How to stop Firefox from stealing focus with a web page with an <embed> tag
Hi I've got a web page that constantly refreshes.
Every now and then, it will play a sound using html like this:
<EMBED SRC="http://www.mywebsite.com/mysound.wav" WIDTH=10 HEIGHT=10 AUTOSTART="true">
Whenever this sound is played, Firefox has some very annoying behaviour:
1) The firefox window loading the web page will grab focus. However, the tab loading the web page will not have focus - the current tab retains focus. 2) If the firefox window loading the web page already has focus, but in another tab, then you lose the ability to type in that tab. You have to click somewhere else (eg url bar), then click back on the form you're typing on to keep going. It also works in reverse, if you're typing in the url bar, you have to click on the web page somewhere, and then click back in the url bar to keep typing.
How can I setup firefox so that it will not steal focus nor interrupt other browsing whenever that embedded sound is played?
