I use Firefox on all my Android tablets, and I always want to use the desktop site version of web oages. The problem is that I have to manually set this every time I open - or reopen a web page.

I would really like to make this setting 'sticky', or to have a wsy to make it the default setting. Is there a way to do this? If not, this would be at the top of my feature request list.

Thanks

Tabs as a concept have been intentionally designed out of Firefox. Instead replaced by numerical list that isn't visible until explicitly opened! The whole idea of tabs is a range of visible alternatives, that can be easily switched between in a single step. At the risk of seeming rude it seems like a dumb idea, throwing the baby out with the bathwater!

Pdf feature does what it was created for, namely to put a document into a universal file format easily accessible by everyone.

Each search/url input from mobile home page opens new tab, using phone back button doesn't close them?

When I open Firefox on Android (version 80.x.x, latest version I can get from the Play Store), I'm greeted with the mobile home page/new tab page. I type in a search term or URL, and the results open in a new tab. When I try to go back using my phone's back button, I get taken back to the home/new tab page, but that search/website is still open in a tab.

Am I missing something? I switched from using chrome, where the phone back button would take me back to the new tab page, not generate a new tab for each search or website I type in and keep them all open until I close them manually.

I want to be able to specify when to keep a tab or open a new tab, not have a new one created for me repeatedly.

Taking screenshots of Firefox pages is extremely erratic, especially scrolled screenshots. On my device, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the only app where this problem occurs is Firefox. The results have parts of the screenshot truncated in the middle, sometimes text, sometimes parts of images, sometimes a combination. The file attachment feature isn't working, so here are examples on imgur ... https://i.imgur.com/0y3DCxE.jpg .. this is a screenshot taken of the native Samsung browser which is Chrome-based. No problem here, but compare this with a screenshot of the same page in Firefox for Android .. https://i.imgur.com/CygAFca.jpg Firefox version info.. 80.1.3 (Build #2015762835) AC: 54.0.6, cfc360e05 GV: 80.0.2-20200903001900 AS: 61.0.10

I don't know what was done in this update, but I can almost no longer use firefox. Seriously half the time it shows the address in the bottom but has a totally white screen that can't be refreshed or rerouted to a new website. The whole window has to be closed and the app has to be closed and restarted. It does not happen and frequently either I'm saying about legit half the time I try and use the internet on wifi or data. Idk why it is all of a sudden so instable but it's very annoying

With the latest update on Android (80.1.2) I have lost two features. 1) I can no longer rearrange the tabs. Collections are great, but they don't replace the old option to manually change the order of tabs. (By the way, Google recently added it to Chrome.) Is there a way to rearrange tabs in the new Firefox? Perhaps I am missing something. 2) I can no longer play YouTube audio in the background. Previously I used add-on. Now when I start playing YouTube in mobile mode, I get the correct notification with a pause / play button, but after pressing the Home button, the sound and the notification disappear. When I start playing in desktop mode and press the Home button, the notification remains, but the sound stops after about 50 seconds. Pressing the button in the notification has no effect. I am using Pixel 2 with Android 10. Is it a bug? Can I have the background sound back? Thanks,  Yury
