Hello those wiser than me, When my Firefox 110 goes inactive by clicking elsewhere, the only change is that selected elements temporarily de-select and the scrollbar thumb turns color to one almost the same as the track, making it nearly invisible. Is there any way to keep it the same (much darker grey) when it is not the active window with the focus? There are a few themes that don't exhibit this behavior, but I could not find a dark one. My search on the subject yields only webpage design talk or obsolete pre v78 add-ons.

I'm on Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon with FF's built-in dark system theme. Thanks in advance.

Firefox stopped working on my laptop after I uninstalled office365. I have reinstalled office, but firefox still not working. It is working on my phone and an old laptop. What are my options? Nothing happens wen I click on the 3 bars, history, settings, etc. Need help, thanks.

I have made a few attempts in the past hour to change my email address BUT there is no option to do so ("edit" or change") on the change page. How do I go about making the change; I currently use rossgudgel85@gmail.com. I want to change my email to: ross7hatch@proton.me. Thank you! Ross Gudgel

Youtube has this issue the most. On any other browser YouTube works fine; however, on firefox, videos sutter, play at a very low FPS and if I try to interact with the page like pause the video, it takes somewhere between 5 to 20 seconds for the site to respond and actually pause the video.

This happens on other websites as well that have interactive features

Additionally, when on sites like discord or LinkedIn, if a video starts playing and I pause it the audio will continue playing and loop and overlap over itself. The only way it will stop is if I refresh the site.

I have tried updating my video drivers, reinstalling them, changing all the settings possible on my computer to make it work but nothing yet. Thanks for the help.

Since the days of Go Corp.'s PenPoint and Windows for Pen Computing, I have been accustomed to select text by just dragging the stylus --- that no longer works --- for some reason the stylus has now been dumbed down to be an 11th touch input which scrolls.

Why?

How can I get back the far more expressive behavour of drag-select text with a stylus and using touch when I wish to scroll?

As an FYI, I handed a stylus and my Samsung Galaxy Book 12 (running Windows Build 1703 which predates this change) to a technician at the local Best Buy and they had no problem selecting text --- when I challenged them to select text on a Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 running Windows 11 using the stylus they were unable to to.

Could we please have an option to restore the traditional behaviour?

isn't directly available in Windows 11, and the equivalent setting:

Settings | Bluetooth & Devices | Pen & Windows Ink | Additional Pen Settings | Let me use my pen as a mouse when it's available

doesn't seem to work when it is enabled.

Since past few years, I use Firefox for the peace of mind... But never get that.

Every now and then many sites are not supported properly.... And it severely gives now headache....

Thinking to switch to New Web Browser....

Problematic Sites are tons of tons... Here are a few...

1. pCloud 2. Mega 3. Digiboxx 4. OrgPad 5. PhotoADKing 6. Animaker 7. Powtoon 8. SBI ....etc.

Please somebody help reach this message to original developers and not community... I'm fed up of this.

Many developers also fed up of Mozilla... and stay away from updating add-ons or extensions... I literally felt helpless many times...

Firefox quit working. when I click on the Icon on my computer desktop I get the following pop-up window. Windows cannot find ‘C:\Program Files\Mozilla FirefoxFirefox.exe’

When I click on the Icon in my taskbar I get this pop-up window . Windows cannot find ‘C:\Users\hgmv8\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\Taskbar\Firefox.Ink’ Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

I have downloaded the latest version of Firefox but still get the error messages

In the last 4 days Firefox is constantly freezing on the Tile Pages of multiple streaming sites. It becomes non-responsive, and won't let me reload or use the Home button. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration and clearing the cache and I still have the same issue.

Cannot enter URL in the address book. When I hit return nothing happens. This happens even with no extensions installed, however, it works in a private window.

I have an mid 2007 IMac running El Capitan 10.11.6 I replaced my old Firefox version with a newer incompatible one and now I can’t recover the old version of Firefox. All my bookmarks and saved data was on that older version. Can anyone help me find the most current version of Firefox for my Mac? Thanks!

I have having alot of trouble. I am unable to get Netflix to work in Normal mode of firefox. It will work in trouble shoot but not in reg mode. The page will not load all the way and than it locks up . I have done every suggestion that i have found and yet it still will not load and work. I have been trying to fix this problem for a week now. I have uninstalled and re installed 3 times now. and yet it still will not work. I have now gone to Edge to watch Netflix.

When DNS over HTTPS is not enabled in Firefox and I set network.dnsCacheExpiration to 600 seconds, evidence from about:networking#dns shows that the minimum DNS cache expiration time is indeed 600 seconds. However, when I enable DNS over HTTPS and set network.dnsCacheExpiration to 600 seconds, the network.dnsCacheExpiration setting seems to be ignored. New DNS cache entries are able to have far less than 600 seconds to expiry. Why is network.dnsCacheExpiration ignored when DNS over HTTPS is enabled? Could this be a bug in Firefox?

In Settings → Privacy & Security → History → Settings..., I have enabled the automatic clearing of "Site settings" when Firefox closes. However, the clearing of all site settings causes the clearing of all my HTTPS certificate error exceptions (Settings → Privacy & Security → Certificates → View Certificates... → Servers). Is there a way to make some exceptions for the clearing of site settings? I would like the site settings of a few websites to be preserved, while deleting the site settings of all other sites.

In about:config, I see two settings for controlling the minimum amount of time for DNS cache expiration: network.dnsCacheExpiration and network.dnsCacheExpirationGracePeriod. What is the difference between them? They are both set to 60 seconds by default.

Recently converted to Firefox.

I routinely receive images from one sender that has a banner that renders two to three times the screen width no matter the screen size.

This issue doesn't occur on the Gmail Mobile app only while viewing Gmail on Firefox (The issue is not resident in Chrome).

way to limit the size of embedded / inline images when logged into gmail on Firefox?
