How to get Firefox banner to show up to remember passwords.
I checked Tools and the password section and the site I was looking for was not there.
I really do not want to upgrade to 5. I am not good with changes, especially visual. So I found the link to avoid updates.
Unfortunately, I did not catch it in time when Firefox went from 3.0 to 3.1....
This caused a serious disruption of my web pages. Lines are overlapping. The only thing not affected is Google.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
