I did a clean install of Windows and downloaded Firefox, but after signing in and pressing sync none of my old bookmarks or anything is showing up. Is it gone now? I did not have Firefox on any other device.

I have Norton 360. I just reinstalled a brother printer and now I get the "Your browser is being managed by your organization". While I sync with my laptop, as others have said, I'm not an organization. There is an Enterprise policy .

I can't store or edit any bookmarks. How do I correct this? I need answers in very simple terms as I am very much a layman with computers. Thank You!

I want to make list of sites where i can off pop-up search bar. On some sites you can use custom hot keys (like youtube), but hot keys won`t work because your keys registering to pop-up search bar instead site, so it will be good idea to make exclusion list, like in addon "Dark Reader".

As I mentioned I can't seem to access my network folders. I only have this issue in this machine but I have my account on 3 different machines on the network with no issues. All have the same extensions and settings.

Recently i added some bookmarks in a dedicated folder. Afterwards i don't see the bookmark in that folder. Hoever if i click on "Search bookmarks" and enter its name the bookmark is listed. If i then rightclick on it and select "Show in folder", the bookmark is shown in the correct folder. What is wrong ? Thanks

I just got a new laptop and so I am getting everything set up the way that I like it. I have come across a problem with my sidebar though. I like to keep my bookmarks up all the time, but I want them to not be too wide and take up a lot of my screen. On this new computer, there's an addition 5 cms or so of white space at the far left of the tool bar. It had different buttons on it up at the top (one of them had something to do with AI) and a little gear down at the bottom of the space. I was able to remove all of the buttons up at the top, but I can't seem to hide the whole thing. I just want to see my bookmarks, without that extra customization sidebar. Is there a way to hide the spot highlighted in pink, but still have the bookmarks visible?

Can one change the colour of one firefox window to distinguish it from another firefox window? That would allow two people working on the same computer to use individual firefox windows and be able to quickly tell whether they are in the right window.

The 29. january I got no sound when streeming video from Firefox. I checked the situation with VLC, another media player, which had no problems with the sound. I opened Windows "sound control settings" and chose to send the sound to the monitor (HDMI). Then I got sound from Firefox. When I sent the sound back to the original device, which is an USB Audio DAC, because I use an external amplifier, and my PC doesn't have the SP/DIF output. Again there were no sound from Firefox, but sound from VLC. In addition I started Microsoft Edge, and got sound! Which means that the problem is only with Firefox.

Then I checked the time for the last Firefox update. It was january 28, the day before (or it could have been the same day), and the new version was: 147.0.2. That made me beleive that the cause of the problem was the software update. What else could have caused this problem ?

I do not know how to fix this problem. I need help, otherwise I have to quit using Firefox, which I have been using for a decade without any problems. I am using Windows 11.

I use Firefox (the current version) on a Dell Windows 11 Pro laptop. I have around 8800 bookmarks, and I've lost around half the tags on my bookmarks. (The bookmarks themselves are OK; I'm losing about half of the tabs.,) This has happened to me twice recently, and I'm restoring the bookmarks as I write these words.(after I'm finished, I'll save two copies of the HTML file for backups. Can anybody tell me why this is happpening, aaand How I can prevent it in the future?

Hi,

I was super pumped about profiles but it seems it has gone terribly wrong for me.

I created a two profiles on one computer and would like to reuse them on another. Apparently this is impossible, which is really too bad, please change that! Why would I want to redo everything on every computer that I work with? And it deleted bookmarks on other computers synched to my account, why?

And I deleted every profile on one of my computers, in the hopes to "start fresh" since I had lost all my work, and now Firefox refuses to open. It indicates "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible".

So now I need to re-install the whole app. Just... Why?
