Hi,

after an update Firefox doesn't list Fonts I used to use on all websites.

Firefox: 83.0 MacOs 10.13.6

Usually the fonts are installed under /Users/myUser/Library/Fonts and FF respected those and I was able to choose them from the drop down list. I already tried to install the fonts system-wide (/Library/Fonts) but still no luck, which is unfortunate, because I am dyslexic and those fonts actually make a huge difference for me. FontBook lists them perfectly.

Currently on Firefox 83.0 Windows. This specific problem started about 2 versions ago. I thought for certain it would be fixed in a release but has not. It is serious enough that after decades of Firefox I am considering moving on. Situation: When scanning a long site like Feedly, I use the middle button to set auto scroll and start scrolling down, speeding up / slowing down as needed. Previous behavior: When an article appears interesting, I would Left Click the mouse to cancel auto scroll, move the cursor to the article link, click on the article to read. Simple. Problem: When Left Clicking to stop the scroll, Firefox positions the web page much further down the page requiring manual scrolling back to find the article. A SERIOUS usability killer! Testing: Testing in IE 11 and the new Chromium Edge shows correct behavior. Solution: Please restore Previous behavior as described. Priority: Very important

I use meet.google.com for school online classes and this past week there are issues with screen / camera sharing. in the first place everything is fine but after a few seconds the image, whether the camera is sharing the screen, the image in question is displayed on the screen zoomed in to the top left. To understand, we see from this: https://ibb.co/xfrDzGK to this: https://ibb.co/y0jtpDL I think it is a Firefox problem because I tried to use other browsers and it works perfectly.

Hi Everyone,

I cannot access my Firefox account created with 1 of 2 email addresses I use, I'll call this emailA, and do not have Firefox in an Authenticator app nor can I find the recovery code. The account did have a secondary email address listed. I'll call this emailB. EmailB also gets all alerts when there are changes to the EmailA firefox account such as new system logins and password changes.

Given that emailb gets notifications regarding the account is there a way for me to gain access to the account with emailA as the primary address using emailB?

Failing that, is there support who I can contact to have the account under emailA deleted?

Regards,

Chris

A few pages have scrambled printer fonts, not all. Tried troubleshooting with Reset Firefox printer setting and Reset all Firefox printer settings not even thinking about a refresh!

How to I clear the parameters that determine how the printer fonts are controlled. Seems like something is corrupted. Does not scramble most pages. Simplify Pages prints the same page correctly. Same pages print fine in Edge. document attached on how firefox prints the page and how edge prints the same page. Can't be the printer driver.

Why does Firefox delete ALL history when it asks if you'd like to clear RECENT history. I was silly enough to click on a phishing link and although I exited as soon as I realised nothing was happening, I asked my security system provider if there was anything I could or should do. Could I login to my bank account, for instance. They suggested removing the item from my browser history. So when I saw the option to delete RECENT history, I thought that would be OK - I didn't need anything I had visited recently. But when I looked I noticed that it had cleared the lot!!

Hi,

About 2 weeks ago or so, I started having issues with Youtube on Firefox. It's difficult to explain, but basically, I'll sign on to Youtube. Youtube will show my profile with all my video recommendations and subscriptions. But, if I click the red Youtube home button on the top left of the page to refresh the site or click a different video, Youtube signs me out and shows me the homepage as if I was signed out or did not have an account. When I do sign back in again, my video recommendations are all messed up (they are mostly the general video recommendations from the unsigned in home page and nothing related to the channels or videos that I watch). When I go to my subscriptions, I have to sign in again. It's becoming really frustrating. I did a full uninstall of Firefox, and it briefly worked, but then Youtube went back to the way it's been behaving. I've cleared my history and cache. I've disabled all extensions. I've logged in and out. Nothing seems to work. Youtube does seem to work normally on Chrome and Edge, and I have not had any issues with any other websites on Firefox. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or have any advice?

I really enjoy using Firefox, and since everything else seems to work, I'd prefer to keep using it. I really don't want to have to resort to using Chrome or Edge to watch Youtube videos.

I'm running Firefox version 83.0 (64bit) on Windows 10

Hello... I'm using the latest version of Firefox and the latest version of Windows 10 ... I'm curious when I do the following with the browser, click History, select from Clear Recent History, have it set for Everything and have all the boxes checked, how is it when I visit a certain website it still show me log into there website? I thought if I delete the everything( cookies, cache ) this wouldn't be the case. Is there a way for the browser to be completely clean from all? thanks

For the last few versions of Firefox (up to date on Windows 10 64-bit) the file upload window always opens full screen, and cannot be resized. This is annoying! AND can be totally disfunctional when another bug in Windows leaves an artifact popup in the lower right of my screen that covers the upload window action buttons (Open & Cancel).

I used to get a more normal file chooser window that could be resized...

Just recently I noticed that Firefox 83.0 is no longer retaining my viewer settings in YouTube. Specifically the theater mode and autoplay settings. I can set it to theater mode, and turn off autoplay, and the next time I start Firefox, they are back to their defaults (autoplay on, compact viewer). At first I thought it was a YouTube issue but have tried it on Chrome and Chromium and both browsers save my settings. I'm running ArcoLinux 5.9.10 with I3 WM on both my desktop and laptop. I have both reset and re-installed FF with no change.

Not sure why this page deleted my question while trying to share data but I'll start again.

I'm getting Malwarebyte alerts from something in firefox.exe, it's called restoro. It's not a program that's in my control panel so I can't delete it. It was quarantined but seconds later it was trying again. I included an image of the last scan done Nov. 28. I've deleted firefox before but it came back when I installed again. Is it something that firefox is supposed to have or is it some trojan that's latched onto firefox?

I am using Firefox 83.0 64-bit on a Windows laptop.

I was hoping to prototype some website code locally (using the Windows directories) prior to testing with a proper website.

I have been unable to get sessionStorage (or localStorage) to pass variables to another page unless they're in the same Windows directory. For instance, if I create 2 very simple and cut-down test files: Test1.html and Test2.html, that contain the following JavaScript:

Test1.html window.sessionStorage.setItem ("html", element.innerHTML); alert ("posting " + window.sessionStorage.getItem ("html")); window.open ("Test2.html", "_self");

Test2.html var html=window.sessionStorage.getItem ("html"); alert ("received " + html);

then it works if the two files are in the same directory. But if Test2 is in a subdirectory, and I change the open call to:

window.open (".\\subdir\\Test2.html", "_self");

then it receives null instead of the HTML that Test1 is sending. I am guessing that there is some code that is treating the change of directory as a cross-origin issue, even though they're under the same root directory.

I appreciate that the specification may be a bit vague in this non-Web situation, but Chrome does what I would expect. I thought someone might want to take a look to check if this was an oversight or deliberate.
