Why do PDFs come out so small when printing? ie. taking up only about 40% of an A4 sheet? Selecting "fit to page" or "scale" etc in the print dialogue makes no difference. Images: 1. Desired size. 2. Actual printed size. 3. Print dialogue.

I tried to use a ftp link setting firefox as the default ftp app, not realizing firefox no longer supports ftp. I am unable to reset the default app and can't find the setting to do so. I downloaded filezilla and wish to set it to be the default app for ftp. Can someone help me with this? Before anyone suggests it, resetting firefox to default settings is not an option.

One quality of life thing I really miss after switching from Chrome is the option to "Goto ip" when you highlight and right click on a local ip address.

I do a lot or networking and am going to local ip addresses all the time (ie 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.20.15). When I highlight an address in the local ranges in Chrome it gives the "Goto" option, but Firefox always offers "Search Google for"

I really miss this option and unfortunately all my searching has not yield a solution since search engines cant quite make sense of my requests.

When I hover over tabs, Firefox also displays a text below. So, for example, if I hover over the tab for Google Calendar, a text below shows 'Google Calender - August 2024'. Can I disable the text somehow?

I was using WhatsApp and i am facing problem. This account can no longer be used on WhatsApp. I have not done any such mistake on WhatsApp and my whatsapp is not working. It is very important to me. How do I get the + sign back on my tabs? After latest update I can only close tabs instead of opening new tab, and I am talking about after opening several tabs. When I have seven tab open, I have to do ctrl+t to open new tab instead of just clicking on the + sign that use to be at end of tabs. Yes, I do use custom settings. This happened before but I was able to fix by going to tabs under about:config, but it seems the setting is no longer there.

Please look into fixing this problem. What is the purpose of the web search bar in the middle of the screen if it cannot be used? There is a setting that allows it to be there but nothing that can make it a default search bar. The address/search bar up top is always the default no matter what I've tried. It's nerve wracking to see something there you can't use. If there is something I can do to fix this please let me know.

There are 4 toolbars at the top of the Firefox screen. The default order from top to bottom seems to be:

 Menu bar
 Tabs bar
 Navigation bar
 Bookmarks bar   (which Firefox apparently calls "PersonalToolbar")

I would like to move the Bookmarks bar above the Tabs bar so the order is;

 Menu bar
 Bookmarks bar
 Tabs bar
 Navigation bar

I tried to use ChatGPT to accomplish this. After well over 6 iterations, I gave up (ChatGPT was still going strong - hallucinating?). The only code in userChrome.css that accomplished this is shown below. Unfortunately it leaves the order as:

 Bookmarks
 Navigation
 Menu
 Tabs

This is relatively new. i have ALWAYS set my search settings so that it only shows my bookmarks and previously visited websites, and i have NEVER visited mozilla.org before now. i even install Firefox from an installer i get from a DIFFERENT PC.

So why now is Mozilla.org coming up as the FIRST result when i type the letter "M" on the keyboard?

i checked in Settings, under Search, and "Search Suggestions" are all unchecked, and the only things under "Address Bar" that are checked are "Browsing History" and "Bookmarks". And i already checked my bookmarks and deleted the newly added "Mozilla" folder (which must have been put there after an update), and History is empty, save for my few visited sites. Firefox is also set to "Never Remember History", so any NEW wesbite visits get wiped out after closing the window.

After typing "m", when mozilla.org came up in the results, i have hit Shift + Delete to remove it from the list, but as soon as i type "m" again, it's right back there!

i realize that it is self-serving for Mozilla to have themselves as a recommendation, but it clutters my view when i am looking for MY URLs; the ones that i visit regularly.

am i missing something? please tell me there is a way to turn this off...

What the hell do you guys do with the latest update?? My home page is all screwed up and does not look or act at all as my old home page. Apparently there is no way to go back to the "old" look and feel. Not a good decision. Seriously thinking of abandoning Firefox (since I used it in WIndows-7) for a browser that will make my life easier, not harder. At 81 years old I don't time to waste futzing around trying to get my home page to work. "Technology getting in the way of Life." In the mean time: how can I *force* the translation feature to appear?

Firefox used to display an AI overview response at the top of the page when you asked a question. That feature has disappeared on my systems. I assume that is because of the new AI controls. Is that function still available? If so, how do I re-enable it on Windows 10? The only video I could find addressed it for Windows 11 but I'm not there yet.

I have for years hated that the right mouse click on a link had "open link in new tab" at the top of the menu, but accepted it as the item I wanted was only the second one down "open link in new window" and it was easy enough with my aging eyes not to have to read the item and have complete confidence that the second item would be selected and would be the item intended to select.

Now, in version 150 you have introduced another item which interfers with my selection.

I detest, hate, the horror of ""Open in Split View." This should NOT BE FORCED ON ME.

I hope in a future version you will allow complete customization of that menu, so that the available items may be reordered as the user needs, especially so I may have "open link in new window" at the top of the menu

I have set my version back to 149.0.2, disabled automatic dates, and will check to see when you have an improved browser with more complete customization possible for users, even ones you do not know.

If "open in split view" had been put lower in the menu, perhaps I would be pleased to explore its usefulness, but you were impertinent and presumptuous to try to force it on me.

I get you are trying to add features... but this is one I dont need or want... and its in the place of a feature I ACTUALLY use "open link in new tab".

Very frustrating to try to open a new link only to loose HALF the screen I am currently using and NO WAY to move said tab off.

Unbelievably weird placement of this "feature".

The 'add "outlook.live.com" as an application for mailto links' keeps popping up continuously after I click to X to delete the banner message. How do I disable it? Firefox should have a "don't remind me again" option. I do not want to add mailto links or make any changes. Thank You!
