I have checked all my settings, everything in about:config is fine as far as session storing is concerned, i have tried using an add-on to save my session but the creation of 'sessionstore.js" is just impossible.

Recently updated to Firefox 25, Windows 7 and noticed that pages load slowly if at all. I then realized that pages loaded if I had my cursor in motion. Likewise, I noticed videos loaded fine but played audio straight through. The video only "moved" when the cursor is in motion. Otherwise it freezes. Don't know if it's a hardward problem, but I don't get this on IE. Have tried disabling all add-ons, no change. Have reset FF, no change. Please advise.

This thing keeps opening up popups and distorts the webpage I'm reading. I have AdBlock, but, somehow this got through. How do I disable this thing?

In addition to the question below, another problem is not only are my email responses erased when the browser refreshes, the message itself is no longer available. I have to start from the beginning point in my email list, rather than remain on the once-opened email.

By the way, I have reset and restored my Firefox as a solution, which didn't help. I did this twice, following instructions. The process was tedious and I had to recover quite a bit of information, not to mention a problem with merged bookmarks. I'd like to avoid this solution, at all costs. Here's what I said earlier. For the past several weeks, now, I've noticed that my browser "refreshes" the feed more frequently, so frequently, in fact, that any emails, forms, or survey questions that I am answering get wiped clean. This started happening with the latest update. I am unable to locate any setting in my preferences that will stop the constant refreshment (reload? page update?). This is also frustrating when trying to make purchases on line, and as I said, write emails, complete forms, complete surveys, etc.

Thank you in advance for quickly resolving this most frustrating problem? I use a Mac, and am running Mavericks. This problem was present with the previous OS, too. Thanks again!

Using Mac OS X 7.5, I updated Firefox when prompted, now Soundcloud widgets say 'data connection failure', direct links to Soundcloud pages don't load but send me to a generic 'something went wrong' page with low-res graphics. Everything else seems to work, including video streams, bandcamp etc.

I have looked at advice here for similar issues - safe restart, clearing cookies and cache don't help. I don't have adblocker or firewall, almost no add-ons, the problem occurred both before and after updating Flash.

Chrome works fine with Soundcloud, so it looks like it is a Firefox issue. Any advice?

Title pretty much says it all. I want to edit the database or whatever is holding those settings so I can add a site. Permissions manager lack the Flash settings unfortunately.

I understand the latest version of Mozilla firefox is 27. When I try to update it tells me I have the latest version 25.0.1

Which is the correct version.

I know this issue came up quite a few times but i can't manage to get proper help on this. I'm using Firefox (latest) and i'm getting pretty serious crashes ONLY when navigating . just writing this is a pain since i've crashed twice till here.

so i have a Phenom X4 920 black edition, M4N72-E with latest bios update. and i don't know why, but ONLY when firefox is opened it freezes and i have to reset everything..so i've heard java is responsible, other are saying Net framework, others are saying firefox...so before going back to a 32bit version where i can't use all my RAM but where i don't actually punch my screen, i come here to you to get help..

maybe some of you have good advices maybe on CPU voltage or whatever bugs firefox is creating in conflict with other programs..i'll be grateful.

and so you know, i can run at full power a simulator without crashes but i open firefox and write " ate some cookies" on facebook and there it goes... ^_^ ...so any ideas ?

My browser does not open to my home page anymore. When I open my browser it automatically opens to the previous session. This has been happening since I updated my Java. How can I fix this.

I would like to know how to get firefox without www.google.com/firefox.

I have been having major crashes and hang ups for months on Facebook. I've been checking plugins and updating them. Disabled some and then would run Firefox to see which one was the problem. I upgraded to Firefox 25. I've gone into my firewall on my virus protection and fixed. I've noticed that my web page for Firefox looks wrong so I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed. Same thing I have been trying for a long time to get rid of Google on my Firefox. I'm thinking this is causing my problems. Please help, I really don't know how it got changed but other family members use my computer but no one admits to doing this. I want Firefox. I have Google Chrome if I want to use it. I had uninstalled it for a while as I was having problems with it. I have now installed it again so whoever did this won't have a reason to do this again.

Yesterday, I was using Firefox 25.0.1 with no issues. Today I launched Firefox, only to find that the [X] buttons for the tabs are gone! Instead, I saw a single [x] button on the rightmost side of the tabs bar, which closes the active tab. There were no changes/updates that I made to Firefox between yesterday and today. I checked the browser.tabs.closeButtons parameter, and saw that it was still set to 1. Changing it has no effect. What's going on? Thanks, Teraforce88

Just today I have started seeing ads popping up from "Articles by Bettersurf". How can I get rid of these? I have Norton Antivirus on my computer... but this is constantly nagging me as I surf the web. I think Foxfire should check into it. I believe they have found a way to get past the pop-up blocker. I own elbertkarsten.com and run non-SSL http servers on ports 80 and 8080. I also run a SSL http server on port 443.

If I exactly type "http://elbertkarsten.com/" Firefox changes the protocol to https and issues an SSL request to my webserver over port 443.

If I specify a port (80 or 8080), Firefox will change the protocol to https and issue an SSL request over that port.

My server logs no redirects. This is entirely Firefox's behavior. I am able to use the same URL with wget and there is no protocol changing problems.

If I specify a protocol I would expect it to be used.

Normally the application displays three blocks, e-mail address, password, and sign-in. Since going to version 25, the sign-in block is no longer displayed. It is not a problem w/ IE 9.0.21

It does the same thing on a PC running Windows 7.

Hi I am a new user, so am not yet fully aware of Firefox usage.

I use http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ site many times every day. The site in general is mostly perfectly OK, but one of the links I use all the time doesn't behave in a usable way. The link on the main page is:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business/market_data/ticker/markets/default.stm, which does open, but in a new window without scroll bars. I can re size the window, but not enough to view all the contents.

If I use the link address in a new tab, everything works fine and the scroll bars are present.

I am migrating from the Opera browser and in Opera, when I use the embedded link it does open a new window but does have the scroll bars present.

Is this a Firefox issue, or maybe the site is the source of this problem - I couldn't guess which.

BTW the BBC web site is region based, and for non UK users, it may serve totally different pages.

I have looked through a bunch of FF options, but so far haven't found anything that could be relevant to the problem.

When I watch a video on YouTube, the comments section does not load. Comments do load with other browsers (e.g.Safari.)

This has occurred since the change in YouTube's comment policies, November 2013.

Google Product Forum question "Why can't I see any comments on Youtube?" showed suggestions to disable Ad Block. I either don't have Ad Block or am not seeing it in my add-ons. Is there another add-on that could be causing the YouTube comments not to load?

Hello, I am writing as I am experiencing some issues with my favorite web browser after updating to Windows 8.1. Here are some details. I updated from Windows 8.0 to Windows 8.1 and ever since Firefox has run somewhat strangely. In particular when on sites with a lot of images like Facebook. It is like there is some kind of Flikr effect between the desktop and the images and between the images and the browser (almost like old 16 bit video games flikering). It is not too bad but it is an issue. I have tried resetting firefox and restarting the computer. I haven't tried a repair, and I haven't done an uninstall yet.
