Out of the blue all my bookmarks and passwords disappeared, When I follow your instructions there are no backups in your files. Toolbar is missing and right clicking shows a check mark but no toolbar, I have already switched to Chrome and guess what they have all my bookmarks but no passwords. Passwords are no problem I saved them more so than you backed up your files. I guess it was an update, I don't know. I am 85 years old and have used Firefox a number of those years, probably longer than whoever reads this has has been with us.I guess you know which path I'll be taking from now on. Just thought I would let you know. PS and there will not be anymore automatic updating I'll do it myself I trust me. Stick a fork in me I'm done !

I worked with a tech support team to update software on my computer. After the update they did a clean up on my computer today and I lost all of my firefox passwords. How can I recover these passwords?

Updated and lost everything in my browser and now is complete crap, no bookmarks, and it install google as a search engine that doesn't work. Can you help me rollback to the version that worked just fine? Searched help and didn't find a way to resolve problem.

This isn't exactly something that is broken but it is something that is plenty weird and I wondered if anyone has an idea how it happens.

I shut down my Linux laptop one day and when I started it the next day, all my tabs were gone. Annoying, but I spent some time searching for the most important ones and got on with my life.

We have a class picture book that is only accessible by faculty from campus or using the secure VPN. It helps us to learn people's names. It is an HTML file. One day, I needed to look someone up. Ordinarily that would open a new tab in the browser I have running, but it didn't. A whole new Firefox appeared for it and there were all my lost tabs.

Wut?

Now I can use the picture book to alternate between my old tabs and my new ones. How on Earth can this happen? It isn't exactly something that is broken, just something I don't understand.

So i restarted macbook and when i opened Firefox, my bookmarks were all gone. i read the text about how to restore them but it didnt work and i really need those bookmarks. also i cant add bookmarks, its just not working. hopefully you'll help me with my question, thabk you.

Firefox deleted many folders in my bookmarks file. Then, trying to straighten this out, Firefox has completely changed its home page layout and I can not manage it even in the simplest way. I want to restore everything to how it was two or three days ago.
