Hello! I'm trying to download a quantity of audio files from a specific website. Once I open firefox, I can manage to download a few in that session - anywhere from 1 to 10 usually. Then, at some point, the downloads start to hang. They appear as how they do when they're loading - "Unknown time left - 0 bytes (0 bytes/sec)". However, they never load. The only solution is to restart Firefox, to be able to download a few more.

I'm on Linux mint, Firefox version 137.0.2 (64-bit). I tried running firefox through the terminal to see if anything would show up when the downloads stop working, and I got this:

And a lot of "ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment." - but those seem to happen all the time during regular usage.

Any way I can go about troubleshooting this, or am I stuck with restarting Firefox every few files I need to download? Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

Well I've been chasing this problem for about a year. Things I have done. 1) reinstalled firefox 2)reinstalled windows 3)attempt to remove the ImportEnterpriseRoots flag via Regedit. (Mozilla does not even appear in in the policies folder) I Suspect this has something to do with having logged into my firefox account on a shared work computer, and the sysadmins subsequently removing the ability to use personal firefox accounts on these computers, to the point of not even being able to logout of the account.

It just keeps coming back. I only have MS Defender for security so I don't think its security software causing it, and I do not believe a virus/rootkit would survive several formats and reinstalls.

I pin a bunch of pages to the home page for easy access, as it allows. But for a few days, i am unable to see the "+" symbol which lets you add pages to the rows, even when there is space in the rows.

Roboform doesn't show up in the toolbar and it doesn't pop up to suggest passwords. Video download helper doesn't show up in toolbar. This all started after the latest update. Thanks Bob

It seems like after an update I cant connect firefox to my plex server I did a browser clear and it worked temporally but it started again. But it will connect if i use Safari Please advise Seems to be a Http Https issue

I love the pinned tabs feature. However, when I pin tabs, any more than 5 won't show up on the contracted sidebar. In the example I've uploaded, t here are 8 pinned tabs, viewable in the expanded sidebar as icons four in a row across the top. The second image shows the same window contracted, with only five of the 8 pinned tabs visible. The others are still there, but I can't see/access them without re-opening the sidebar. How do I get Firefox to show all the pinned tabs in the contracted view?

My issue is that if I access the upper right corner of the screen, titled "Open Application Menu" and go to Settings I'm told my Browser is not the default AFTER THE PROCESS OF JUST MAKING IT THE DEFAULT.

It seems there is an effort to try and drive all of us nuts. This never happened before, and if it continues it will be the end of electronic communications (which it is suspected is the plan by those who engage in violence to achieve their objectives).

What I came here for was to have my settings, after the process (done many times previously) show a response in Settings that, "Yes" my browser (Firefox) is the default, which it did for a time today. Obviously there is no persistence.

When I got help on this issue previously, my response was I already tried that, and it didn't work. There used to be a lot of different browsers. Now I haven't come across any of them currently. Some are having great success in seeing to it that only their browser will survive. That seems like a "gangland" type of mentality to me.link text I believe I spent enough of my time on this issue and explained it in detail. There's really nothing else I can "contribute".

I, by the way, went to my Internet provider today who found an email under Preferences that she said had the capability to steel my emails. It had an extension in Australia (*.AU). If that has anything to do with this problem I'd like to buy a pair of handcuffs to see if that individual(s) being constrained from using a PC keyboard is a cure for this problem.

KINDLY KEEP BROWSER ACTIVE AFTER SWITHCHING OFF THE PC AND WHENEVER I OPEN THE PC MICROSOFT WINDOWS SHOWING SIGN OUT AND SIGNING AGAIN, BY DOING I DID IT BUT NO SOLUTION. IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FROM FEW DAYS, I DID SYSTEM RESTORE BUT NO SOLUTION WAS FOUND.

Hi! I have been using youtube and all of a sudden, without me restarting firefox I'm loading a video and it shows this blank screen in place of the reader. The shortcut for full screen mode is not working and other shortcuts don't do much. I've tried some options like disabling every add-ons including Ublock origin and restarting, also disabled hardware acceleration and restarted, checking for firefox updates, and I think that's all I came up with. I tried to do researches online but couldn't find something that looked exactly like my problem. I still followed most of their troubleshooting.

As you can see on this screenshot the add-ons are disabled. The rest of the page works fine, even the comments. It's just the video, as if the reader was not there. Also to note that the videos accessed since this problem appeared are not in my youtube history, as if they were never read.

If I use the close window shortcut (ctrl+shift+w) in Firefox it fails to close the window and treats every action I try to take as if the shift and ctrl keys were held down. For example, clicking on a tab will select it as if I were trying to move it as a group, rather than switching to it. Or, pressing only the T key will reopen closed tabs as if I had pressed ctrl+shift+T. This behavior will persist in Firefox until I close out of it completely and reopen. This does not occur when any other application is focused and ctrl+shift+w is pressed, and the effects are isolated to Firefox only when it does occur. Due to this, I do not believe that it is a hardware issue, eg. my keys just getting stuck. I haven't seen anything online that even vaguely resembles this issue. Any solution would be appreciated, even if it is disabling the ctrl+shift+w shortcut, as I keep pressing it out of habit and needing to close and reopen all of my tabs.

i do not want to reinvent my entire life with passwords you do not share with my previous search engine. please let me return to Safari, with Mozilla Firefox in the background.

More frequently than I care to admit, I seem to close FF instances which I don't want to close (such as my connection to Whatsapp). I then miss important replies or questions. Of course I can reach out to 'History' and try to find the closed Tab or Window... But that takes time.

I'd suggest adding/removing a 'protection' flag to a tab (eg. on right-clicking), so that, on trying to close the tab, or close the window containing the tab, I get a warning...

I normally put the computer to sleep at night, rather than powering down (although I do that periodically). After waking the computer, and clicking Firefox open, the browser loads with the two or three tabs I last had open, and within the minute closes. There's no warning or pop-up window saying what happened. I open it again, and within the minute it closes again. This happens four times. On the fifth try, Firefox opens without the previous tabs and with just one "New Tab" showing. After that it's fine. Also, it doesn't happen if I wake the computer and let it sit for a while before sitting down.

This is an oddity that I can live with. I'm just curious about what's going on.
