I want Protonmail as my default mail for Firefox. Windows 11 allows me to install Protonmail as an application. I cannot find or use that application in order to use my Protonmail email as my 'mailto' option in Firefox. Why does Firefox not allow this? Why can't Firefox find and suggest the Windows 11 Protonmail app in its list of suggestions under 'mailto' options?

After experiencing some problems (saved tabs being empty, menus gone etc.) I read about restarting into troubleshoot mode ("Help"-"Troubleshoot mode" menu) which solved those problems (I believe "Troubleshoot mode" might be the same as "Refreshing" Firefox, from what I've read -correct me if I'm wrong) . I'm on Firefox 98.0.2 on a Mac.

Following that I quit Firefox and opened it again the normal way which I assume means it went into the normal mode as before, but I realized all my extensions were gone! Reading through some older postings I see they're in a profile named "legacy_BAK.profile", and in addition I have recent Time Machine backups, so any files aren't lost, but I guess the simplest way to fix this is to re-install my extensions -but most extensions (inside the "extensions" folder within the profile folder) only have a cryptic numbered name with and .XPI extension. So how can I find out which extensions I used to have, and better yet -is there a quick way to just install everything back again with a single click (installing it from the legacy profile folder, or just moving something over to the new folder etc.)?

The addons on Firefox aren't showing up in the toolbar, even though it says that its enabled in the settings page. The only addon showing up is uBlock Origin, nothing else appears on the toolbar. This started only recently, I'm on Firefox 98.0.2 (64 bit).

Hello, I just bought a new laptop, and am trying to sync my firefox account.

The new laptop wouldn't accept my password. So I changed it to a new one.

It doesn't accept the new password either. And now it seems like firefox isn't allowing me to logout of my account either. What is going on with the passwords? I can't afford to reset everything and lose all of my data and log ins. They have been generated by firefox and are all randomly alfanumeric.

What am I to do?

Hi , My main machine is a personal windows laptop. Firefox sync works fine and syncs all things including "all" my installed extensions . recently company issues me a macbook and on it when i install firefox and login my account for sync it syncs other things like bookmarks but does not sync all my extensions only a few of them.

I already tried multiple things like sync delibrately from windows and then pressing sync on mac or reinstalling firefox on mac . but its the same issue.

The new Firefox print app controls have a default of print ALL. To print a specific number of pages requires three steps: clicking on the drop down, selecting Custom, and then entering the desired pages to print. This setup for pages to print is too time-consuming and not ecological either, in that users may often rely on the default and print all the pages when they are not needed or wanted. ''''What might be better is to place just to the right of ALL a box for entering the selected pages to print, eg. 2-3. ' Entering numbers into this box automatically deselects ALL, as it does on the Windows 10 system app. This way users could immediately enter the desired pages to print. If no page numbers are entered, then the default is ALL. This approach saves time and reduces waste of ink and toner. If ODD and EVEN options must be retained, then retain the Custom drop down, but put the box for selected pages just to the right of ALL for immediate entry of chosen page numbers. I cannot clear this cache to zero no matter what I try. How can I clear this cache. It just started happening after a recent update. I clean my caches after every use but not any longer.

Amazon "Returns & Orders" page will not load... Mac/Firefox computer even it trouble shoot mode. Page just continues to partially load and repeats until I stop it.

I'm no longer able to a particular website: https://www. bdo.com.ph onFfirefox. However, I'm still able to do so on other browsers, specifically Chrome and Edge.

The error message I receive is:

Hi, when I had cleaned out all my bookmarjks duplicates (and they were many 50.000 accumulated through the years)on my Linuxmachine and turned on my Windows 10 machine they were all back. So my question is: what data is saved when syncing with Firefox sync? And I dont mean the different types you can choose between ,no I mean: when I change one thing on onea logged in firefox on one machine doesnt that change the status of, and in my example the bookmarks on the other machines? Or is it the other way around, namely: will the second machine with all the duplicate bookmarks change the sync-"base" so they will be back on all other machines again? Very confusing especially if youre logged into moire machine then one at the same time. Please answer me, I really need to clean up my firefox's accumulated duplicates pretty quick. Sincerely Wal

When I do a search using google, and then click on a choice (one of the first sites listed) my browser tries to go to something called "googleadservices" and it will not load. Just hangs up and gives me a blank page. How do I stop this or remove googleadservices?

I downloaded a large filed in my Firefox Browser and it took me 2 days to download the file but when it's almost done, it suddenly failed download. Can you help me resume the download? I think it stopped around 60 gig.
