My Kaspersky Internet Security Suite informed me to switch from Firefox to Chrome because Firefox does not interact with Kaspersky. Is there an option to stay with Firefox and have the security features that Kaspersky Internet Security offers? Kind regards Jürgen

Hi,

I'm active and outspoken on a variety of social issues, as a result my Imac has been hacked and my system wiped clean. Following on from that I was embroiled in an unusual case of fraud and had a large sum of money deposited into my bank account. I have been very slow to rebooting and start afresh without knowing for sure, how best I can protect myself from future snoops and hackers. I have asked several people but I'm not confident enough to go ahead with the advice given. I'm at point where I really need to get it up and running as I've been operating off of my Huawei p30 phone which can be limiting at times. Will Firefox give me the protection that I need? Are there other measures that I should be looking at? Please bare in mind, that finances are limited, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest Regards Daniel Moynihan, Ireland

Hi there,

While I've enjoyed many aspects of the latest major update to Firefox on Android thoroughly, I'm upset to see that it's not possible to access information about the EV SSL certs on websites.

The whole concept is strengthening the trust, and companies go through the wars to get them, yet there's no green padlock and no ability to see the owning company's name or verified location.

It just doesn't seem right to me - can this please be brought in? Chrome hides this on Google's terms and I really dislike seeing the behaviour sneaking in to Mozilla's approach with Firefox.

Thank you for considering this improvement.

Cheers,

I opened a new private page in Firefox for Android. I navigated to aliexpress.com. I did not login. I searched for a specific item only on the aliexpress. Next day, I saw the advertisement of that item on Facebook from Wish. Privacy settings were default (standard).

I expected that Firefox private page is to prevent those kind of tracking. Is it not? What should I do to not be tracked when I use private page?

Thanks, Daniel

I've updated Firefox for Android to 79.0.4. I like the UI changes, but I cannot go to the about:config page. I get a "Cannot Complete Request" message.

I need to be able to disable javascript in my browser completely. It used to be in "about:config". Now there is no other way to disable it.

This is abslolutely critical. Javascript is the most frequent attack vector to hack phones through malicious websites. If Mozilla does not allow to disable javascript, it knowingly puts its users in danger.

Hi all, there was no topic to match, but had to choose one.

Could somebody point me in the right direction to have a few very firm words to say about the UX trashfire of

Firefox for Android 79.0.0 (Build #2015753875) AC: 48.0.8, f8d50ada8 GV: 79.0-20200720193547 AS: 61.0.10

and, a second topic, albeit closely related, the absurd workflow, interrupted without any apparent means of escape by "tell us our support is great" polls, when I try to say something that doesn't fit the boxes.

Yes, support is excellent, for specific tech requests, better than the majority. But not for "umm, hey guys, wtf did you just do, this is very bad" reactions.

If I were conspiracist inclined I'd be leaning toward the idea of "just make it too hard for her to complain, she'll get bored and go away".
