Since today when I start up Firefox, I get the warning that Firefox isn't working anymore. Even before I see Google (my starting page) the warning pops up. I tried many solutions, from installing again, updating to version 14.0.1, starting my PC again, even the Safe Mode isn't working. I searched on the internet for solutions, but none are working so far. I really like Firefox and want to use it again. I dont have any crash ID or reports about it, because firefox is searching for an solution, but cant find one. After that he just closes the firefox screen.

Ok, so to recap what happened and what you did: You uninstalled Firefox, then went to the program files and deleted the mozilla folder. Then after backing up your profile, you delted the folder inside appdata then you restarted your PC and reinstalled Firefox

It sounds like something else is going on here.

Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.

Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
  2. In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
  3. From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
  4. Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
  5. Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
  6. Paste each ID into the reply window on the forums.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, then Let's try this: Read the following article, and try to create a new profile. Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles

When I open the profile manager, even then I get the same warning that Firefox isnt working anymore!

more options

Ok, let's try this then.

First, verify you have a backup copy of your profile (Recovering important data from an old profile will show you how to, as will Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles ).

After doing that, uninstall Firefox from your computer. Use the Add Remove programs inside your control panel to do that.

Then, open up your Computer, go to the C:/ Drive. Go to Program files (it may be called Program Files(x86)), and find the Mozilla Firefox folder. Delete it.

Then, click your start button, type in %APPDATA%, and press Enter. right click the folder called Mozilla (I would make a copy of this folder first) and click delete.

Then, restart your PC.

Now, go to www.getfirefox.com , and re-download Firefox and reinstall it. Does Firefox work now, or at least provide you a crash ID?

Gonna try it now!

I got it working again! Thanks alot :)! How can I get my old profile back again? So I have all my favorites again?

If you read Recovering important data from an old profile, it will help you copy the data from your old profile to your new one.
