now I'm back on the most up to date version and I can't seem to access any options or account features, ie nothing happens when I click on the bookmarks, account or menu buttons in the corner. I submitted the crash reports, but now it won't even take me to any page if I try to put a url or about:crashes in. It doesn't show the crash page either. What do I do???

For security reasons, all new FF distributions are tested. When checking the distribution kit version 68.5.0esr (exe for x86 and x64) - the antivirus software "VirusTotal" detected Trojan.Inject.bcbj. While using Ubuntu 18.04.03 LTS and FF 71 When I go to www.Pluto.tv a free TV site and leave it running for about 40 minutes or more the message " a script on this page may be busy" this always happens both on Ubuntu and another Linux system. this problem does not occur on my Mac OS. the problem when left alone the CPU goes very high on the Linux system preventing any usefull usage of FF until it is closed and reopened.

The message that pops up suggests FF is interuppting something incorrectly. Anyone with a suggestion to stop this problem? Keeping in mind FF plays with no flawas for more than 40 minutes

Long running scripts have been a constance daily occurrence every time I use my desktop computer since seems like forever. This is the latest one: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-base-view.xml:198..... Not sure if they are all calendar scripts because I'm not always given any script info, just a non responding error message sometimes. I asked for help once before and tried what was suggested, as best I could, but I still have the aggravating problem just as often as ever. However, admittedly I'm not all that computer savy and am more of a user than I am a fixer. My browser is up-to-date and I also reloaded a new one recently. Add-ons are also disabled. Any help at all will be appreciated, thanks.
