Hello, After installing the latest FF update (129.0.2), my tabs either stopped loading or taking too long to load. It can happen randomly with no particular sites. Even if the tab eventually loads, refreshing it can cause FF to go into loading mode forever. The example could be Reverb.com site that loads the home page after a delay but then searching for anything would send the tab into "forever spin". I checked it on a different router - same issue. I'm on Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1.

I have tried everything but my sites show up in microfonts and run off the page, examples are Amazon and Mailchimp. I then have to enlarge it and end up scrolling to the right to try and see the whole page. I went to the settings and changed fonts & font sizes but the problem remains. It drives me crazy and it is also time consuming. What am I not doing right or how can I resolve this?

Please reply with a step by step solution. I've tried changing some of the Firefox settings. I just tried unchecking the "Bookmarks" box and Settings box in the Sync Setting, clicked Save (left disconnect alone), left the other choices checked, and am waiting to see if this worked. Firefox is set as my default browser in all the places I know. Thank you very much!!

on PC A, firefox just lost all open tabs (even pinned ones), history (for this device only thank gods), open windows.

I installed a windows yesterday on a different PC (lets call it B), and logged in with the same microsoft account PC A uses. Then installed firefox and logged in to sync (on PC B).

Did that somehow overwrite the profile? Even though it was a different PC?

I'm having problems using Firefox in general. No websites will load properly except for the Firefox support site. It's not an internet issue because everything works fine when I use Google Chrome (I'm typing this from Chrome). I tried deleting my history and clearing caches/cookies but that didn't fix anything. I've included some screenshots of what I'm dealing with below.

Sooo frustrated... wrote this back in 2019: I can't believe this is still a problem, I am upgrading to a new laptop and so have to go through setting google.co.uk to be my default search engine - again!? - but I can't seem to make it happen. Can someone please give me the steps again. and can someone explain why it isn't possible to just choose google.co.uk to be the default - there's a whole world out there that isn't in the .com space

surprise surprise it is still a problem and the resolution provided by jscher2000 - Support Volunteer has been moved/removed:

Add-ons site, for example: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/googleuk/ (this one gets UK suggestions, the other three I checked get .com suggestions, if suggestions matter)

I find the mycroft solution doesn't help.

can anyone help with the addon required please? and a plea to make google.co.uk available as a choice please!

Ill get straight to the point, I literally cant write an @in Firefox, im currently writing this prom another program, that i had uninstalled and know reinstalled.

I live in Germany and my keyboard layout is installed as such, my keyboard itself is american basically the keyboards are not all lined up properly, the letters are correct but symbols arent, for me thats not a problem i know where everything is and know how to help myself if not.

on a German Keyboard you usually make an @ with command + Q. According to akko gear ( the keyboard company) its command +F2##

what actually works is Command + Windows + Q

This works every where but in firefox.

here is all ive done to fix it myself: -deleted all browser data + cache -seit it back to factory mode(dunno if this is the right translation) - uninstalled and reinstalled it

nothing works..

please advice me on how to fix this

Every time I open my Firefox browser another one pops up. In other words, two Firefox browsers open up at about the same time forcing me to delete one. What changes do I need to make to ensure I only open one browser?

I am attempting to do a live stream on Streamyard.com and cannot get my camera or audio to work. They work in Zoom and on that website in Chrome, so the problem appears to be specific to Firefox. In privacy and security, when I click on camera and microphone nothing is showing as having permission, and nothing can be added. I do not get the pop-up window asking whether I want to grant permission to the camera or microphone so I cannot unmute or activate the camera. Pop ups are not blocked so I should be seeing this message.

For the last few weeks, I have had the following issue on macOS Monterey (version 12.7.5) on Apple M1:

When I choose the “Restart now” option in the “Update ready to install” dialog, Firefox closes and I type the password at the admin prompt, but then nothing else happens. The Mozilla Updater process won’t appear in the Activity Monitor, and if I click on the Firefox icon in the Dock, another admin prompt appears, then the updater actually does its thing but at the same time the old version of Firefox tries to launch during the updating process. Sometimes, the updated version of Firefox appears while the old version is also on the screen. It is a really janky process and I always fear that something gets severely broken.

This never happened on macOS Big Sur, the previous major version of macOS.

I have tried to download the latest update (v129.0.2). The download stops at about 98kb. This happened on the last update (v129.0.1) as well and it took me countless attempts to get it to work.

I know there are work-arounds but why should I have to **** around with my machine just to get an update?

Firefox has been an excellent browser but something has happened. I tried to access the help and, after several minutes of a blank page, I got the attached. Other legitimate pages are not loading. Sorely tempted to revert to Safari but i have donated this year and still prefer Firefox.
