This is the second time in 4 months I've had this issue. The first time I resolved it by clearing my cache. That isn't working this time. I've looked at the help articles and clearing the cache is there. This is where I found it the first time. Any ideas?

I had a format on my computer and then I tried to log into Firefox but forgot my password, so I changed it. Now I cannot recover any of my bookmarks. Is there any way to have them back?

PC / Windows 7 (yes, still) / Firefox 100.0.2 :

Past several months on Firefox, when attempting to access a video either embedded (say, in a news site or YouTube), the download is unusually slow, with such screen notices (attached) appearing.

The "gray bar" across the bottom (which, as I understand it, indicates buffering/caching activity) immediately loads up about .25%, then awaits the video to play . . . and then it sits there and goes through any combination of the attached .jpgs.

Quite often, regardless of how many tabs are open (perhaps a half dozen), the (Not Responding) message will show up, and then it's just wait it out (usually 15-45 seconds).

Any solutions / comments / directions-to-point-me-in?

Every day I am interrupted by McAfee with daily notifications across my screen saying they have detected a virus and to sign up with them. I have NEVER been a customer of McAfee and would like these nuisances to stop. Is there a way I can ban them from my pc. Thank you.

After a reinstallation of FIREFOX, it failed to login to sync with Firefox. My account and password input are correct. And I can login to my accout with Chrome (https://accounts.firefox.com/).

my OS: ubuntu 18.04 firefox version: 100.0.2

"When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is happening - even though the box is unchecked. Only in favorites bar, not in web page or Firefox homepage Shortcuts (1 row or 2 rows) or Recent activity.

It's very irritating, so i hope there is a solution...?

I am using a new iMac with the latest version of Firefox (100.0.2) Lately when I am reading articles on news sites such as CNN or The Guardian, or on Twitter, when I click on the video the screen goes black and stays black. No video or audio. This is incredibly frustrating. Also, even when I was able to watch videos, the default was that the sound was off. I would like to know how to fix both these issues ASAP!! Hi I am using firefox in arch linux 5.17.9-zen1-1-zen kernel and after the new firefox update I can't right click in firefox. Whenever I right click the context menu shows up for 1 sec and then it automatically takes me to the previous page. Click on the image automatically prompts me to download it although I don't want to download the image. Is there anything I can do to fix the issue ?

I cannot install English GB dictionary for my spell checker. When I click add dictionaries it takes me to a page where I can select Englsih GB as one of the dictionaries available in my locale. It then takes me to the info and remove page for the dictionary but there is no option to install and no pop up to start the download appears.

Hello, I just recently restarted my computer. After I did, Firefox asked me to sign in again. I did, but now I'm on a new account without any of my other profiles. This happened once before and I was able to get my old account back, but I forgot how I was able to do that. How can I sign back into my old account?

I cannot find the right thing to change in about :config to stop the address bar stealing all my searches, it is quite irritating. I have just bought two new computers and on first I managed eventually, but have been 8 hours trying to figure it out ( as in what I did before) I am not tech savvy so only managed before by searching info online. Can anyone help with this ?

I KEEP HITTING ALTERNATIVELY :"dismiss" and "delete from history" but some i have to do it 40 0r 50 times before it stops popping back up

GARBAGE SOFTWARE

Firefox eventually crashes every time I use it, usually when there is about 165 mbs of data. I can relaunch it by both using CCleaner to clear the browser in addition to going to Firefox preferences and deleting data and history. I don't have Flash or Silverlight. I have refreshed Firefox a number of times and completely uninstalled it using the MacCleaner Pro App Cleaner and Uninstaller and reinstalling it using Mozilla's online download link.

Per an article on yahoo news, I decided to clear data by going to: Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies&Site Date->clear data

In hindsight, this turned out to be a mistake. Previously when using yahoo mail, it let me stay logged in for two weeks. Now I have to log in each time. There are also 2 or 3 other sites that logged me in automatically, but now have to log in every time.

How can I undo what I did?

Firefox (10.0002 64-bit) is bookmarking every single page I visit, making the bookmarking function useless to me. I just noticed this problem recently. Someone posted a similar question in 2016:

He seemed to think the problem was related to an app -- but someone else posted to that question and they did not have any new apps. Nor do I. I haven't knowingly installed any apps to Firefox in the last year.

Can someone please tell me how to stop the bookmarking function from booking pages automatically without my input?
