What is your Firefox start page?

Does the about:home page work?

My start page is called: "Mozilla Firefox Start Page." What do you mean by, "about:home page?"

There used to be a box on the screen for me to type in my searches, but now the box has disappeared.

Which URL do you see on the location bar?

Did you try to open the about:home page via the location bar?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

This is what it it says:

That is an old Firefox home page that Google doesn't maintain anymore.

You can set the home page to about:home or leave the setting in the Options window empty to get the new Firefox home page.

If I click on the box "RESTORE TO DEFAULT," I get an almost blank page with the Google Search Box. On the bottom of the page, there is a small box that says "Restore Previous Session." Is this what you are talking about?

Yes. That is the new default about:home home page.

The about:home page only shows some snippets and has a button to restore the previous session if applicable.

If you want a home page with extras like previous Firefox versions have then set another page as the home page like www.google.com as used in Firefox 3 versions or the iGoogle site ([www.google.com/ig]).

Thanks for your help. I think I am all set now, however, on this new Home Page, it is telling me to "Download Firefox Beta." I wonder what will happen if I download it.
