Since Firefox updated itself to 16.0.1, I cannot use dropdowns within the PayPal multiorder shipping screen. I can go into each transaction individually and use a dropdown there, but not in the main screen (which is what we use to add shipping info, since going into each one wastes much more time).

Help?????

I have the same problem. I made sure java is enabled, allow pop ups and it still does not work.

Same here; I even re-installed Java, thinking that something had broke on that end. Tried re-installing Flash, just in case they were using that(like they do for uploading pics on eBay), still nothing.

Same happening to me on my mac running 10.6, doesn't help to upgrade to 16.0.2 either. I ended up downgrading to v15.0.1 and it works now or I can use Safari but I'd rather not!

Any thoughts from mozilla? HELP!

Any fixes for this issue yet??

I finally gave up and started using Stamps.com. Got tired of having issues with PayPal shipping every time a browser updated! (I ended up with three different browsers on my computer to do workarounds - silly.)

Hi I have just switched over to Foxfire and can't use my paypal shipping as well. Is there a fix for this?

Version 17, and it *still doesn't work*. What a joke this browser has become. So now, my choice is to revert back and stay with version 15, where this *basic functionality* is still enabled, browsing around with a virtual target on my back for every hacker still exploiting holes that this older version has....or switch to Crome or, even worse, IE.

I feel like the FF team really gave up when they initiated this new, every-10-seconds-a-new-update-is-released-mentality. Now, it seems like they are just racing to the next update, making minor fixes and tweaks in an effort to get to the next version...instead of fixing stuff that was broken, or innovating with new features.

How hard would it have been to fix this issue? Version 15 - Works. Version 16 - Broken. Version 17 - Broken. Basic functionality that has worked as long as I have been using FF(*way* back in the days of updates when they were needed, not just "because")...now broken, and as far as I can tell, will never be fixed due to the sheer laziness of the team.

I guess it's time to see what this whole "Chrome" browser is all about...

I was really excited to see version 17 get released since I knew they would have finally fixed this issue. Well, after the upgrade, the drop down menus in Paypal Multi-Order Shipping STILL DON'T WORK! This is VERY frustrating. Ever since I made the mistake of upgrading to v16, I've had this problem and have had to use IE to print out my shipping labels every day. I have contacted FF about this problem but of course they won't respond.

To make sure it was not just my computer, I have disabled all the plug ins and restarted FF in Safe Mode with Add-Ons disabled. That made no difference.

I have been a huge FF fan over the past several years, but I don't know what else to do other than to go to Chrome, which I don't even like myself. But it's better than IE.

I will probably come back to FF once they fix this problem with such a simple drop down menu.

I too was hoping the drop down box issue with PayPal Multi Order Shipping would have been resolved with the update to 17.0.

I know the problem is on Firefox's side as PPMOS works in Explorer and Chrome just fine.

Hey Mozilla >>>>> are you ever going to address this issue or does it take 1,000 user complaints to get your attention?

I've fixed the problem... Sadly it was by switching to Safari...

I didn't even bother downloading 17.0 because it's obvious from the posts that the problem still remains.

I recently downgraded to v15 and it solved my problem. I know it's not the most secure. But I feel it's still better than having to deal with IE. I'd recommend a decent firewall program on top of your anti-virus though.

Also, I noticed that v18.0 Beta 1 was released. I'm not going to attempt to update myself right now since v16 and v17 let me down.

But does anybody want to give v18 a shot to see if it solves the drop down Multi-Order Shipping menus?

I found a couple of ways around it, assuming you decide to "upgrade" to version 17(or higher).

The first isn't preferable, but it does work: You install IE Tab, and then use it to embed IE in to a tab of Firefox and just use it for Multi-Order shipping. The problem with this option is that you're still using IE...but at least you can do it in the same browser...the downside is that you have to log in again.

The next is the option I have been using, but it slows down the workflow of the Multi-Order shipping format(which is there to help save time). In the Multi-Order shipping window, you highlight the order you want to ship, but instead of trying to use the drop downs(which won't work) you go to the top of the window and select "Edit" and then "Shipping Details". This brings up a small window that you can use the add the shipping details, alter the address, etc. Alternatively, you can hit "Edit" next to "Shipping Details" on the right hand side of the page.

It's not exactly what I'd call a quality fix, but it will get you around this issue until they get enough complaints to fix it(despite our comments, and the fact that the number of people with the problem keeps growing, there are still only 36 people registering the issue. I'm sure more have experienced, but just don't know where to come to discuss it or have the energy to create an account just to make a comment...

I have been having this problem too and have solved it by using IE. Ho hum. Annoying.

Yup. Been waiting months for Paypal to fix the issue and I did it myself today--switched to Safari--and paypal works fine.So it's not a paypal issue--it's a firefox isse. Sad! I've been using the fox for years now...but until this is fixed, I can't waste any more time editing each order one at a time.

more options

If you are set on using FF for paypal, yes, you can edit with the menu tab and not the dropdowns--but you have to do it for each order one at a time and it is MUCH slower.

The second weird way is to TAB. It starts at I can't remember and goes to DELETE. Then another press of the TAb key and you are on the dropdown. The arrow keys work here. And you can then tab again to the weight. STILL slower than just using another browser. So what i did was set Safari's home page for paypal, and when I want to sue paypal, I click on Safari from my dock and instantly I'm at Paypal. I'm using FF for everytihng else--but who know? Maybe I'll switch to Chrome for good until FF fixes this issue.

Has anybody tried FF v18 to see if the problem is fixed?

Guess i didn't know there was an upgrade. THAT's ODD!!! Usually software update keeps me up to date. ummmm...I seem to remember installing but maybe not restarting. I will try it now.

Confused! I just did "software update" and still have v17. Is v18 Beta? Don't think I want to try it yet unless we can go back to v17...(sometimes you can't go back from an upgrade.)

Yes, v18 is a Beta version. Just a few seconds ago, I just got a notice telling me to upgrade to v18 Beta 3. I haven't bothered to do that. I recently downgraded from v17 to v15 in order to fix this Paypal issue. I don't want to upgrade to v18 just to find out it didn't fix it, then I'll have to reinstall v15 all over again.
