I have just freshly installed a windows 7 on my computer which I have some old programs which won't run on windows 10. I am trying to download firefox with windows explorer which comes with windows 7. It seems I can not download anything. I try to download the firefox I get a message, The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid. I downloaded once the firefox installer but in the middle of the installation I get a message OOPs something went wrong and it won't install. what is going on?

Hello, I am still using windows 8.1 64bit & refuse windows 10, due to high risk privacy, yes predictable hollow words are said, BUT is Microsoft, a greedy un-scrupled money making, money hungry corporate entity, wants us to willing give it our private details voluntarily or under thin layer of extortion.

Hence my sticking to windows 8.1 as I have certain control, mainly updates.

Will Mozilla browsers be specifically supporting older operating systems like windows 8.1 into the coming years, not just months, e.g. until January 2023

Yes is a blunt question, but is eluded against in other responses, maybe is Microsoft buy out to sacrifice mozilla loyal users or similar, same query is for Brave browser. Mozilla I think is last Bastian for decency & morality, a leader in justice & honour.

I tried importing passwords from Chrome, but the Chrome browser on this machine doesn't actually contain any passwords. Do I need to sync the two on another machine, or is it possible to import from Google Password Manager instead of Chrome?

I'm looking for a direct link to download an older version of Firefox for OS 10.11.6. I'm not familiar with computer language, so link must be to a site that says click here to download, and not to a site that has computer language links.

Hello everyone I re-install my win7 recently. I can get the firefox browser installed whitout any errors but it doesn't open. However I can see it's open in task manager in processes tab. what would be the problem? please advise

Been desperately trying to get Firefox to run on my Acer Chromebook 315 through Linux. The app store version just isn't cutting it. I followed these instructions below as best as I could installing linux and flatpack. I even ran a power wash and tried again.

The icon comes up in my dash, but is gray and endlessly loading. Not sure what else I can do. I'm pretty my system is compatible. Is there another way? Am I missing something?

I would like to download and install the older version of Firefox. This I believe that version is 93 for Mac OS.

Version 102 to is just released (28 June 2022). I do not want to install this new version until it was proven over the next few months.

Please advise how to get the Version 93

Lately when I attempt to download any pdf file I get the 'file name'.pdf with 'failed' as the result (when I check the Download icon on the FF status bar). I looked in my download directory and I found these 'failed' .pdf files with 0 KB and also some files (same name).pdf.part. I changed the file extension (deleted .part) to .pdf and the files would open in Acrobat. Nobody likes inconsistent problems, but occasionally a pdf will download normally!! But it fails more than it works. Using FF 102.0 (64-bit)

this is the 2nd time I asked this question. I downloaded firefox browser onto my chrome book then I clicked on the box saying "download complete." Then another box pops up saying "this file is not supported. Please go to chrome web store and find one there that can open this app." So which app/file in chrome web store will help me get firefox on this chromebook laptop computer permanently. I've already downloaded firefox on this computer at least a dozen times and I get the same result. NOTHING in return from this support team.

I have 3 PCs with Firefox. The bookmarks and bookmarks toolbars were all synced but one machine required re-installation, and now I have a fresh Firefox and have forgotten how to import the bookmarks and bookmarks toolbars. I don't seem to have any password for Firefox sync and I can't find where and how to import the bookmarks. Can anyone help?

When downloading a file, I use to get a pop-up box that asked me if i wanted to open it or save it, and there was a box that said "don't ask me this again. I accidentally checked that box. Now every time I click on a file it asks me where I want to save it but it won't let me open it to view it first. How do get it back to the way it was?

I have tried changing my download options, I've tried re-setting the browser options. Nothing works. There has to be a way to get back to where is asks "where would you like to save" AND gives me the option to click a radial button to Open the file and view it before saving it.

I am running Unix Ubuntu 22.04 with Firefox 104.0.01 (64 bit). My Canon LBP 6230DW works fine in my word processor and in Chrome, but it does not show up in the Printer destination field when I am in Firefox. The only print option is to "Save as PDF." How do I get the Canon to be a print destination in Firefox?
