Hi guys! What is causing my Firefox to open up more Firefox browsers when I start Firefox? When I start up Firefox, 1 out of 3 times it will open up a ton of browsers. Sometimes it opens up enough to where it opens up about 40 browsers. I do not know why this happens. I have done step by step instructions on uninstalling my Firefox, and making sure everything is cleaned out except for my custom settings and addons. God Bless.

This can be a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

You will have to redo App Tabs and Tab Groups after deleting sessionstore.js.

Thank You so much for a reply. I will try this out and see if it causes any further problems. Thank You so much.

Well I tried looking for the Profile folder and do not have one. I guess I will have to try a clean reinstall and see if that fixes it. This will be the second time I do a clean install.

The profile folder is in a hidden location (%AppData%), so make sure that you can access hidden folders.

You can use:
